Today I shopped at this location for juices and kd. Originally scheduled for juice alone, then somehow I bought 4 kds for $ 1.25 each. I had already had a couple of kds I bought at no frills.
Later, I ate a kd from no frills, and it tasted a little weird. It didn’t turn bad, but I smelt some chemicals, which I noticed almost finishing eating. Yak. I checked ‘good for date’, which was 2016 Aug 16, and saw the same date on the other kds I bought at this store. So I went back to the store to return the kds.
The clerk at the service desk first told me she has to check first since I lost receipt, which I think I threw away with napkins. She was checking first, then suddenly she just told me she couldn’t take my return unless without receipt. Or I can only take 66 cents for each kds.
I asked her if there is policy such as, and I asked her to show it to me. Then she told me the store policy is «internal», so nobody else can know. wtf. Is she serious? Maybe she was serious, and I couldn’t believe thing she was saying. So the store, or, she, is trying to rip me off half the price of products in front my eyes?
I was angry, and ripped off the package, and threw them in the garbage bin at the store, along with ripped open cheeses.
Sometimes, I shop at other locations, or at no frills, and things like this never happened to me before…
The Superstore, or the specific management at this location, or it’s just «her», the «internal».
I don’t know what it is to. I noticed today is Feb 22 2016, the 222. The good for date on the package was «2016 Aug 16». The half the price she offered me to take the return was 66 cents. So, is she playing some kind of number game for herself, for her own pleasure, or some thing? Like, here in Canada, you couldn’t go over 50km/​h in the city? O My Fuggin Goat, with the Head!

Lately, I noticed a lot of groceries, and meat products at Loblaw, is turning weird, like pc brands. I hope it’s just me.
Maybe it’s about the time to check out Save on, Wholefoods!!! For the Win!!! HoHoHoHO!

RE: Click and Collect Ordering Service
Overall I really like Superstore — good value and selection. My complaint is about the Click and Collect online ordering service.
1. The website is slow to load.
2. Not all items are available
3. The front end/​back end e-​commerce website page is poorly programmed and designed. The system lost my order.
After 1.5 hrs of ordering, the website lost my order. Refreshing page did not work. It’s faster for me to go in and shop and order. Would be worth the $ 3 – 5 fee if the site worked properly.

It’s Superstore you get exactly what you get. Funny enough they all seem the same on everyone I’ve been too. I see it as a Walmart of grocery stores
But after seeing milk crates all over the aisle. I think Walmart may have one up’d them now.
Much prefer Safeway. Unfortunately there just isn’t any close to me.

There times I’ve been here in the last week and every time the entire butter section is EMPTY.

Okay, so I went to superstore after my doctors check up at the south van medical clinic. Then I bought few things including this donut. And this donut I bought from the bakery department has molds in it. I have no idea how long it is been sitting in there, but the funny thing is I went there at 10am which is only 2hours after they open. Good thing I didn’t even eat yet. I’m so disappointed.

I am a regular here. Pretty much shop here daily. It does get very busy here. And my pet peev is people and their damn buggies, that they just park in the middle of the aisle blocking all traffic. Hope they don’t drive their cars like they do their buggies. Anyways, I digress…
They have alot of products here. Well laid out. Especially if you know the store layout. Lots of parking and a Superstore Gas station in the lot. You can also refill your propane tanks here.
Good Location. Apparently a Drop In Medical Clinic is upstairs to.

Love it! I only wish I had more time to thoroughly explore all of it. What I did get to see I loved. So much variety.

I was at the Marine Superstore location this afternoon involved in an altercation with another customer instigated by the Superstore customer service representative (CSR). I was in line to exchange a product that could have been avoided if the cashier notified me of the sale during initial checkout. My item and store receipt was at another customer service till which I offered to retrieve, however, the CSR decides to help the next person in line. I advised that I should be helped first. The CSR should have retrieved the receipt from her colleague next to her behind the counter. But instead she decided to help the next customer. I asked that customer to get back in line only to be physically shoved from behind by the man.
The CSR behind the counter who processed my exchange needs some common sense and/​or training.
Store staff did absolutely nothing to mitigate the situation. Superstore is known to have terrible customer service and poor quality produce. Although it’s the more affordable grocer, you get what you pay for. Avoid shopping here if you have other options available.

Went to this grocery store for the first and last time yesterday. If you’ve ever wondered what hell might be like, come around 4 pm on a weekend. Parking lot is crazy and I had to walk to four different cart returns before finding a cart. This store is busy and extremely disorganized. When we finally found most of the things we were looking for we went to check out and waited 20 minutes as a cashier, Judy, rang through a Chinese couple who kept asking for a price check on all bran cereal. They held up the line and Judy is also extremely slow (she’s close to 70) but we did our best waiting in line. The lady in front of us (who was next) couldn’t take it anymore and left her groceries on the belt and walked away. I think what really made me boil over was Judy’s poor attitude when we got up to the till. She proceeded to hold up the line by SLOWLY bagging all the items left by the last lady and making snarky comments about how she’s only human. I will never shop at this grocery store again. It isn’t worth saving a few dollars to endure the misery of shopping in this hole.

Upon entering superstore located in the foyer is a hand sanitizer pump with NO Sanitizer! ! Why bother??? Here’s a tip: check the meat carefully cause they manipulate the best before labels. Also check all the best before dates!!! SuperStore is shaddy like mofo on a street corner, they will lie cheat & deceive in order to make a buck. The bathrooms are disgusting as well.

