On a Sunday morning … the music is set at high volume! forget trying to get a a quaint conversation going. I met up with a long time friend and tried to do a catch up session with her. We were almost yelling to get our message through to each other. other than that, the drinks are made well. Food is yummy. Service is with a smile.

One of the nicer Starbucks locations, because of the location and large size. Parking is plentiful in the large strip mall lot. What makes this place great? Let’s start with the nice newer building. Everything is clean and shiny. Then there are the large bay windows that give a great view of the people and trees. Then there are the large number of outdoor tables. Special mention, as it allows for larger groups to hang out during sunnier days. The place is bustling, but not overloaded. Staff were friendly and helpful, and gladly refilled my drinks as needed. Definitely going to come back to this one.

Like any other Starbucks, it goes to show you that most of the times. You go in, order your coffee, say your name and get your order. Most of the time, you will get your name written terribly wrong. If I were you, just say a nickname that would be easier to say. Service was normal as expected, we know everyone is stressed out in the morning, in the afternoon and at night, but this is Starbucks in a nutshell.

I never thought I would give a Starbucks 5 stars, but 5 stars it is! I love this location, it always has this welcoming suburb-y kind of vibe; someone is always sitting outside no matter how hot or cold it is! What makes it even better is that they’re open on the least-expected holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc. In terms of size, it’s no bigger than you’re average Starbucks but has a good spacious layout. I rarely see the same staff working but they are consistently pleasant and attentive, much more than any other locations I’ve been to. Apart from the peak hours(7−8am, 12pm, 3pm?), this store generally doesn’t suffer from any overcrowding. However, I would still recommend against studying or working here as the combination between chatter and music tends to get very distracting. But that’s what libraries are for, right?(See: Champlain Library about 1 minute walk away) Note: As other Unilocalers have noted, the small parking strip is a nightmare. Walk or park farther away(near the dollar store/grocery store) if you want to keep your sanity. Otherwise, if you’re lost on the holidays and need your daily dose of caffeine, you know where to go. TL;DR– Open during holidays. Rather empty during non-peak hours. Not a great place to study.

Ya this is the place to be in this neighborhood ! Great friendly staff that is well managed by Ruby. Everywhere is always clean and food is good, pastries are always nice. The coffee is served just as Starbucks wants it but it’s the staff that makes this place just a bit better. They are friendly fast effiecient and work hard at what they do. They make it a community place with lots of regulars and friends stopping in or visiting with someone. This Starbucks is also very nice because it’s south facing so it gets sun almost all day with ample patio space. There is also lots of plug ins located around the store for those who need to work on computers and the WiFi is decently fast to boot ! Sometimes there is a lack of parking directly infront of the store but within a short walk from other parts of the lot you are sure to find a place. Just be sure to obey that 4 way stop, sooooo many people just drive thru it.

This is one of my favorite Starbucks locations. It’s right near the Champlain Mall complex. It’s close to home and ’cause it’s in a homely small neighborhood everyone knows your name. You always see your neighbors sitting and having coffee. It’s more sociable being in a small casual district. No one is in a rush(unless you need to catch the bus), therefore, it’s easy regardless of time of day to avoid the pretentious«I have 10 things on how to make my drink specific» diva complex. Demographic that comes here are mostly the elderly since there are 3 old folks home in the area and they’re no fuss. They just want hot water and a tea bag or simple coffee. The staff always remember what I said the following day before and always ask for a follow up. I wait to get my SB from here just for the ambiance. My mom sometimes comes here when she does her shopping at Extra Foods ’cause she appreciates and feels comfortable not using the lingo for drink size or any other pretentious coffee language that comes with the culture.

Your average Starbucks in terms of layout/size, but a terrible one to drive to, if anyone who has been here would know. It’s narrow lot to begin with, then because it’s at the end, you have to drive through cars backing in with the other businesses in this plaza, as well as pedestrians walking everywhere. Best VIP seating here are the 2 lounge chairs on the right when you enter, a bit more private than the mayhem in the back.

