History

Established in 1987.

OK Tire Vancouver has been family owned «From Father to Son» since 1987. Russ ran the shop until 2006, when he retired and passed it on to his son Sterling. The shop continues to have the «family» feel”, something that is hard to find these days.

Welcome to my store. After graduating from UBC with a Commerce degree, my love of cars drove me into business with my Father at this location. Twenty years later I am still going stong. I am a Licienced Mechanic, Aircare Technician and Government Inspector. Racing cars and golfing, are my passion, when I can find the time in between my childrens’ activities.

They post the prices at the desk and then charge what they want. Big attitude, smug even, I think they like to watch you wait for the service to be done. This tire shop rides on the name, not the service they give. And yes I did get ripped off in the price.

I’ve been coming here for a few years and they’ve never steered me wrong (see what i did there? ;P). I continue to receive great service from Scott and his team. Always willing to offer smart and honest advice and their service is prompt. They don’t bs me, which is awesome.

My wife took her Honda fit here to have winter tires installed per my recommendation (based on decent service years back). When she came in, she was charged $ 50 more than quoted over the phone for an extra ‘tire rotation’ to put the wheels back on the car, and a mysterious shop supply fee of $ 12.50. When she inquired about the shop supplies she was blown off and told it is ‘industry standard’ with no explanation of what that was for. On top of that, they left her vehicle sitting unlocked not in their lot but on Kingsway until she picked it up — fortunately nothing stolen or damaged. The only saving grace is that when I called to complain the guy on the line at least listened to my complaint, but only offered «fair enough», with no apology or anything otherwise. $ 170 for a simple 4 tire tire install on a honda fit with your vehicle left unlocked on the street and demeaning service. STAY AWAY.

Overpriced, slow and rude. I had to go to 2 different tire places because OK tire couldn’t deliver and was amazed at how bad their service is in comparison. And their quote was almost double!

Doesn’t seem they want business, went next door to Midas, all the mechanics were working on cars, but still told me to drive in so they can work on my car. Simple tire air leak. I could have checked it myself, but I was on my way to work. Trying to save time. Thanks Midas.

Terrible. $ 40 to put a spare tire back??? Come on??? I would have done it myself but wanted spare to be replaced by new tire. They couldn’t pull together that tire so they decided to get some money outta me this way. Bunch of crooks!!! I’ll stick to the long lines and reliable service at kal-​tire.

If this place is awesome, then id hate to see bad! I went in to this place to inquire about rims and tires for my car, keep in mind these tires and rim are around 3K to buy so I would assume this would be worth their time, I guess not! The dude at the front counter could have cared less if I was even in the store! He ignored me, answered and had conversation with the person on the phone without asking the person to hold and dealing with a customer right in front of him? I ended up buying rims, tires and a second set of winter tires from 1010 tires! Save your time, avoid this joke!

Five stars for being the only place open on Christmas eve, who were able to give me a new wheel rim to replace the one that one of Vancouver’s potholes had managed to create. Quick and great service– thanks!
