I tried the Gluten free pizza here. It’s the same crust used at Boston Pizza but for half the price and way better toppings. But if I had known they use that crust(which I can get at Superstore) I wouldn’t have bothered to go since I can make that at home for way cheaper. My sister had one of the regular pizzas and really enjoyed the flavour and toppings. She liked the fact that it was easy to hold to eat since it had a sort of handle on the bottom. Mine didn’t have enough tomato sauce but it had enough toppings. For me, the tomato sauce should cover the bottom of the pizza, but this was like bread with a light smear of sauce here and there. The serving size of the non gluten free one is pretty small but it’s great for a light meal and the price is decent. The gluten free one is filling enough for a meal. For 2 small pizza’s it was just under 12 $. The girl working the till was really friendly and made us feel relaxed. The other lady didn’t smile but she was very accomodating. The only thing is my sister ordered a meat pizza and wanted the vegan cheese on it since she is allergic to dairy products and instead they gave her a vegan pizza with no meat. English wasn’t her first language so there was a bit of confusion. When we walked in it was completely empty and kind of dark. We weren’t sure if it was open and we were waiting at the till until someone from the back came up. They should maybe have a bell for people to ring. It’s kind of a fun thing to try for a non-gluten free person for something different. I most likely won’t go again for the gluten free one since I could make better at home, but overall it was a positive experience.

I went to Pizza Cono as I was waiting for my Wii to be repaired close by. Intrigued by the concept, my friend and I walked in to check it out. It was very empty at the time and there were organic grocery items on the shelves. As I perused the menu, I asked if I could create my own order as none of the menu combinations really appealed to my picky palate. The girl behind the counter was very accommodating and made my pizza(?) to order. They serve the pizza either in a cone or an umbrella pizza which is a personal pizza with a handle of dough on the bottom to hold it. Pretty ingenious. I went with the cone. The pizza was quite tasty and a great price. Not the best pizza I’ve ever had but certainly not the worst. My friend also enjoyed his pizza cone. There were some really great combo specials advertised for Cono Pizza as well. I liked the novelty of the pizza cone and will go back if I am in that neighbourhood again.

I really enjoyed my random stop here today. Decided to check it out on a whim as I was walking home. Glad I did. The Pizza in a cone was pretty interesting, and everything tasted really fresh. I was able to taste all of the ingredients in the pizza, which was nice. The owner is quite nice and very chatty. For $ 4.99 I got a pizza cone, drink and salad. Worth a try!

I tried out this new pizza place and was very disappointed. I had the veggie pizza cone and it tasted like a mediocre pizza pocket. The pre-made cone shaped pizza shell is bland tasting. The employee just pulled it out of a plastic shopping bag. With each bite you just taste tomato sauce and lukewarm veggies. The last bite of the cone was just filled with tomato sauce, not very appetizing. With so much competition around, I’m surprised they don’t have a better tasting product. The grocery store part of the shop is odd, it’s a random selection of organic products but they have just 1 or 2 items of each. The employee was very friendly but it just seems awkward in there. I will definitely not be returning.

Yesterday after work I decided to go for a walk on Broadway, to clear my mind after a busy day. While walking with my mind in hundred places, something captured my attention: a sign that said, «Organic Food!». Hmm… I discovered that I was actually hungry. I stepped inside and a friendly man can to the door to greet me. Later I learned that he was the owner of the business. I asked him what organic food he has and he introduced me to all the products that he has in his store. The main attraction in the store is, of course, the«Pizza in a Cone.» I found this as being a very fun concept in the pizza world. I ordered a Mediterranean pizza. It looked very good and it was very tasty. It had tuna, tomatoes, cheese, olives, and something else that I don’t remember. The man who made it was very careful in the way he arranged the vegetables on the pizza. I found that quite amusing. :-) Since this is a new restaurant, I wish the owner good luck with his new venture. I am sure that people like me, interested in an organic/healthy lifestyle will soon learn about this place and make it one of their favorite destinations for a nice meal.

Went to Pizza Cono today merely for the fact that we were all intrigued by a cone of pizza. The verdict? This place is pretty bad. They layer in the toppings in a way that you’ll get a mouthful of raw onions in one bite and then a mouth full of mushrooms the next. They claim to be organic, but our pizza cones did not live up to our standards of good organic fare. They also sold us limonata sodas that had expired well over a year ago. A final thing that struck me as odd is that they sold a random selection of groceries in the storefront. This included dog food, paper towels and the other organic non-perishable foods(pasta, cookies, cereal). Don’t think I’ll go back!