This location is quite small but in the perfect place, it shares the plaza with Booster Juice, A&W, Extra Foods, and Kin’s Farm Market among others in Champlain Square. I live a few blocks away so it’s convenient for my morning coffee runs on the way to work(especially if I’m late). Staff here are pretty friendly and efficient haven’t experienced any major delays even during peak hours

Are all Starbucks the same? This is a fairly large, busy store. During the time I was there there was an almost consistent lineup. Service was quick, but there did not seem to be as much interaction with regulars as you see at other stores. Lots of seats, a long table down one window and a few couches. They have a large covered patio, with almost as many seats outside. The location is in a mall, so there is lots of parking. As clean as you would expect a Starbucks to be. Worth dropping into for your caffeine fix :)

Starbucks is most convenient coffee shop in Vancouver. I usually go in and out. On Xmas Day, some Starbucks were opened. My girlfriend and I wanted to find a place for coffee and chic chat, we went to Champlain mall one. We found they’re super busy while we sitting there. Long line up and all seating full. We had to wait for 5 mins to get a corner table and our coffee. Well… good to have coffee on Xmas Day.

A few years ago, I would’ve given this location a terrible review. The people there at the time were not friendly and rude and very lathargic. There’s since been a new batch of people(or that I’ve noticed), and a recent renovation and I’m glad to say that this place has made a turn for the better. This review wouldn’t be glowing… but it’s worth mentioning that I am a coffeeholic… and although there are at least 3 usual starbucks I usually go to, this being one of them, I feel like this is still the worst of the 3. I was amazed that one of them actually tried to make small talk with me the other day! The service and attitude I get from the other regular locations have my drink down to a science and know me by name, but this one doesn’t seem to care. The only reason why I go to this one is because it’s basically just outside my house. There isn’t much to comment on the quality as it is basically the same everywhere so it’s mainly the service that really prompts a review.

I only came here since the people I was with wanted to(I don’t like coffee, and that means I have to buy one of the more expensive mixed drinks). But I discovered their Vancouver Island Oat Bar! It doesn’t have fudge like the other one, which makes it lighter and cheaper. For about $ 1, it was just sweet enough to be considered sweet(yay) and not too crumbly to eat in the car.

It’s just so useful to have a Starbucks just steps away from my house! It’s your basic run of the mill Starbucks, they are all clones of each other anyways. When it comes to chain stores, I don’t really have to much expectation other than consistency and this one meets that 99.9%. I don’t even know why I am reviewing a Starbucks, but I guess this is more of a general review for all Starbucks. I like that I can get unlimited internet on my phone and a few hours on my laptop and I LOVE that they have introduced recycle bins to their locations. I’m not actually sure if this one has one yet becuase I haven’t been in for a while. If they don’t I hope they get on it soon, for consistency sake… or else I may have to come back on here and re-review them St3Fin

Another HQ owned store located in the Champlain Mall district. I love this branch as the people who work here remember my name and who I am. This is a branch which I like as well because of the comfortable seating! This is the best place to study and not have other people to bother you. I love it! I love coming here often to grab a nice drink to go or either for here in my own personal cup. The staff here are friendly and I like this branch as it is located in a very good neighborhood. Everyone is nice and it really reflects off the staff. The place is very clean and tidy. The tables are never dirty here, which is a great plus. The staff are very attentive with filling up the milk here and they never have that disgusting smell of moldy milk. For sure the place has a friendly environment, and the place is kept tidy, and the people who work here are extremely attentive with their customers. They deserve better than a 5 actually! :D

I don’t always go to this branch, simply because of the bad service that is here. None of the baristas smiles, or look friendly at all. It seems to me as if they are all forced to work there simply for the money and/or the work experience, and they’d rather be someplace else. What really put me off was what happened yesterday: Usually, you’re suppose to put the lid on your drink yourself at one of the little counters with all the milk, honey, sugar, stirrers and such. I had my large handbag on one arm and was attempting to safely cross over with my uncovered hot tea from the pick up counter to one of these little counters. There was another lady there who took up almost half the space on the little counter, and there was a Starbucks employee there taking up the other half of the counter, just rearranging the milk and the bottles. I stood there waiting for either one of them to finish, figuring that the Starbucks employee would soon be done rearranging and give me the space to land. The Starbucks employee finally looked up and saw me there holding my large handbag and a large up of hot tea with foam almost going over at the rim and said to me(quite rudely), «There’s another counter over there you know.» She pointed to this other counter that was at least another 9 – 10 feet away, and continued to rummage away. Yes, there is another counter… correct me if I’m wrong, but I’m the customer here… shouldn’t the Starbucks employee move away just to let me at least put my lid on? And besides, rearranging bottles of milk and such, can’t that be done another time? Definitely won’t be coming back here. There’s another Starbucks in this neighborhood that will be getting my business from now on.
