Got a groupon here and decided to go with my friends. One thing I found is that choices are super limited but for the price you pay, I guess that is what you get. The mango lassi is pretty good. Well it came withy the groupon. I basically are only butter chicken. I didn’t really like their butter chicken. It tasted like the chicken was added in afterward and wasn’t cook with the sauce. Well the dinner worked out to be $ 7 per person so really can’t complain too much

One great thing about Indian buffets is that one always gets pretty much one expects, and leaves satisfied. Parking is available on the side streets in the evenings. The inside of the restaurant is bare and a little beaten up, but the bright orange walls really do cheer up the place. As others have mentioned, there aren’t too many seats(25 or so). The place wasn’t full at all though, so this shouldn’t be a problem. Staff were friendly. It looks like a mom and pop(and their daughter) type of operation. The buffet consists of some 15 items. There’s panner, 2 kinds of rice, tandoori chicken, butter chicken, and curry lamb. There’s also salad, some chutneys, and a salad for the weak. Nothing special, but all of the items were quite decent. The tandoori chicken was a bit dry(possibly from sitting under the heat lamps for too long), but good enough for me. I also tried the chai tea and mango lassi. The chai had the usual kick but could’ve been a bit stronger. The lassi is basically a smoothie. Both of disappeared in no time. The bang for the buck is definitely there. Not sure how often I’d be returning, but I have no problems come back.

Got delivery! It was alright. The Samosas were okay. Buttered Lamb was really good. The service is so amazing though. Incredibly nice.

This place has excellent take-out and the service staff are friendly — like family. I would not recommend the buffet — it seems like it sits out for a while.

My friend suggested we go here for Lunch. The Buffet was OK. Service was Friendly. The Curry’s were quite good. The only issue here is the place is Run Down and dirty looking. They need to spruce this up a bit. But for the money, not too bad Value.

I wish I could give less stars. Delivery was slow and they didn’t bring everything that was ordered. Called them back multiple times, no answer. Got a call back this afternoon and they told me THEY’D LOOKINTOIT, instead of just bringing me what was ordered, or refunding me. Will never order or step foot inside again.

I have to say this is probably the best east indian restaurant that I have been to in the lower mainland. Not only is the food yummy and flavorful, they have naan bread! And they have roti and paratha too! How cool is that? I love my east indian starches. You can order reg naan, garlic naan, and paratha bread basket for under 5 buckaroos! What a deal. Their lunch and dinner buffet is a steal at $ 9 and $ 11 respectively. They serve various vegetarian and meat dishes. I recommend all their dishes especially the tandoori and butter chicken. Very friendly staff and cozy little dining room. As a bonus, the owner always gives us cumin studded poppadoms with a hella hot green chutney to start with.; ^) ’ ’

Went to Mezbaan last night for a 5:30 reservation, wow what a disappointment!! got there at 5:30 pm and they were still setting up the buffet they said it would be about 10mins. we waited 30 mins and there was still a few dishes not ready but they said we could help ourselves. they were more interested in there takeout orders then the 2 tables they had in the restaurant. when we finally got her attention to get our bill she had not even cleared out plates. She dropped the bill and still did not clear our plates. the one other couple that was in the restaurant at the time said it was a big disappointment to them to. the butter chicken was okay but not great that’s usually my fav. we used a scoialshopper coupon which cost me $ 20 for the 2 of us I would not pay any more then that for what we got…

Came early for lunch buffet and owner was friendly and let us sit at a table while we waited for him to open. Table corners were broken. Food was okay, but not great. Very runny curries and nothing with cream. Not as much distinction between flavours as I’d like. $ 23 for two. Wouldn’t go again until they resolve this:

Best Indian food I’ve ever had. The samosas are like another world. I never thought my favorite Indian place would be in Canada, but we got a groupon for this place & my wife and I loved it so much we came back that week and ordered the exact same thing!

The dinner buffets are a really good value and the food is decent! Their standout dish for me are their samosas. They’re a lot smaller than most samosas I’ve had, and I actually prefer them to be bite sized. Usually the larger samosas I’ve generally had at other places either fall apart because there’s too much stuffing it in or the batter is too thick and unappetizing to eat after a while.

Very unhappy. ordered via Lazymeal over 2HOURSAGO and still hasn’t arrived they are blaming it on the weather(it’s raining). They weren’t helpful on the phone and now I am late for my evening plans. AVOID.

Fantastic food and great service. We will definitely be back. The butter chicken was perfectly seasoned and cooked, chaana masala was the best i’ve ever tasted and fluffy yet crispy naan.

My wife and I went twice in 4 days because we loved it so much! The samosas are the absolute best I’ve ever had. I had the vegetable jalfrezi and she had the chicken korma, both were delicious and filling. The staff are incredibly kind and welcoming and remembered us on our second visit which was a great change of pace from many restaurants I’ve been to!

