Rogers Arena

I was so happy to come here just because the flash is shot in Vancouver. The stadium reminded me of the tv show. This is probably one of the nicest arenas in the nhl. I really want to come back and see a canucks game here. I really love the city and the things you can do around here. I was able to go inside the arena because of work. I got to look around. It was a really fun time just wished I got to see a game. I was also looking for the flash, dr. wells, cisco and the rest of the team LOL

I am a Canucks season tickets holder so I frequent Rogers arena on a regular basis.
I am basing my review on my experience during the canucks games, as I have never attended any other events at this venue.
Concession and food and beverages services that are available during canucks games– As one would expect, food and drinks are not cheap. $ 8 for the cheapest can of beer (Molson Canadian), and a $ 9 or more for the more premium kind of beers. It can quickly add up and you might want to consider taking out a bank loan for beverage purchases if you frequent hockey games and like your drinks. If you do the math, it can certain add up quickly. Same goes for the food. $ 15 for a burger combo, $ 7 for a slice of pizza… well you get the idea. My advice is to eat at Costco across the Street. Can’t blame $ 1.5 for a hot dog and a pop.
Parking – if you get there an hour before puck drop, you might be able to find metered parking near by, around Chinatown. If you park at the nearby parking lots, it will be expensive most likely at least $ 25 per vehicle. I usually take the skytrain as there is a skytrain station right across from the arena.
The atmosphere during Hockey games is rather underwealming. Canucks sucks right now so that might have something to do with it. I notice a lot of fans like to chitchat while the game is on. Maybe they get their tickets dirt cheap and just show up at the game to socialize and talk about the weather. i don’t care, but it is annoying to the max when people like me are trying to catch the game. So if you are one of those people – shame on you and please stay home next time. There are actually Hockey fans that show up to watch their team play.

Been to Rogers Arena twice and I still can’t believe there are no cup holders. Let’s talk about the countless times I’ve had drinks spill on me from bring placed on the floor and I’ve been here TWO TIMES. LUCK OR WHAT? Maybe some small coat or bag hangers would be great. The layout is confusing and I don’t know if it’s me or not but I never know where the heck I’ll end up next and its a circle ffs! The only thing I’ll give this place brownie points for is being close to the skytrain station and the productions of concerts and events seem to be pretty awesome in here.

Went here to see Iron Maiden on Sunday, April 10^th. All in all, pretty good to see big live acts but there was a few concerns:
The security was not very good (at the door).I and my friends were barely pat down and I saw a lot of bottles that came in. Furthermore, We had GA (floor admission) and nowhere was it indicated that we could use a line just for those tickets. Needless to say I (and many others) waited in the wrong line !!! They were both gate # 3 but one was way shorter (the one for GA, wich we had tickets for).I don’t know if ticketmaster goofed or Rogers but this was a damper on the evening)
Like every large venue of this type, the food & drinks are exasperatingly overpriced so be forewarned !!
The concert itself was an ¹¹⁄₁₀.

The boyfriend and I went on a summer Pacific Northwest road trip from LA. We didn’t necessarily have an itinerary, but we knew we wanted to see Rogers Arena. Because it was August, we were unable to attend a game. We did however, stop by for photos and a trip to the team store.
First off, the stadium is in a very central location. We found convenient metered parking and walked around the neighboring BC Palace, as well. I always feel a little tentative when entering a division rival’s home turf, especially after seeing photos from 2011 SCF. I prepare by mentally creating a list of retorts. I had Game 5 of 2012 Playoffs in my back pocket, locked and loaded. Luckily, we were warmly greeted by several store employees. When I expressed my relief to them one replied, «We’re all friends in the offseason.»
Since attending a game at United Center, I started gifting pint glasses to my beer-​guzzling boyfriend. I kid. He mostly drinks water from them. We had a couple choices from the impressive two-​story team store, but settled on a glass with a mesh jersey pattern.
It was a little hard to take a good photo of the arena due to an obstructed view from the train. I’m still nervous about attending a Kings game here, but I won’t let a few bad apples spoil it for me.

Came to Rogers arena for my first hockey game. My good friend thought it be worth trying the slider and this is the result. Thank you for the hair I mean pube.

