Solid 3.5 stars, nice to support the Gastown businesses and I was going to say local artists haha but it is mostly European and American independents, a few from LA. Their jewellery are local, and cool that you can just lift the glass case and help yourself. Friendly service too. Getting new stuff in a week before Valentine’s ;) nice they have doors on either Cordova and Water St.

This store serves it purpose and although I am a colorful gal by nature, they do specialize in monochromatic color schemed clothing in various styles that allows you to blend in, almost disappear in a crowd while still being dressy casual, an introverts clothing paradise. Very good customer service and the prices for some pieces, although pricey, were of quality which is fair superior than you will get at the mall. The clothes are timeless so that you can wear it more than one season as long as you figure remains the same yearly. I am in love with their jewelry. There is something for everyone in this department and can class up an edgy person and is palatable enough that you can work with other add ons.

Collared shirts and shrunken cardigans. Extra long skirts and dresses. Silk tops and high-waisted pants. Structured heels or a classic slingback. One of the few(I didn’t mean it, I swears) places in Vancouver where I can touch and try on a Rachel Comey rather than do the whole online ordering thing, One Of A Few is pretty damn close to the kind of shop I’d open if I were crazy enough to. With a collection of unique and thoughtfully curated clothing, shoes and accessories not easily found in Vancouver, this pretty little boutique never fails to inspire me to live a more enchanted life. So beautiful, so easy, so classy — this is a must stop for the most discerning shopper.

Beautiful clothes in a lovely, simple, yet character space right on the edge of Gastown. The ladies who work there are usually very friendly, without being pushy. I really appreciate that they are honest as well, they sort of stand in as one of your girlfriends if you’re on a solo shopping mission, which to me is super helpful. Always worth visiting when the sales hit, because when they do, the sales are amazing! Check out this one brand they carry called Lover, an Australian swim suit company that makes stunning dresses, one of which I recently splurged on and that I… Love! hehe One of a Few carries jewelry, bags, women’s clothing, and even has a small room upstairs of vintage pieces. The clothing here is chosen with care and consideration. When you shop here, you get the sense that the owner must truly take pride in the boutique. I wish I could afford to add more items to my wardrobe from One of a Few, but that doesn’t stop me from looking around and admiring.

Friendly customer service, nice threads, good sales, decent prices. Overall a really nice place to shop. I just wanted to clarify that the entire store is not wheelchair accessible. There is a significant step in the middle that would require exiting the store, and going around a corner to get to the other side. Also, there is a selection of vintage clothing that is up a set of stairs.

There are few boutiques that have made me wish I could import them to my country of origin… but One of A Few is certainly one of them! From the moment I walked in the door with my aunt, Sarah was all ears and super helpful! She also pointed out some Canadian designers in the store, which was really crucial for me since I like to shop local when I travel. I must say that I was mesmerized by the thoughtfully well edited selections in store and pleased to find Ashley Watson merchandise as well as a pair of tie-dye tights that didn’t break the bank! If you’re ever in Vancouver, head over to Gas Town & check out One of A Few! You will NOT be disappointed!

One of a Few is the epitome of a fashion boutique: It’s exclusive, offers customized and personalized service, lines that are representative of a style /look(skinny jeans, vintage looking shoes, purses and wallets & flowy shirts and dresses), a creative space and décor and of course, cute salesgirls that give you a glimpse of hope that if you buy the clothing you might just look a little like them:)

Before departing Vancouver for the islands, my brother’s wife wanted to do a little shopping, and I felt the need to stretch my legs. We ended up inside One of a Few. I really wish that more stores in the world were like this place, with lots of different interesting local fashions to look at.(Although I would have liked a bit more menswear to look at.) She ended up purchasing a lovely light colored woolen poncho — which satisfied her purchasing needs. If you’re in the area, this is a worthwhile place to stop and browse.

One of a Few came before Two of a Few. This is fashion retail wonderkind Michelle Rizzardo’s firstborn. The styles are airy, flirty and unique. Everything carries subtle charm in all the little quirks that differentiate these designs from the cookie cutter styles that haunt Vancouver’s Robson Street. Much of the stock carried in this little space is exclusive to One of a Few. Little pictures hang on the walls, each one framed differently. A desk sits in the middle of the shop… no additional wooden bar sectioning off from patrons. The store looks out onto both Water Street and Cordova. The atmosphere is warm and friendly. It feels more like you’ve wandered into your friend’s older sister’s closet for a quick gossip session than a standard store.

Gastown is home to One of a Few — a tiny little boutique store that carries a slim selection of extremely carefully chosen pieces, including undies, perfect tees, pretty skirts and dresses, and denim. I found the sales staff friendly and knowledgeable.

This store is a standout amongst all the cool shops in Gastown. They sell a really nice collection of women’s wear along with some men’s clothing. Each item is carefully chosen, and much of what they carry is from local designers, including my personal favourite Imaginary Friend Apparel. They have a small selection of jewelry and if you’re a fan of hanky pankies, they’ve got them, yay!
