This place is exactly what it needs to be! Simple down home Vietnamese fare. I asked for the Phở Ga and that is what I got! Chewy perfect noodles, excellent broth and tender plentiful white meat chicken. The broth was flavorful without being overly salty. I usually have to add fish sauce, not this time, perfect! I also ordered the prawn skewer. Not bad, the shrimp was grilled to perfection, the lemongrass sauce was a little overwhelming but not bad. Service was great. Overall this is my new Phở spot!

I am nothing short of disappointed by my recent Phở Triple 3 experience. Their blatant lack of professionalism is seen not only through our direct dining experience, but also in their response to my Unilocal review(Photo taken down by Unilocal.sorry). This is not how customers should be treated, nor how a negative experience should be handled. When we initially entered the restaurant on a quiet Saturday evening, we were left unacknowledged for several minutes, though there were few other customers present. Eventually a young boy came to seat us at a table. He was clearly overwhelmed, running to and from the kitchen, apologizing profusely to adjacent table for how long their food was taking. He did not return on his own, through we managed to flag him down about 10 minutes later to place our order. We ordered spring rolls as an appetizer, followed by beef vermicelli and the house noodle soup as entrees. It took over 25 minutes to receive any food. The house noodle soup arrived first, the vermicelli came about 10 minutes later, and the spring rolls sometime after that. It would have been nice to receive the entrees at the same time as my partner and I were dining together. The waiter was clearly apologetic, but it was still unfortunate timing. The food itself was largely mediocre. The spring rolls were nice, though to our dismay we did find several hairs wrapped within them. The house noodle soup was traditional and underwhelming, the vermicelli was much better, very fresh and flavourful. When it was time to leave, we again had difficulty tracking down any waitstaff(of which there was only one — they were clearly understaffed). I truly wanted to like phở Triple 3, and wanted to return to see if they would improve with time(as many kitchens do), but their disrespectful response and accusations have forced me to concluded that I will never return, nor recommend, their restaurant.

We came here looking for Avenue World restaurant but realized that it was closed and now it is a Phở noodle shop. The food was good but the waitress needs some serious attitude improvement. It seems to be a family run place and the two kids(they look no more than 15 – 16) are serving tables. You feel sorry for them. I am sure this is all new to them but I hope they hire some professionals in the future.

Sad to see Avenue Grill go, but with the declining service/food toward the end, it was an inevitability. Almost anything would have been better than Avenue Grill. And Phở Triple 3 is better, slightly. This is a family-run restaurant with lots of Asian favourites: won ton soup, teriyaki chicken, phở of course, fried rice, and a lot more. Cheap prices, with nearly all mains under $ 10. No wait on Sunday evening. Service was fine, if a little perfunctory. On this first visit, I got to try: -#1: prawn salad vermicelli rolls with peanut sauce -#3: agedashi tofu(deep fried soft tofu in soy sauce with ginger) -#5: small house special beef soup -#24: sauteed chicken with veggies and sweet and sour pork -#58: fresh coconut water With the exception of the sweet and sour pork, everything tasted good. Coconut water was my favourite, and it even comes with a few pieces of coconut meat. Things that could have been better: –tables and chairs were greasy –none of the BBQ items on the menu were available(hope this changes soon, as they looked really good) –no Vietnamese sandwiches(not a big deal, since Phở Tan’s sandwiches are the best anyway) $ 40 for 2, after tax + tip. Cash and debit only. Overall, a recommend. Will definitely be back to try the BBQ combo dishes!
