Pacific Coach

Couldn’t have been more impressed with Pacific Coach. We launched a youth voting initiative that brought youths to vote during advanced polls at the last federal election. Their fleet showed up to support us on time, everything was clean, and the drivers were friendly and incredibly helpful! Our successful event couldn’t have happened without them. Highly recommend their fleet!

I chose this option to go to Victoria and we really enjoyed our trip. They picked us up and dropped us off timely. Our driver, Gord was awesome! The bus was clean and comfy. Thanks PC! The entire experience was great!

2 stars for employing unpleasant drivers… driver was being rude to an old lady and she called him a smart ass… other then the miserable driver the trip fr Vic to Vancouver was fine… free wifi to post reviews

I needed to find a way to get to Whistler Village from downtown vancouver cuz i dont have a car so i chose this option. Didn’t want to do the whole greyhound thing. For a roundtrip ticket, it cost me around $ 110. The seats are comfy enough, there is free wi-​fi which worked well for me. And there is also a washroom in the back. They pick you up from Downtown vancouver and go straight to Whistler unless there is a pickup in squamish. When i went, it only took 1 hour and 45 minutes. I stayed at a condo away from the village, so they dropped me off at Creekside village and then there was a shuttle that took me to the front door of the condo that i was staying at. If you make your reservation online, you can specify where you are staying at and they will drop you off right at the front door. And they will also pick you up right at the front door as well.

The last time we vacationed in Whistler, we drove our rental car through crazy snow and then parked in the village all week. We didn’t move the car until we drove back to the Vancouver airport at the end of the week. We decided to trade the car rental, $ 30/​day parking, gas, and scary driving conditions for a coach service on this year’s trip. It was $ 60 per person each way, and although $ 240 sounds expensive, parking alone would have been $ 180. Pacific Coach delivered for us. The entire experience was GREAT. They were 100% on time all the way and we got door to door service from the airport to our hotel. There is also free wi-​fi on the bus. Service was professional and these guys work hard. Please tip them! I think if we were traveling with friends or our kids, the economics would not work as well, but for 2 people, I think you would come out ahead choosing Pacific Coach. Very convenient and hassle free!

Awful customer relations by Jane at YVR. Very unprofessinal. Rude, obnoxious and didn’t let all our group on the bus, even though we were first in line. The reason we were first in the line is that they sold our reserved seats on the earlier bus so our connection, while on time, was too late.
My friends (Canadian and international guests, all adults) preferred the term «evil» applied to Jane. Really, it was the kind of customer service that I thought had disappeared. Sadly, it hasn’t, kept alive by Jane.
I wish there was another option.

I’ve heard from other riders that they did not like their experience with Pacific Coach’s transportation from YVR to Whistler Village. They would say the bus took all these detours, and was late, etc.
PC has a little booth just outside the arrival doors to where all the buses are parked. I’ve never had a problem with PC for the last 2 years I’ve been going to the Whistler. They were always on time and the schedule may say a 3 hour ride, but we’d arrive about 40 minutes early each time. I usually spend the ride sleeping, day or night traveling up. There is a bathroom on board, but I’ve never used it. Once we got into town, depending if we stayed closer to the Blackcomb side, there would be a small bus to take us to our apartment condo. They’re so nice, our room required us to check in at Blackcomb lodge, and the driver was so kind to drive us back to the Village and back after we checked in.
Thanks PC you guys are awesome and will always be my number one choice to get to Whistler.

Easy to book. Right on time. Clean bus and a smooth ride. After transitioning to a smaller van in the town of Whistler, the van driver dropped me off right at my condo. Great service. Highly recommend.

fast and efficient way to get up to whistler from downtown vancouver. about $ 50/​pp one way. one our way back though there were just a couple things there felt amiss. we had a scheduled 5 minutes stop at the squamish center on the latest ride home (7:00 pm), which was closed. seems like we could have stopped just steps away at the 7 – 11 which was open and had a bathroom. also our driver was very funny and also a good «tour guide» giving us tidbits of info about the scenery and towns we were pass through, but he had a serious lead foot and drove way too fast around the many, many turns and curves for my taste. i had to ask him politely to slow down a bit as we were getting quite rattled around. he did and all was well after that.

Took this from downtown Vancouver to Victoria. Arrived 30mins before a Sunday morning departure (7:30) and had lots of time to get tickets, snack for the bus, and board. Bus is very comfortable and wasn’t too full. Left on time and made 2 quick stops to pickup people on the way to Tsawwassen where the bus drives onto the BC Ferry. The ferry ride is quite nice as you can grab a simple breakfast and spend some time on the outer deck (if desired). After about 1.5 hours on the ferry, its a quick bus into downtown Victoria. Very easy although it takes some time (just under 4 hours from downtown Vancouver to downtown Victoria).

Took the Pacific Coach bus from and to Vancouver airport/​Whistler. It was very convenient. They have a booth and stop right outside of the arrival terminal. Check in at the booth, they tag your luggages with your hotel name on it — you take them outside and the bus driver would load them in the bus’ cargo area — give them your bus tickets and you can enjoy the 2 — 2.5hr bus ride.
We arrived at night so I didn’t get to see much (I was asleep). The bus was very clean and rather comfortable. The road into our hotel was blocked because of the Olympics but it was a 2– minute walk.
When we were leaving, we called the bus line a day before and moved our reservation to a later time and it was very easy. They sent a shuttle to pick us up right in front of the hotel and transported us to the further bus stop where we catch the big bus to the airport. All the drivers were very nice. On the way back, the driver Eric was funny and told us many history/​jokes — made the bus ride easy :)
Probably the way to go if you don’t want to rent a car. Renting a car to go up to Whistler in winter time can be challenging. Might as well just spend a few bucks and leave the trouble and energy to the bus drivers :)

We used Pacific Coach Lines while we were visiting Canada to take us from Vancouver to Whistler over the New Year’s holiday. The price is around $ 75/​person round trip and there are numerous buses with different pick up times and locations around the city all day.
We were picked up from the Renaissance Hotel in downtown Vancouver which was just a few blocks away from the Loden Hotel where we were staying at. The bus arrived on time and the driver was very friendly and courteous. The bus itself was very clean and it was a quiet and fast (a little less than 2 hours) ride up to Whistler. I really appreciated how the driver paid very close attention to the roads while he was driving– it happened to be snowing on the day of our departure so I was very grateful for the extra care put in.
The ride back was just as efficient and smooth. We were picked up in front of the Westin which was where we stayed during our time in Whistler at the appointed time. We were actually a little worried about making it back to the hotel in time to catch our ride as we were having lunch on the other side of the village but once we got onto the bus and heard the driver communicating with the other buses/​drivers via phone, it was clear that they were very conscientious about having all verified customers on board before leaving. It was very reassuring and comforting to know they wouldn’t leave anyone behind since I can’t imagine this happening back home in the States (If you’ve ever used the Chinatown buses in NYC or Boston, you’ll know what I’m talking about).
The bus has certain drop off points when it comes back into Vancouver and even though it didn’t stop at our specific hotel, it dropped us off close enough so we could easily get there without having to take a cab from across town.
If you’re looking for a ride from Vancouver to Whistler, I couldn’t recommend Pacific Coach Lines more. They are everything you’d want out of a service like this– fast, efficient, courteous, and very safe. And if you do use the business, please don’t forget to tip the driver. The effort they make in making sure you get where you need to be on time and in one piece is worthy of an extra thank you.
