Made a few large orders from here for my fathers funeral reception and celebration of life. One of my favourites is their weiner croissants, which i don’t recall seeing at other bakeries. I have to admit, quality at some of the other bakeries is probably a tad better, but I like supporting owner Joanne as her and her staff are pleasant, although Joanne is good at upselling you to buy«3» of everything to get the better price(which saves you $ 0.05) =) prices are cheap and when you spend $ 10+ they give you a 10% discount. As my hubby has commented multiple times, he really doesn’t understand how they make money when you charge $ 1.50 for 3 pasteries(even less if you get the extra 10% off!) The plaza offers free ½ hour parking and $ 0.50/hour or is it half hour after that?!

Tiny chinese bakery on ground level of the Chinatown plaza where Floata chinese resto is. doesn’t have as much selection but the usual goodies, ie egg tarts, sesame dessert balls, sponge cake, & rest of birthday crème cakes. It’s average, & so are the prices, think it’s better to walk a block up to Big Boss for better selection & quality. It’s a good one if you want to avoid lineups & not to be seen lol. Nice service consistently. Plenty of parking here.

A ceaseless quest to find the ultimate coconut bun, combined with the only empty parking spot in Chinatown in front of this establishment, made it a no brainer to go check it out. Let us just say that I am glad that I didn’t have to go out of my way. I picked out my standard variety of sweet and savoury buns to go. It is inexcusable that in the late morning the baked goods already tasted somewhat dry and stale. Like many of the other Chinatown bakeries, the buns were priced very inexpensively but I would rather pay a bit more for something fresher tasting.
