This joint hit the spot for a late-night, just right, delicious slice of pepperoni pizza. $ 2.50 a slice. The woman at the counter was patient as I wrestled with my change and Canadian currency. Money… has it come to this already in the 21st century? I digress, but the slice was so nice. Thank you.

Not very happy with this piticular location. On average I like the company generally. This location has cold old pizzas every time I have visited it. And it’s not kept very clean. I have very little to say that is positive with this location.

Well, my first BAD review! I would give this place no stars if I could. I ordered a pizza and poutine for delivery. I added extra toppings on the pizza. Our pizza and poutine arrived, I paid(and tipped generously). It wasn’t until I got inside that I looked at the bill and realized they had charged me twice the amount the flyer had said for extra toppings. Oh well. Time to eat! I opened the pizza box and half of the pizza had no cheese! I had never seen anything like it. Oh well. I am not a fussy person so I wasn’t going to worry. We were ready to move on to the poutine. When I opened the poutine it looked like jello. It was as if it just came out of the fridge. This was the last straw. I called straight away and spoke to a girl. I explained the situation(the extra charge, then the pizza and poutine). She called to the manager saying«uhhhh this person is upset because they wanted more cheese…» Like she did not understand that half of this pizza seriously had no cheese. Then the manager got on the phone. He was so extremely rude to me, the entire time he was shouting. I explained the situation again. I was very polite. All I wanted was to return this food. He went on to tell me that if I wanted cheese I had to ask for it and that since it was a flyer pizza«you get what you get». He also said that nothing like that would leave the kitchen, contradicting himself after just saying that’s what the food is supposed to look like. I jokingly asked if he wanted me to send him a picture because I was not lying and he shouted his phone number to me and said goodbye. I was shocked. I didn’t think it was actually necessary for me to send a picture. I actually used to order Megabite from this exact location all the time. One time they didn’t send any dips that I paid for and they offered to send the delivery man back to my house to bring me the dips! Why was this situation(which is much worse than no dips) not as concerning? We drove to Megabite with the receipt and food in hand. At first he said that this pizza was ordered hours ago and that’s why it looks different. We said no, we just received it, look at the time on the receipt. Then he went on to say again that you get what you get. We asked for a refund. He refused. We said we don’t want this food, we want our money back. He refused. He was shouting and swearing while customers were eating inside. He was slamming his hands on the counter. This man was so rude. I did not want another order made, I simply wanted to return my food, which did not happen. I at least wanted a refund for the extra charges and the delivery fee because I ended up having to drive to the store anyways. This was only a few dollars, which I didn’t really care about, it was more the principal. I work in the customer service industry and a full refund should have been offered after I said I did not want a new order. I did not get a refund. I am not the type of person to become angry with a complete stranger, but the customer service I received was the worst I have ever experienced. I am writing this review months after the incident. You must imagine how it felt the night of! Never going back here. I hope this is useful, and if anyone else has an experience like this, maybe writing a review will bring this to the owners attention. The manager may not only be mistreating his customers, but his employees as well.

Really bad customer service over and over again. I’ll share my experiences with this establishment: –2013– 1. First time I ordered pizzas one of them came expertly prepared with almost 20 – 30 very long blonde hairs on them. Was wondering if they shared the facility with a dog grooming business as well. solution: gave me approx $ 80 worth of free pizzas. Awesome, great. –2014– 2. First time ordering from them in a long ass time, The counter person is rude and slams our food on the table and makes like everything we say is a great favour and we should be so lucky to even be in our presence solution: nothing because calls and emails werent returned –2014–(today) 3. Ordered from them delivery tonight. Mucked around online and found a good deal(my normal pizza place was closed, which sucked because I pay more to get better pizza than megabites) I removed some ingredients from a pre selected deal and added my own(at my cost even though Im removing ingredients so it makes no sense to still charge me) The Pizza gets to my place, and its wrong, the wrong ingredients are on the pizza and the dips were smashed inside one of my pizza boxes, so we didnt get dipping sauces because the adorned the sides of a box. When I called their business line it took 3 attempted calls and after the 16th ring the very young sounding woman picked up. After I told her about this and how i wanted to get another pizza delivered and they could take back their pizza, her best offer was giving me a credit for TWODOLLARS on my bill next time! What an insult, $ 2! I ended up throwing out my disgusting pizza covered in sauce and toppings I didnt want and she refused to help me out. This youngin kept repeating«there isnt anything i can do about that.» Girl, I can think of 15 things I would’ve done in the same situation. In conclusion, Megabite has always had real bad customer service, and this was the last straw, I will never EVER(ever) order another pizza from Megabites.

FANTASTIC! Sesame seed crust! Helpful! We are visiting from Washington State… not only was the pizza phenomenal, the hotwings wonderful … the Poutine sounds bizzare and is yummy yummy yummy! Who can go wrong with fried potatoes(french fries) covered in brown gravy and cheese(curds). I really was skeptical … silly, silly me! After a *really* wonderful and yet tiring day unique pizza, normal hot wings, and new food … good day. Oh, and Conchy y Toro … yeppers, good day.

Totally disappointed came here after a couple of beers… pizza looked great but that was totally deceiving pizza sauce vinegary and bitter and when I discovered the pizza had mushrooms as the girl(very rude awful service) was removing from the warmer I asked to change pizza slice but no can do as I had paid! I would certainly not recommend this dump or it’s staff so disappointed! Will never go here again.

place looks dirtier every day. Odd time I do succumb to the temptation of having a convenient slice, I’m never satisfied the pizza is neither tasty, having the dried out texture of cardboard, nor easy on the stomach, as you will feel it 20 minutes later.

