Service has actually really improved here. They started me 15 minutes late, but they did a pretty good job. Mind you, I know which esthetician to avoid here, too. They no longer play SATC incessantly. Amen to that! They even touched up my toes for free, since I had recently had them done. The massage was a slightly better quality too. I still can’t understand why they won’t invest in massage chairs, however. Sure, the white furniture once looked nice, but can’t you have nice, «white» massage chairs? This stuff is beginning to look as if its had its day, too. Getting nails done on a couch or awkward stool just isn’t that comfortable, especially when most women don’t have size two butts! The only bizarre thing was the girl looked at the clock at 15 past the hour, decided she was done and that was it. No help with the shoes, or socks, no goodbye, nothing. It was almost like she was Cinderella, the clock had struck and she no longer knew who I was. What a strange way to end the service. Other than that, this was the best service that I’ve had here in recent years. Pure Nail Bar has always concentrated on the pretty atmosphere, right down to the Xmas décor. Too bad they just don’t realize how the little touches used on real-life«clients» really do make a difference, too. I guess they figure that beauty really is only skin-deep. So, while fine, overall, I’m not sure if I’ll be in a rush to return, once again.

That Was Then: A cute place, the girls were nice, and their pedicures were pretty decent and well priced enough for me to revisit every 3 – 4 weeks when I lived in the area. This Is Now: A cute place, some of the girls are still nice, but the last two pedicures I got at this location were terrible. On two separate visits the same lady pushed my cuticles back so hard I ended up with bloody toes. The second time I actually complained to what appeared to be the lady in charge, she sneered at me and then had the audacity to blame MYTOES for being at fault. 2* as not everyone here is awful. However, a business that won’t own up to their mistakes is a big no-no in my books and I definitely will not be coming back.

I went into Pure Nail Bar last week and had such a great experience. I was having an off day and decided that a pedicure would make my day a whole lot better. I was able to get into South Granville location straight away. It was so relaxing, quiet and peaceful– exactly what i needed. In addition, it was a great price and now I have some beautiful toes.

I have been to better places for a pedi but this place is good if you’re looking for a quick and no-frills kinda service. The prices are reasonably cheap, the ladies that work there are wonderful and the utensils are sanitary but the massage is quite meager and the experience isn’t «spa-like». You don’t sit in a massage chair and the ladies can only do two clients at a time so three can be a crowd. Make sure you bring your wine and cheese while you wait your turn!

Mani/pedi addicts rejoice! There’s no neon at Pure Nail Bar on trendy South Granville Street. Drop in or make an appointment at this white-on-white shop for a quick snip of the nails and cuticles and a skilled slop of OPI polish. It’ll only cost you about $ 35, and there’s no threat of a mysterious post-pedi foot fungus.

i was kind of impressed with this place… its completely open so it’s great for groups, and you can bring your own food and drink to sip on whilst getting services. Of course, though, it doesn’t make sense to bring food if you’re getting a manicure, but for pedicures its great! We came here in a group of about 10 people for pedicures before a trip to Vegas and we brought nachos and a bottle wine(good combo, eh?). It was fun, the girls that did our pedicures were really friendly and totally joined in our conversations. All around good times!
