History

Established in 2011.

Founded in 2011 by Mo Dhaliwal and Michael Parks, Skyrocket has grown steadily into a diverse team of strategists, designers, developers, production managers and content specialists.

Over the last two years, Skyrocket has partnered with various organizations in the non-​profit, cultural, and social enterprise spaces.

Meet the Manager

Jorge A.

Manager

Jorge left the volcanoes of Mexico City in 2007 to pursue a Bachelor of International Relations and a Master of Political Science at the University of British Columbia.

Since graduating, Jorge has held diverse roles in non-​profits and Canadian startups. He has worked as an account executive for the Hootsuite Enterprise team, as a project manager for an opinion research firm, and as a digital strategist for Free The Children.

Jorge is also the creator of a successful social initiative called #bemyamigo, which aims to facilitate human connections and battle social isolation in Vancouver. This got him invited to deliver a Pecha Kucha talk about the importance of talking to strangers, where he spoke about his interest in increasing civic engagement.

When he isn’t busy talking to strangers, Jorge is talking to clients to understand their stories and help them connect with their audience. He speaks four languages and would probably enjoy chatting with you in at least one of them.
