This has been my family’s bakery for a few years now. They do have a location in Chinatown but my family comes to this one often. I love the pineapple buns here and the glazed pork buns. If they have it, they have this minced pork/meat bun which is very good but frequently sold out. The custard tarts here are also delicious. The baked goods here bring back very fond and happy family memories. Pricing as mentioned in previous reviews is very reasonable.

Nice little Chinese bakery that I sometimes frequent when I need lunch, I’m not that hungry, and I don’t want to spend much money. This bakery is definitely the best Chinese bakery in the 2400 block of Hastings. The buns range from 55c-$ 1.50. Very cheap! The ladies that work there are always nice, fast and efficient. They usually help each other out and take in the cash while the other one boxes up your goods. If you’re looking for egg tarts, you probably gotta go early or catch them at the right time. They’re usually sold out by the time I get there around lunch time. If you see them, buy a few!

It does the job: provide decent product at decent prices without the fancy dancy packaging or décor, if that matters. Just looks very cluttered in the back walls, as it seems like a disorganized office, on both sides when you walk in, doesn’t have the cache like Kam Do; heck, even the older New Town in chinatown looked better lol. but a good choice for the local residents. Wouldn’t recommend driving here just for a pineapple or coconut bun haha. But better than the Fraser location. Parking right in front but w/rush hr restrictions.

Cheap, fresh Chinese baked delights. Located in a diverse part of Hastings, this is a great little bakery front with their staff pumping out oodles of fresh goods in the back for their wholesale customers. We grabbed baked pineapple BBQ pork buns, regular baked BBQ pork buns, red bean pastry, and a slice of walnut cake. Total for the 6 items: only $ 5.20. Cheap is right. All tasted fantastic. I’ll be back to try out their other treats for sure.

This is a great Chinese bakery located in the residential neighborhood of Hastings and Nanaimo. They serve up a large cheap variety of delicious and freshly made pastries, everything from coconut buns to those balls of dough with hot dogs baked inside of them and covered in green onions. The best thing to order would be the steamed BBQ pork buns, which should be eaten while they’re still hot. Huge and filling, they cost under $ 2, and are better than the ones you get for dessert at dim sum(they also make those sweet sticky sesame balls with delicious red bean paste in the middle). They do cakes for special occasions and seem to fill a lot of large orders. The store is clean, the service friendly, and the items are perfect for exotic picnic additions.
