Metz Design specializes in modern contemporary wood furniture. Every piece is custom designed for you. Before building any furniture we offer to view the location were the piece will reside.

In the process of design, the challenge is to promote individuality and personality, two desirable characteristics admired in a furniture piece. Creating these characteristics is a weighted choice of positive and negative space, finishes and substrates, contrasting colors and textures, the use of exotic and domestic hardwoods, metal, glass, plywood’s and other materials that are defined by their detail.

I received my Diploma in the Furniture Design Program from Sheridan College in Oakville Ontario.

History

Established in 1997.

In 1995 I graduated from Sheridan College, Furniture Design, set up in Vancouver in 1997. Serving both interior designers and residential clients. Since the start I have specialized in modern contemporary wood furniture. In 2001 I moved my shop to east Vancouver where I have been operating ever since.

Business Owner

My name is Greg Metz my company is Metz Design. I specialize in custom designed and crafted furniture that is modern contemporary. My inspiration is acquired from Danish, Bauhaus and Art Deco styles. Hardwood is the primary material my designs are created, not overlooking metal, glass, fabrics, paper, plywood’s and composite materials all of which are defined by their details.

I received my Diploma in the Furniture Design Program from Sheridan College School of Arts in Oakville Ontario. Since graduating I have been actively designing and crafting furniture and furnishings for clientele.