I went here last night with a voucher I bought from Social Shopper. Soooo disappointed. I usually read the reviews but for some reason this one got by me. Why people like this place? I have no idea. Did they not visit the filthy washroom? If they had, like I did before my meal, they would certainly be turned off. It was so dirty, I could not believe my eyes. Stains and filth on every surface(walls, sink, floor). And what made me laugh was that there was a sticker on the mirror saying that the place had been sanitized for my enjoyment or something along those lines. Please… when? in 1998? I swear it has not been cleaned in many years. Believe me. So why did I stay? I don’t know really. I guess I felt that since I paid already with my voucher and drove so far, I might as well. The food was ok tasting but really, after seeing the washroom I wondered about the kitchen. Checked the health board website today and there have been rat droppings and other problems there. So disturbed by this… it’s really unbelievable they are still in business. Another thing was the service. The depressed looking server, when we finally got her attention, did not bother to tell me that mango lassi and chai tea came with the voucher. Oh well. I discovered that today when I looked into more detail to write Social Shopper about my experience. Final bonus was when the bill came and they charged automatically gratuity and then taxed the gratuity! Sweet! Guess they are used to people stiffing them for poor service and food. No doubt this was one of the worst restaurants I have ever been to. Stay away.

PEOPLE read the Vancouver costal health authority website about this restaurant before going here. Rat droppings, unsanitary cook tops and cutting boards… why do people pay money for this crap. Trust the recent reviews from fellow Unilocalers… ignore the old ones because they have changed owners… this place sucks… its like eating at an unlicensed street vendor in mexico. dirty windows, stinky drink fridge. if I can give a zero star, I would… here is why… I bought a social shopper voucher for the buffet for two people. the social shopper description was very enticing naan bread, tandoori chicken samosa, butter chicken… made fresh, blah blah. when I got there at dinner buffet hour, I expect the trays to be fully stocked. but nope. one piece of tandoori chicken left, one piece of veggie samosa left. when I asked if they are going to bring more out they said no. Those items were later replaced with spaghetti??? and naan bread? Naan bread was suppose to be brought out to you, but instead they replaced the samosa tray with naan bread instead. I asked how come I saw tandoori chicken and samosa there and now it’s gone?! it was leftover from lunch… my one piece of naan bread had curry pre dipped. how did that happen? did a piece of naan bread dropped into some curry it the kitchen? did a customer had leftover naan bread they didn’t eat and was recycled? I dunno… items available today, watery butter chicken, salty beef cubes and potato in curry, egg plant curry, veggi curry, fried bone in mystery chicken, fried potatoes with dark spots in the middle, spaghetti, white rice, yellow burnt smelling rice, two types of fruits, dried up cucumber and onions, and watered down butter scotch pudding. where was the seafood curry? lamb curry?. tandoori chicken?.. you described on your website?.. do they only come out of special days? if so when… restaurant was so small. 6 –7 tables total and every seat touches one another, it was like a maze trying to get out of there navigating through seats. walls were dirty and I mean with dirt custards hanging from the windows. the lady was cleaning the sneeze guard on the buffet trays. with Lysol… while food was still in the trays. and I can see specks of Lysol being sprayed right on the butter chicken and beef. gross… only thing that was descent was the mango lassi. which was basically yogurt, mango powder and a bit of milk… the yogurt they used was old so you can see specks of solidified yogurt in my drink. another patron, was asking about the samosas and when they will come out, the lady said no more… and she begged for like 5 mins sitting there with an empty plate and I guess she knew the deliver guy there or something and he gave her one… that’s not fair! where is everyone else’s samosas? Return your vouchers ASAP. my next call is to the Vancouver health authorities… no hard feelings but come on??? really???

Monday night, a friend and I went to Mezbaan for dinner. I decided to try this place because another friend had recommended it, and we were in the area. Also, my blood sugar was dropping, and when my blood sugar drops, I don’t make the wisest decisions on what and where to eat; my goal is to get food into my mouth ASAP. It was about 8pm when we arrived, and the place was empty. Bad sign #1.(It did get busier while we were there, though.) But I decided to stay because of the recommendation, and the whole blood sugar thing.(I should have just gone to IHOP instead.) Glasses of water were promptly poured for us as we were seated, but the water was room temperature. Bad sign #2. I asked the server what kind of wine they have, and she simply answered«Red and white wine» and could not elaborate. Bad sign #3. They didn’t have a wine menu, but the server brought out a bottle of their red wine to show me, and it was a Merlot. Great, I like Merlot! And a glass was only $ 5! Yay! However, the wine was thin and watery. Bad sign #4. The buffet selection wasn’t very impressive, and I’m sure this won’t come as a surprise to anyone, but the food was crap. A couple of months ago I was at Oakridge Center and had a cheap, fast food curry from the food court. That curry was better than the food at Mezbaan. While the staff were friendly and the interior of the restaurant was clean and attractive, the food was just terrible. I definitely won’t be returning.

They were offering 20% off if you spent $ 50 on delivery through Just Eat, so naturally I took advantage of the offer and ordered myself way too much food :). The menu was quite extensive and I appreciated the variety of seafood, lamb, chicken, and vegetarian dishes that they had to choose from. Ended up ordering the lamb korma, chicken biryani, chili paneer, veggie samosas, naan, raita, and popadoms and everything was awesome. Spicy and flavourful. 1 main would have been more than enough to fill me up and have some leftovers for lunch the next day, so they were definitely not skimping on the portions. My favourite dish was the lamb korma, but it was a close race. Leftovers tasted even better the second day! So why only 3 stars? It would have been a solid 4 star experience but I was quoted a delivery time of 1 hour… waited… waited… waited. 1 hour and 40 minutes later it finally arrived. So –1 star for the wait — the delivery guy was very nice and thoroughly apologized, but the restaurant should have at least called in advance to let us know they were backed up. Despite the wait, the food was stellar(as far as delivery goes) so I will definitely be ordering again(and will up my star rating if the wait time improves).