Came here for a hockey game last week, my first ever. I’m not particularly interested in the sport, so I never really made a special effort to catch a game live before.
I attended a Backstreet Boys concert here some years ago, back when it was named GM Place. Can’t recall much about that experience, so I’m just writing about my most recent hockey game visit.
The arena is a short walk from the Stadium-​Chinatown Skytrain station. Before entry into the compound, there is a metal detector screening. A good security measure to have, since large crowds gather here.
I was impressed with how bright, clean and new everything inside looked! The concession selection is absolutely amazing here. So many choices ranging from Triple-O’s, Jugo Juice, Pizza Hut, Steamers, Carve sandwiches, to the standard hotdog, popcorn, and pop stalls and stands! There’s even a snazzy Canucks bar serving up fancy alcoholic libations. Visitors to this arena are really spoilt for choice when it comes to concession selection! Prices are pretty standard for such event venues. We paid $ 4+ for a small bottle of plain water. It seems a bit of a rip but hey, the bottle is Canucks branded! Haha.
Besides the concession stalls, there are also some entertaining things to see and do in the arena, aside from the actual game itself. Lots of photo ops with exhibits and interesting sports displays, and a Canucks gear store selling fan merchandise.
Overall, I had a great experience at this venue. Will be glad to return again for concerts or sports games in the future!

Came here to watch a hockey game. It definitely is a good stadium. Best part I thought were the concession stands. So much variety! While most other stadiums seem to have one or two fast food stands and several generic food stands, here every stand has something different. Prices are what you would expect them to be though.
The atmosphere is pleasant. They strive hard to keep the crowd at a respectable level. So watch what you say and/​or yell, don’t express too much frustration or you can get kicked out, even if you’re cheering for the home team!
What I didn’t like however is the location right in the middle of the city. No dedicated parking lot and you must rely on the private lots with their various prices and «game time» parking rates. Also you must enter the arena through your assigned gate as there are parts of the main concourse that are blocked. Also no cup holders at the seats, the nerve!
Overall I did enjoy myself here and would not mind attending future events.

However, got a ticket as a Christmas present, so it was a no brainer
Anywhere you sit here will be a pretty decent seat, and the crowd is usually pretty good. just don’t sit in the corporate seats/​lower bowl
Anyway, beer prices haven’t changed. they were charging 8 dollars a beer. and not good beer at that. If you wanted a Goose Island IPA it would cost you 11 dollars! Not sure why they would charge that much. perhaps the name sounds exotic?
Pretzels are still salty as feck
Overall, a good experience, but not a regular one. If you want to have a good time, expect to spend 60 – 100 extra on top of the ticket price

Decent stadium with decent concessions. I really appreciated the Jugos juice smoothie stand! Beats the hot dogs, popcorn, and soda.
We were here for a hockey game (Canucks got their asses handed to them!). We were in the nosebleed seats and it was still a pretty good view from where we were.

Cool spot. Expensive ish but typical arena food prices. I have been here for many Canucks games, concerts and shows.
I like it here. Venue staff are professional and kind. The exiting of the crowds is pretty much streamlined, as is the entry process.
Box seating here too is a must try, especially for those who like their personal space (each suite has its own server who can even go down and get you white spot etc if you ask). Private washrooms also in each suite.

My absolute favorite hockey arena of all time! Funny thing about it is that it’s not particularly «fancy» or posh. They don’t have «gourmet food» (not that I saw anyway) or servers in the VIP sections like at Madison Square Garden (I’m from NYC). What they do have at Rodgers is something that no amount of money could ever buy, they just have a great vibe and very serious fans. You certainly won’t see people texting here (maybe between periods), nope the Canucks fans actually watch the game, and know incredible amount about it. I’m not by any means saying that the arena is a dump or anything it’s actually pretty modern, and they have an amazing store where you can get just about anything that’s Canucks branded. They have great hockey food and the angle of the seats is just right. I can’t wait to get back to Vancouver to see another game.

I’m not really sure how to rate an arena; it’s not like you have a choice of which arena to go to. «Hey, honey, let’s go to the arena tonight.» «Okay, which one?» «Um, how ’bout Rogers?» «Um, okay.»
The good news is, in a world where large public venues are few and far between (this is probably a good thing), Rogers does it pretty well. It’s conveniently located across from the SkyTrain station, so it’s easy to park on the outskirts of town and mass-​tran your way in rather than pay the inflated event parking fees (and fight traffic). The signage is good, too, so it’s easy to find your way to your seats. There are a LOT of stairs to climb, though, even if you’re on the 100 level. Of course they do have elevators if you need them. Finally, the sound is pretty decent for a large, cavernous venue — I recently saw Bob Seger and Journey there (not together, sadly — how awesome would that be?!) and the house was definitely rocking.
I do need to make the obligatory complaint about food/​drink prices, though. $ 4.50 for a SMALL bottle of water (like the same bottle you get for 99-​cents at 7-​Eleven) is outrageous. They also serve beer, wine, and a variety of other beverages. Of course the prices are crazy for those, too. Plus what’s with not having cheese sauce for the pretzels? Do Canadians not like cheese sauce? Say it ain’t so!

