Meet the Business Owner

Scott T.

Business Owner

Scott has been fortunate to live in Western Canada, surrounded by great family and friends. Starting from his childhood and youth living on an 82-acre farm on Vancouver Island, he has always had a strong connection to nature. After moving away from the farm to Alberta he continued to work outdoors, this time in energy production. Following an enjoyable few years, Scott chose to return to university to bring clarity to his personal understanding and his connection with nature.

Outside of living on the farm, Scott has over 7 years in landscaping experience, including working at golf courses, for landscaping companies, for small town parks departments, and at plant nurseries. Scott’s additional education includes a St. John’s First-Aid (OFA Level 1 Equivalent) Certification, a Drafting Certificate, and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of British Columbia. In 2013 Metro Gnome will be supporting Scott’s pursuit of an Organic Master Gardener Certificate.
