SCAM ALERT!!!
You know those big giant signs that say «2^nd month free» that they have outside their building??? Well, apparently the people that work there don’t know these signs exist.
I went in to look at the facility. They made me wait ten minutes as they answered the phone and were hesitant to show me. Finally, they showed me the units that have. Then, when I asked about the 2^nd month free, she just said «we dont have anything like that.» I said, «what about the big signs on your building?» She said «what signs?» And then said «oh, that’s for a different size unit.» I called back a week later to find out what size unit that special goes for. The guy on the phone said «we dont have any deal like that.» I said, «it’s advertised on a sign on your building.» He said «we don’t have any signs on our building saying you get the second month free. We’re the one on Powell, maybe you have the wrong place.» It went back and forth like this, him getting more and more adamant that there’s no such sign on the building until I said, «I’m on a Google phone and it’s even brought up a photo of your place and I can see the sign in the photo.». He responded by saying «Let me tell you something about the storage business,» (condescendingly,) and then proceeded to put me on hold. Wow! Total scam. Totally false advertising. I bet there isn’t a single person who has gotten the second month free. Completely up to the salesperson whether they even acknowledge the giant signs they have advertising the second month free. Scam, scam, scam!

I stored my precious belongings with Maple Leaf in Vancouver from August 2014 for six months and I was a nervous first time storage user.
The team were outstandingly organized and I was very happy with the quality of the customer service, the security measures in place and the condition of the building (I stored at the end of Commercial Drive). Sherry, the store manager, was very kind to me when I got mixed up on my date to vacate the suite and ended up moving things out a day later after talking to her. Other operators would have stung you for another month but Sherry kindly allowed me a few hours grace and saved the day. I would highly recommend Maple Leaf to anybody. There are a lot of ‘sharks’ in the storage business with hidden costs. These are the good guys.

The staff are always very helpful, responding right away and most important they simplify the process of renting a storage locker, when you are in a very stressful situation like a move. The facility is always clean and secure. This location is very convenient, easy to find when you need an excess to your locker. I am happy to recommend them!

No staff on site majority of the time. When I moved in, my reserved locker was locked and occupied and no staff was there to help. Sign on the door said they left early for the day.

Gotta agree with Julien on this one. My experience at Maple Leaf was painless and pleasant as a place that stores stuff could be. Good service, the place is absolutely immaculate, secured effectively, an underground loading area, well priced (second month free when I was there) and it’s in town which is nice. A lot going for it for sure! Highly recommended.
Bonus points for feeling like you’re in a sci-​fi movie (THX1138 anyone?) when you’re wandering the monotonous maze-​like halls.
