Business Owner
After growing up in Germany and England, Peter returned to his birth place of Vancouver to attend St. George’s School. Upon attaining a first class undergraduate degree at U.B.C. (1983) he moved over to the University of Victoria to obtain his Juris Doctor degree at the law school there (1986). After articles (legal apprenticeship) Peter travelled the world, including a winter mono-skiing in the Alps.
In 1988, he decided to pursue the private practice of law, following in the footsteps of his grandfather (a solicitor in London, England from 1931 to 1958 and of his father (a solicitor in Vancouver from 1958 to 2008).
He remembers his greatest legal achievement in those formative years as assisting the set-up of the legal structure for the provincial Business Improvement Areas. Peter’s community-mindedness continued after his move to Whistler, with his wife Susan, in 1993.
