I saw these guys represent some of their products at this year’s Eat Vancouver. Samples were okay, nothing that really popped out at me in terms of flavor, however, they were friendly at the booth and weren’t shy about coupons.

I don’t kno what to say… I went to buy challah bread expecting it to be awesome but it wasn’t. It was Friday and I didn’t need to reserve one and just popped in. It was $ 5.95 and it was more expensive than Breka bakery and not as good or «eggy» as i hoped. I ‘ll stick to Breka for Challah.

This was my first visit here and I cannot be any more disappointed. As someone who has lived in Israel and has eaten kosher/Israeli shawarma, this shawarma was a joke. For 10.95! You have got to be kidding me, you can get double the meat AND size for half as much anywhere else in vancouver. Our meat was poorly«heated up», the pita wasn’t warmed up, the salad toppings were okay but you can tell they have been sitting out for quite some time. We chose to eat in and wow! The seating area was dismal, not one table was cleaned considering they have plastic toppers. Definitely not worth the price for a kosher shawarma. Only 2 stars because they had my favorite snack food.

So good and amazing here. The people are so friendly and attentive. When you order a falafel you can choose from tons of different vegetables other than the regular and different kinds of salads. The chicken is also amazing I decently recommend this place

I had a falafel on pita. Love the Israeli style topping options, of which you can choose up to four(plus hot sauce if ya want). It was good. Pita and falafel were fresh tasting. Next time, I’ll mix the toppings up a bit, and maybe get the Vegetarian version of Shawirma. I was told by a fellow customer it’s a product of Israel. Had I known, I would have tried this time. The cashier and cooks were very prompt, courteous and helpful. They have some Kosher imported Israeli products, but are more expensive compared to some other area Kosher importers, for the same product. Maybe they don’t buy in bulk. I don’t know.

Sabra’s a nice restaurant with great hummus, tahina, and veggies for falafel. I loved their shakshuka, too! My husband and I had breakfast there several times there and really enjoyed it! They also have some great options, including takeout challah, Israeli and kosher products, kosher grape juice, havdalah candles, ect. Very useful!

It’s High Noon on the Eve of the Jewish New Year. A Have Dozen people are waiting to pick up there orders. In my mind the order is simple. A Sweet Round Challah, and Honey Cake to Accent our Holiday Table. As I approached the cash Customers asked give not only there name but phone numbers as well to ID there prepicked order. I’m not good with lines So when I saw a table with Challah’s cooling. I thought great! Looks like a self serve area to me so I bag a Sweet Challah and approached the register. The Owner shouts in Hebrew to stop the action I put down the Challah. I then apologized got back to my spot in-line. I watch as people who no longer know to use cash do business with a store that is set up as a cash business. Now it my Turn, I know I had to be efficient. I asked for a Round Sweet Challah and and Honey Cake, The Proprietor says No Sweet Challah all presold. I was crushed, because I like the Owner, I decided to give him a break in pubic,(I am honestly not sure what the proper move was). Maybe I should have made a scene and Demanded a Round Challah. Then I felt philosophical decided someone may needed that Challah on there table then I did. The Owner recovered when he personally made two wonderful falafel for us which we brought home and ate for lunch.

Beyond the falafel(indeed delicious), Sabra currently makes the best challah in town. Their regular loaf is nice, but the sweet challah is the real gem.

Delicious falafal that is made to order. Tons of toppings that you can put in the pita with the scrumption fried balls to make it your own. It can be a bit slow on the service, especially at lunch, but definitely worth a few minute wait. Baked goods are equally tasty, especially the bubkah.