Be sure to watch the screen as your items are scanned — mistakes can be made with sale pricing. Would be 2 stars but I added a star since I got free stuff.
I bought some stuff on sale and when I scanned it at self checkout, I noticed the prices of two items were not what I thought. I bought it anyway and decided I would check the shelf after I paid. I did, and as I thought, it was $ 3.49 and not $ 3.88. I went to the customer service and was greeted by the most unfriendly staff ever. She constantly greeted and chatted with her coworkers while serving me. Basically I told her what happened and she went to ask for a price check. After waiting, she got a call from the staff saying $ 3.49 was what the item should be. So she honoured the price for the first item and gave me the second for free using some promo code in the system. All this and not once did she smile or apologize.
However, I got a $ 4.30 ish refund and a free item so I was happy. The service is not commendable at all though.
Parking is packed and it’s quite busy so staff are busy. Oh well can’t expect an amazing shopping experience. I’m there for the cheaper prices.
Oh, I also forgot to mention that they had some Magnum bar guys in the ice cream section giving out free samples of their mini bars. Yum

It’s a top-​notch Real Canadian supermarket shopping experience. Our nation’s largest food distributor stocks Western Canada with a couple dozen of these warehouses, kept neatly organized and consistent through their locations.
There’s almost always an empty checkout till squirrelled away in the express zone. Don’t bother with the self-​checkout unless you have one or two items, you’ll waste your time swearing at the touch screen and calling over the administrator to bypass the system.
I love so many no-​name store brand grocery items. White cheddar mac n cheese, potato chips, ketchup, nothing very fancy, everything about 50 cents cheaper than national brands. Note: in Riff Raff’s video «Rap Game James Franco» the Salisbury Steak dinner featured in the video is a Canadian no name brand! With the French writing and everything! How did he get so many of them?!?

I will be honest in saying that I don’t frequent Superstore as much as I used to. I remember this place being THE place for great deals. Although most things are somewhat cheaper I am spoiled since I discovered cross border shopping. Hint… human check out is much faster than self check out. This place gets monster busy and for those who hate crowd… it’s a panic attack ready to happen. There is no «good time» to shop since it is always packed.

I certainly don’t expect much other than good prices though I stay away from the produce, meat & poultry.
Great for junk food, milk, cereal, and other desserts.
Do prefer the easy in/​out, with 3 openings, much better than Richmond or grandview locations.
And finally, they did a better job of putting in some dividers for the self-​check, better organized.

I thought I wrote a review for this place already. Guess not. I come here before my doctors appointments. I stroll through the aisles and aisle of merchandise as this one is much bigger, or at least feel more spacious than the one I frequent in Metrotown.
They are doing some construction in the parking lot (⁰⁶⁄₀₆) if I had to give any advice it would be to park towards the pack of the parking lot a! (: walk a bit. It won’t kill you people~!
The reason this one gets 4 stars is because of Tracey. She is the heart and soul of the store. Tracey is a shining light that I am sure could run that store by herself! Take note Management, she is a gem and her presence would certainly be missed and noticed by customers.
Otherwise, I love that you may catch a plane coming in to land and the big flags out front. Is it cheesy to say it gives me a happy Canadian moment???

What happened to your photo department? It’s now only a teeny tiny kiosk. No more 1 hr photo… Only multiday taking about 1 week! That is centuries in today’s fast paced world.
Oh well, I guess you are expanding your kids section and doing other stuff that you feel is more revenue generating. Can you please get more locally source, organic products and expand the «healthy» section too?

I just wanted to pick up one item and go through the self checkout line! And somehow the other line-​ups with ‘humans’ working were going much quicker. I know many other places (ie. Safeway) have this thing, maybe not to perfection, but way better than Superstore. I came here to browse around, and somehow found something to buy, and if it was not such a good deal I would have dropped the item and left this joint.
It is true that a Superstore, is just that, but this one is trouble just coming into the lot. Many high ramps, narrow turns, bad drivers (no, this is not the stores fault, more the people that are coming here), unorganized selection of products, and that yellow tinged lighting! (that is probably going a stretch but still!). Not the best place to come to for your grocery store needs, compared to their other fleet of stores, and the traffic getting out of this place, from where it is located, and the time of day can be another nightmare waiting to happen.

Wow, it looks like they totally redid this place. I’ve been shopping here for over a decade, and I could barely recognize the store. Granted, this transformation to the new «blue and white» theme has been happening to other locations over the years too. Everything looks so much more upscale.
Superstore is MUCH cheaper than Safeway, and generally have 90% of what you need. I’m a huge fan of their bulk section. Reese’s Pieces for teh win.
Another plus is the gas station, where you can get Superbucks, which is basically free grocery money. Superstore is still one of the cheapest places to get Premium gas, if you drive a luxury vehicle.
A recent addition (and by recent I mean 3 years or so) is the self-​checkout. If you know what you’re doing, this is 5 times faster than the regular checkout. Unfortunately, most people seem to have no clue what they’re doing.
One of my favourite pastimes during my younger days is to launch my car up the ramp and catch air on the long downhill. This is on the W end of the parking lot.
It’s really hard to beat this place. Where’d we be without Superstore.
