I love their Peri Peri chicken. Its in the fast food category but not really. It was so good, one time I basically had Nando almost every day for a week. That is how good it is. I always get the lemon and herb with a kick. For the best deal get a whole chicken and split it but again it really depends if your friends are willing to split it with you. For side, my favorite is mash potatoe, corn and coleslaw. I am not a coleslaw fan and they make super good coleslaw. Very fresh. But I am guessing those are the best seller. I one time got the Ceasar Salad side and I would say its a hit and miss. The green wasn’t that green. Love their chicken. Definitely will always come back. Joke of the day, the Davie Nando location is on dine out Vancouver menu. And yes you could make a reservation. LOL

I went to this Nando’s location to pick up some food the other day, but after seeing the lack of hygiene of one of the workers I left without buying anything. One of the cooks was having his lunch break and eating some chicken with his bare hands. It started to get busy so the other cook called him back to the kitchen. I watched as he went into the kitchen and took a piece of paper towel and wiped his face with it. He then started handling the food without washing his hands. All I have to say is if you are interested in catching Hepatitis than this is the place for you.

For fast food, Nando’s can’t be beat. I’ve eaten at this location over 5 times and the food is always consistent Nando’s. Not fine dining but give me Nando’s over any other fast food joint any day. Yum. I’ve always been there in a weekend, and service has been friendly, efficient and always get our order correct.

Based on the food alone, this review would be much higher; I had the chicken peri peri sandwich and cannot complain at all about its taste. Looking ahead to lunch, I called to order takeout. I was immediately put on hold and I could hear the dull roar of a full restaurant in the back so I was tolerant. After 3 minutes of complete phone silence, I assumed that I had been forgotten and called back. I got the same guy who put me on hold again for another minute. When I got through a woman took my order asking specifics about the sandwich. Making no mention that the items I was adding were an additional charge, she told me that the order would be ready in 15 minutes. I walked over and entered the restaurant. There was no signage indicating where to wait or pick up food. To my surprise the restaurant had only one table seated — can’t understand why I was put on hold for so long when I called in. I stood at the front door without spotting a single staff member for the better part of 2 minutes. I made my way up to the counter at the back and there learned that my meal had been sitting waiting for me. I paid, 4 dollars more than I imagined(slice of cheese and pineapple?) and left. I will go back for the taste of the sandwich but I would never dine-in and I certainly won’t get convinced to take on the additional toppings when I call.

I usually have a okay time here, but when I came back after a while, everything was much below average. First of all, they’ve completely changed the Nandos that I went to. I don’t really like the system were you order first and then you get served, so when I stood in line, there were 4 people ahead of me that had absolutely NO idea what to order and just stood giggling there for a period of 5 minutes or so and then ordered. The prices were higher, and they have this new«improved» system where you now get the plates, table wear and napkins on your own. I ordered the family pack of chicken, a large Caesar salad and a side of curry fries. I’ve always been a fan of their fries here, and this time it was no different then usual, good quality, but the chicken was dry and the skin was fatty and rubbery and the salad was flooded with a sea of heavy dressing, and made it disgusting to attempt to eat. Probably not going to come back here again.

Where do I start? Well first I wish Unilocal would allow 0 stars because that’s what this Nandos location deserves. Very dry chicken guaranteed 9⁄10 visits. I once asked the gentlemen who took my order if he can make sure my chicken is fresh and juicy and not dry. He smiled and said«the chicken is always fresh». This place is a joke, destroying the Nandos brand. It’s no wonder they have so many seats yet it’s always empty when I visit.

Seriously horrible. The chicken here is always so dry! My hubs and I came in today and it will be the last. This restaurant is so unprofessional. The owner himself had the kitchen door wide open, loudly joking around with staff. Everything is a joke about this place apparently; especially the food. Anytime we’ve ever gone to the richmond nando’s it’s always been so fresh and the owner is on top on things. Can’t believe this place is even still in business. Steer clear, I would love to see a Barcelo’s chicken in the area!

Nope. Waited 20 minutes for a limp salad and a dried out piece of chicken. Nope. Nope. Nope. One star for nice employees and clean interior.

Ordered a mushroom sandwich with cheese, and waited over an hour for the food. When I asked about the food at the counter, one of the waitresses rudely replied that they couldn’t work faster, and that the«food will come out, when the food will come out.» The food was also horrible with close to no flavour with the sandwich buns being DRENCHED in hot sauce. Disgusting.

