Style Nine to Five is a fashion career website for Canada that brings employers and job seekers together and offers advice from experts in the industry to those in search of their dream career.

Employers are encouraged to post their positions, for 30 days. If the position is not filled within this month, the job posting will be re-​posted for another month! Employers can also search a resume database of pre-​screened, qualified applicants that hold positions, such as ‘Product Developer’, ‘Fashion Designer’ or ‘Visual Merchandiser’ with degrees from Ryerson in Toronto or Parsons in New York, to name a few.

The site is visited by job seekers who not only want to work in fashion, but who are knowleable in the industry. Over the years, I’ve made many great contacts, including faculty at fashion schools, Editors, Recruiters, HR Directors, Designers, Media and more and this has helped attract top-​notch candidates to Style Nine to Five.

History

Established in 2010.

I have been a Retail Recruiter for the fashion industry, as well as a Store Manager, Buyer, Fashion Writer, and ‘Fashion Expert’ for local TV, such as Shaw’s Urban Rush and City TV’s Breakfast Television. I understood the difficulties involved with recruiting, having had to screen hundreds of resumes on general job sites, and when I realized the demand for such a service, I developed Style Nine to Five.
