C’mon Starbucks, didn’t you think we’d notice? I brought my cool coupon over to get a cheaper latte and added on a brownie and the cost was 7+ dollars. So «La Boulange» is costing me an extra 2 bucks now? That could start adding up. I don’t object to the quality of the treats which are reasonably tasty, it’s the whole corporate, pulling the wool over consumer’s eyes, betting that a pretty-in-pink new marketing campaign with it’s accompanying fancy new price tag is going to fool us into spending even more of our hard earned dollars with you. Not to mention that you’ve switched your baker from a local company to a San Francisco(read: US based) behemoth, causing the employees of said local company serious lay-off insecurities. I’m going to think that’s not going to go over well in local food lovin’ Vancouver. There are several excellent bakeries and coffee shops in the area I’d recommend as alternatives where your baked goods are made locally; such as the cozy and extremely delicious Black Rook Bakery or the fun train station-themed Platform 7.

I’ve had a few sad arms moments when I’ve left the shop to catch a bus to class or work! I’ve opened the paper bag to find something other than my order… and felt so let down. I’m the kind of person who thinks on my order well before entering and I’m ready to place it when I arrive. This locations staff has been a little lack luster. Its a hard one, when your pastry isnt the one you ordered, and its your breakfast! Overall, the staff is friendly, fast, and some days, I get extra change because the poor noobie would count wrong. I’m a good gal, and return it hoping for a good turn in my future. Im a bit superstitious(*-*) overall, I like how large the space is, plenty hipster hotties to view, and many seats at any time of day! 4FORYOUGLENCOCO! YOUGOGLENCOCO!

This location is not as busy, ample seating and decent array of pastries. Barista is really nice and makes my drink to order. Not my regular SB, but something a little quieter away from the downtown core.

For me, this is your standard, run-of-the-mill Starbucks. My problem is with all the older men who take up all the tables!!! They’re there every single time I’ve gone in to get coffee!

Good service typical coffee. Decided to have breakfast and getting a table here can be challenging. Its full of older chinese guys that are outside smoking and holding all the tables. Very annoying to be honest. If your sitting its yours if you go outside and leave tables when others waiting to bad.

I’ve given up on this Starbucks. After about a dozen visits, I’m done. Each visit has had a problem. Most often, they screw up my drink at least once, sometimes twice. I’ve been overcharged quite often. They have a guy working there on Sundays who’s a real piece of work. He doesn’t properly communicate orders to the barista, and gets all butthurt and whiny when he makes an error and gets corrected. I’ve tried contacting corporate and got the usual canned apology, but no change has come of my efforts. So, to other locations I go.

This one is okay, but sorta dark inside. The people working here are really nice, although when I walked up to the counter, no one appeared to be actually working. The manager(?) was sitting on a chair talking with a customer. Maybe he was on his break? The patio doesn’t really get sunny, but at least they have one. If you want a sample, they’ll politely give you one. What makes this one unique is that the patrons are friendlier, too. And this is the place to go if you are a single girl! All men in here, few women patrons, and everyone is friendly. I guess that’s because the Lulu crowd stays in Kits! So if you happen to be in the area shopping at LD or Donald’s – check it out! I

Another Starbucks, but this one lacked a little customer satisfaction. This one is pretty typical just like any other other. They got a nice little enclosed patio in the front, some couches near the back and a back entrance that leads to a parking lot. The few times I do come here, I like strut my way in through the back entrance(like real Chinese) and rude demand for service! Lol naw, but they do seem to drop the ball when I show up. Sometimes the cashier is like staring into nothing as I wait for him to finish. I guess they’re really that bored there. Besides the whole spaced out employees I get from time to time, I do still come back, cause they still make a good cup of caffeine.

Ok, normally when I visit this starbucks, which is near where I’ve been working for over 4 years, I have had mediocre to really decent service. But today it wasn’t about the service that prompted this review. It is the prices. I thought I’d treat myself to a grande cinnamon dolce latte because it was pretty stressful at work and I deserved a treat. I can’t drink milk so of course there’s the soy add-on… WOW! $ 5.78!!! I’m repulsed. Is this the norm? FORGETIT! I’m going to save myself money AND calories by getting a trusty black drip coffee next time, or maybe just hit up the Sweet Tooth Café on the next block down for free soy in a latte of the same size for 3 bucks less. Starbucks may not serve the best coffee in town, but they do one thing that other coffee shops don’t do. They provide an «experience.» To each person the experience is different. My personal experience is that all the friendly baristas know who I am by name, know my drink and will actually come and sit down with me for a few seconds to chit chat. Is it any wonder why Starbucks is a giant? If other stores followed their business lead, they can create a loyal clientelle even if they sell widgets.