The last time I was here was for an overpriced hockey game that the team lost. This time I came back for something else. Barry Manilow! Say what? Noooo! You didn’t say that. Yes I did. And the concert was good! Brought the mother unit with me and she loved it. Rogers Arena that is. She loved the concert too of course, that’s a given. Who doesn’t love Mandy, finished off with a bit of Copacabana?
From my mothers perspective she liked the staff at the concessions shock she thought were polite and professional. Next time she wants to get a hamburger and fries. The fact that there were washrooms every 100 feet or so was an added bonus. Especially with those who have sensitive bladders.

I always get excited coming here. Either for a concert or for a Hockey game. I don’t think I have been here for other than those two events. The surrounds sounds is like a blast.
If you are here watching a Canucks game any seats are good seats. Guess you have to just keep your eye on the puck. If you are here for a concert sometimes its best to find out where is the front of the stage and where is the back.
I was at the U2 concert on May 15 and one thing on ticketmaster and on anywebsite seating chart they don’t specify the front and or back of the stage. But overall the concert was fun and great. As well, Its always about the atmosphere. Definitely will be coming back.

What a great place and with awesome people!
This was my first time attending a professional hockey game. But I will review the arena and try not to comment on the game of course. (even though it was awesome)
I was surprised as to how organized this place is and how darn clean it was as well! I am guessing it helps that I was in Canada. It was easy for me to grab hard alcohol at a standard store in the venue without going far from where I was seated.
The seating was extremely friendly and thoughtful of the fans which is unlike many places I have seen where I am from. They even had bars at each level asking to be considerate and not lean forward. This way, everyone behind will be able to see the entire rink. How nice is that?! The stadium seating along with the rules made it possible to never have a bad seat at this place. Apparently everyone says that because as a whole, people are considerate here.

Great atmosphere. Never been to an actual NHL game before, and what can I say I’m hooked. The crowd is electric, the game was awesome. The arena itself is pretty nice. Canucks won 4 – 1 and it was nothing short than awesomeness.
The fans were so friendly, and I could feel the love for the team. What made me in awe was, how everyone sang the national anthem with such passion. It was incredible. Can’t wait to attend another game.

I waited ages to finally watch a game here and when I did it was an awesome experience! The arena was pretty huge, but super easy to access from downtown. We took a cab here and it didn’t take long at all from the four seasons. Unlike the Air Canada Center traffic around the Rogers arena seemed quite manageable.
Inside the arena is nice and pretty modern. Also some of the cleanest rest rooms I have ever seen in a hockey arena! The place is pretty spotless especially compared to places like Rexall center.
The food inside was also a decent surprise with pretty good tasting fast food and pretzels. The beer was also reasonably priced as well, I was expecting closer to $ 16 a can, but it was only around $ 10.
I had an awesome time watching the Canucks against the Sharks and I can’t wait to come back here for more Hockey in the future!

I’ve been to several other NHL arenas across the U.S., and this one was just kind of meh.
You aren’t allowed into the middle section of the main concourse unless you have a club ticket… so you literally can’t take a lap around the main level of the building.
If you sit in the 300’s, prepare to be squeezed in. There are bars in front of every row, for who knows what reason.
As for food, beer and bathrooms — good luck if you’re sitting upstairs.
Main thing boosting this place is the on ice projections, and LED lights in the glass.

Saw the Sens v Canucks. What a great arena. Way better than the Rexall in Edmonton, the rather Sad Dome of Calgary or most other NHL arenas.
I personally liked the fact that they had tons of beer options (they have a Belgian beer section, ffs) from domestic, craft or imported brands. Every person I dealt with had a smile and easy vibe. Plenty of food from gourmet to hot dogs, and concessions with great Canucks gear you might actually want to wear in Public.
Add in the arena design, easy access to the train, fantastic lighting, sound and atmosphere and I genuinely enjoyed seeing a game at the Rogers.
Beating the Sens at 30 seconds left in OT? Don Cherry on the top.
