In the heart of Kitsilano, it’s a throw-back to a Greek Parthenon. Centrally located and occupying a great location, when you need a good, consistent and not too expensive place to go, this is it. When you need a massage by an RMT and hopefully you’re covered by insurance, why go somewhere else? Spa Ethos is beautiful and you can go to the steam room, sit in the relaxing tea/wait room and chill out. I like the fact it’s never too busy and it’s cozy. My massage therapist was very good and knowledgeable about techniques and answering my questions. It serves all their guests with a true spa philosophy.

A massage at Spa Ethos will cost you a pretty penny, but after having a much less expensive massage somewhere else, I think I am convinced that sometimes you really do get what you pay for. I’ve had both a regular and hot stone massage at Spa Ethos. I found the hot stone massage to be a bit distracting, what with all the walking back and for to get one hot stone at a time and the clinking sound of the stones whenever they were handled. I much preferred the standard massage. The spa has a nice shower facility along with a eucalyptus steam room. Before and after your treatment, you’ll sit in a robe in a very tranquil room with a fireplace. They call it the«intention room.» Ahh, I am relaxed just thinking about it.