Came here for my late night pizza fix. Parking is available along Thurlow in the evenings, if you’re lucky. Staff were friendly and quick. Pizza slices cost a bit more here at $ 2.25, but hey, it’s downtown. And yes, the pizza felt good. There’s quite a bit of turnover at this location, so the food is quite fresh. Beautiful.

Told it would take 7 min for lasagna and wings. we patiently waited. At 20 min., I went to the counter and asked about it, and they said it’s on the way. Then I saw him put the lasagna in the oven and I saw the wings go in the deep fryer. Must be someone else’s. Nope, it was ours. No apology. It took more than 30 minutes altogether. By the way, the hands on the guy preparing the food were dripping with some disgusting looking white slimy substance. He gave me change; I think I’ll wash the change. Anyway, I said it took a really long time and they should offer me something, maybe a coupon. The cashier just laughed it off and ignored me. I would never go there again!

We’ve ordered delivery from here 2x… First time pizza came late but tasted great. Most recently/tonight-was told it would be 30min, but it took over an hour. The pizza was ok but i think it would’ve been better if they were on time. If they want to retain customers, they need to be more reliable/upfront about the timelines or at the very least be prepared to offer a future discount especially when they are excessively late.

YUHKNOW… This place used to make really good pizzas. There must be new owners or new bakers… something… because the pizzas taste nothing like they used to. I miss the old Megabite Thurlow. I’d hate to take my loyalty elsewhere, but it seems inevitable at this point. I have my doubts about the Davie location just because I’ve ordered from there and the pizza tasted like the ones I make at home — bad! 30 Day Unilocal Challenge — 8⁄30

I generally love pizza. I generally really appreciate Megabite Pizza. Often, when I stop by Commercial Dr Skytrain, I say to myself(sometimes even aloud) that I LOVE pizza and that Megabite delivers. That said, there are substantial differences between Megabite and Megabite. The location on Thurlow has been infuriatingly disappointing. The pizza dough in this location, unlike at its sister stores, has no flavour or density, and tends to be too airy and watered down for my taste. To beat the empty, hollow flavour of the dough, I assure you, the toppings do little to repair the situation –every time, the pizzas are a little too burnt, a little too browned, resulting in just an overwhelming feeling of disappointment. And thirdly, after I ordered for ump-teenth time a delivery from this location, I had to finally resign, give up, raise my hands! Every time I order the ‘za from Thurlow, I end up with two pizzas and no dressing, despite the customary 1 mini-cup of dressing per pizza rule. After talking to the help line. the clerk apologized, and offered a complementary CAN of pop. I would rather they fix their customer service and make their pizza better than having a measly can of pop. I guess I’ll just keep on buying Megabite, but NOT at Thurlow. Ever. Again.

Decent Poutine. I like the fries– crispy on the outside, soft on the inside and the cheese is actual cheese curds. The price isn’t bad either(5.99 for a fairly large poutine?) — I like La Belle patate but they are very expensive– Fritz’s makes a mean poutine but they are still several dollars more than Megabite and not *that* much better. If you’re craving poutine late at night that isn’t super expensive but doesn’t taste like the monstrosity they try to sell at, say, Burger King… this is the place for you.

OK. I’ve walked by here so many times and never went in. I figured. gone are the days of 99 cent pizza and for $ 2.25, how good could it be? Well last night, after I finished a contract job, I decided to drop by and have a bitte. «One of those veggie pizza’s please» I ordered and payed. Then when I took my first bite. BAM!!! HOLLA! This thing was packed with fresh garlic! OMG is all my mouth could say and my brain was telling me. UHOH. Garlic breath. Oh no… …but my mouth and stomach were simply happy from that wow and zing factor thrown in for fun. Never chomped down on a slice of pizza so fast. Never had I thought that this place could really deliver something to kick the blazay out of my day. A true surprise for me today. I want more. I’ll have to find another excuse to come down here and get another slice of that garlicy laden bad breath makin veggie pizza.

Agreeing with Rhody T. about this one. I am beginning to think something is seriously wrong with me. Why do I eat here? Even tonight after the amazing Olympic hockey game I don’t even have a buzz and still I choose to curb my hunger with this nasty pizza. Too bready, too stale, too SOMEthing. I am lost as to why I ever go here. No matter which location I am always seriously grossed after consuming a slice from this chain. Help!

Thank you from the ignorant US citizen who only had US $s and though you normally do not accept the same, you took my money and eliminated my hunger. I saw all these tourist running out this place with 2 and 3 slices of pizza looking thoroughly pizzalicious. In I went and the slices were going away faster that they could make & bake them. As I waited patiently in line I saw my favorite go away but alas just a few moments and allowing a few people to cut in line and out came a fresh Hawaiian pie… and it was delicious!

I’ve tried many times Megabite Pizza and I love their pizza. and one more thing I never waited more than 12min. one more thing if you buy 3 topping pizza(ther eare some takeout specials) it’s gonna be really reasonable and your own personal pizza, you can choose your 3 ingredients whatever you want in many many ingr. ;).

Get a slice of reality! $ 18 for a ‘large’ pizza and had to wait 20 minutes. I could have paid for 8 slices at $ 2 each($ 16 total) for BIGGER slices and not had to wait — and had a better selection of toppings for cheaper. Slices are the way to go — don’t buy a full pizza(unless you only want 2 toppings) Prefer the pizza at Numero Uno on Granville. —– Edit: go for combo 2(small pizza, 6 wings and a can of pop) — it actually seems like ok value. Enough for 1 extremely hungry person(or left-overs for the next morning), 2 hungry people, or snacks for 3 people. The pizza isn’t THAT bad, but I’m not increasing my rating because I have ALWAYS had to wait about half an hour for my order — when they say it will be 10 – 15 minutes(last time they forgot to put the wings in so had to wait another 15 minutes while my pizza went cold)… guess I should get organised and order over the phone first.
