Seem like nice people, and very hard working. BUT: when I brought in a blouse to be tailored I had assumed because they call themselves tailors, they would have the knowledge about what should and should not be altered. I had worn the blouse prior to wearing it and there was no problem at all, other than the arm holes were too large in my opinion. This blouse was clearly an item they should have had the skill to evaluate correctly and tell me not to have it altered. I don’t sew so I had to rely on them — After I got the tailored item home and wore it, it no longer fit properly. I went back to the tailors in person, tried it on again, and they both blamed the original pattern of the blouse. A few days later I called the lady tailor asking if she could speak to me a few minutes — she said yes. However as soon as I introduced the topic she cut me off saying she had to hurry and use the machine. I called back l0 minutes later and her husband picked up the phone at the same time she did, telling me the same story. Clearly they do not take any responsibility for their mistakes. Not only have I lost the 24.99 plus taxes on a new summer top, I have lost the l5 dollars tailoring fee. Lesson here is: never ever trust your clothing to a small self owned tailoring business — this is what can happen to you. I don’t appreciate people doing business like this — it may be acceptable practice in their country, not here — I feel I have no other choice but to report this to the Better Business Bureau now. I did give them two chances and they blew me off both times. Not good business sense — every good business owner knows that when you offend or rip off a customer you never lose just one customer — you lose between 60 and 200 customers, because business is word of mouth.

Really wonderful shop, with super nice owners who do a very good job of dry cleaning and pressing. They get the fifth star because I had a hard time finding a dry cleaner who would clean the gown from my brother’s wedding — it had these blingy embellishments that a lot of places wanted me to sign some kind of release that if it got damaged, that was my problem. Some places flat out refused to take it for cleaning, at all. Mike’s never even brought it up. Not only that, but the top had these very difficult sort of ruched pleats on the entire bodice, and it was made out of a medium weight raw silk. I freely admit this is deeply painful to deal with. However, when I went to pick it up, the ruching had not been pressed properly, and I asked if anything could be done. The owner hand pressed it in front of me, asking if it was how I liked, and totally put up with me asking him to fuss with a few detailed and difficult spots. It was amazing, It looked like when it came from the store where I bought the gown. Not a drip or spot on the silk, crisp edges and correct placement to every single ruched fold on the entire bodice. That is exceptional customer service and I cannot recommend them enough for that reason. FYI — They are back in the corner in the plaza on the corner of Broadway and Oak, so they’re a little hard to find at first, but you should absolutely try them. They are great.

Great little shop for your cleaning and tailor needs. I live nearby so I come here all the time to get my shirts and suits laundered and dry cleaned. They’re always friendly and accommodating if I need something rushed. On occasion I’ve needed things mended or tailored and they’re very helpful in suggesting how best to do it. On top of that they’re not expensive and they are open hours that actually allow me to pick things up after work. Highly recommended.