Have been to this location many times. I always get the chicken breast sandwich(medium) with peri fries or peri rice. The food is always excellent. This location has messed up my order a few times, but it was a long time ago and stuff happens. Although it could still be considered fast food, you can taste the freshness in the ingredients they serve. They use good quality ingredients and there is a BIG difference. I wouldn’t call it cheap, but the prices are reasonable. We usually end up spending about $ 10 per person. Service is good, orders usually come out within 15 – 20 minutes tops. They seem to always have friendly employees. Metered parking out front, but plenty of free street parking around the corner.

We have had one of the worst customer relations fiasco that we’ve ever experienced at a restaurant. Ordered dinner on Monday night for myself and GF. She’s a veggies so ordered the portable mushroom burger with halloumi cheese. We had our order packed to go, went home and prepped everything for dinner. She sat down at the table and took a big bite of her burger and right away you could tell something was wrong! They put a chicken breast on her sandwich(also didn’t put ANY halloumi cheese on it). We scrambled and managed to make her a dinner based on the side dishes and some left over out of the fridge. Went back to Nando’s the very next day. Both girls who served us were there and they even remembered what I ordered to go with the Mushroom burger. I was informed that they’d replace the meal for my GF but needed to check with the manager first. after a quick call the manager refused to replace the meal. Said we might be lying!!! They just feed meat to a vegetarian of over 30 years. The girl at the counter was very apologetic and embarrassed. I was given a phone number for the manager but after trying the number numerous times the«customer was not available at this time», grrrr. So I called Nando’s back left my number for the manager and still no response. Classless and rude.

I had eaten at several Nandos in England, but I decided to take my husband to one on our honeymoon so he could try the delicious chicken. Needless to say, he was very impressed. This particular Nandos was out of rolls the day we went but they had Portugese bread, which turned out to be quite good. We got the whole chicken with the mild flavoring and split it between the two of us. We tried the lemon garlic flavor but the particular batch we tried was very lemony, so we were happy with our choice of mild. All in all, very good.

One of the better ones, with more booth seating than any other Nando franchise that I could think of. For what you get, I consider this expensive considering that you can get a whole chicken for what you pay for a quarter leg lol. Sure, the price of having someone cook for you, i do get it. Actually the fries here are pretty good, & their spiciest peri sauce does have some kick to it. It’s pretty casual to eat & work here, staff’s pretty friendly and fast as it’s rarely busy in Kerrisdale haha. Lots of street meter parking.

Nando’s has great grilled chicken and a good variety of sauces to make your mouth and nose water. Yummy!!!

Nando’s chicken is definitely flame grilled. You can see it and you can taste it !!! Yummm. I love the hint of spiceness and the chicken pieces were a pretty decent size. There are lots of side orders that you can get too, from garlic bread, to salads. Unfortunately, I wasn’t too fond of the garli peri-peri sauce or the hot peri-peri sauce.

As far as flame grilled chicken goes, my favorite is Nando’s. I’ve been to many Nando’s and this one is one of my favorites. Since it is close to my workplace, I am a regular here. The restaurant is always clean and for some reason it is never too busy during lunch time. The service has been great — although sometimes it does take them unusually long to have my order ready. The best deal in town is on Mon, Wed and Thurs when they have the double leg lunch special for only $ 6.99. That is a great deal.

The hubby and I ate here because it was the only thing open at the time while we were travelling through Kerrisdale. I have to say that it was pretty expensive for a place that felt like a fast food restaurant. The food was definitely better than fast food, however. There just wasn’t anything spectacular about it that makes me want to really come back. Maybe it was the squealing kids throwing food around the place that completely sucked the joy out of it. I’ll make sure to write a follow up review next time we return.

We bought a groupon a while back and finally decided to use it. I’m typically not a huge fan of franchise type restaurants but I have to say I was very pleasantly surprised. We received a friendly greeting from the young lady taking our order and did not have much difficulty figuring out what to order since the menu just involves chicken in various forms. We opted for the medium spiciness which was perfect for us — a little zip without the lip burn. We also opted for the side spring greens for an extra $.75 instead of the fries, or potato or rice. My chicken breast was large and moist and the salad fresh and plentiful. My husband had the double leg plate with one of the legs as moist and juicy as my chicken but his other leg being a little tougher. I’m not sure if Nandos will become part of our regular dining out repetoire but if we are in the mood for some spicy grilled chicken I would not hesitate to return.

I was going to have an BBQ party but with over 20 people coming I know it would be to much work. So instead I got Nando’s to Caterer it for me. It only came up to $ 10 a person and the food was astounding. Aside form their great chicken I got the assorted peri veggies, corn on the cob, veggie burgers, baked potato and the Mediterranean salad. Best of all they delivered it to my house
