Mangez Mangez was fast, affordable, and delicious. The panini I had was amazing and the soup was hot and healthy. I had a latte which was very flavorful, clearly used fresh ground, high quality coffee beans. Can’t wait to try out the great breakfast menu!!!

First time here. Ordered a veggie panini and some soup that the owner recommended. The soup was carrot and something else. I hate carrots and I was too socially awkward to say no, after the owner claimed it was his favourite. When I took my first sip, omg. So good. The panini was good too. The cheese in it was a bit plain, but the pesto was nice. The staff is super friendly. I’ll probably be coming back to try their other items.

Great food for great value in downtown Vancouver, not to mention plenty of healthy options as well. Joe and his staff have bought Mangez Mangez and have been running it for a few months now, before which they were at Kawaha Café around the corner before they moved. Joe is super friendly and his staff are all very sweet. I love their wild mushroom soup among all their different options, but you can’t go wrong with any of them. The soups are all made in house from scratch and have quality ingredients, which is why I don’t mind paying a little more(about $ 7 for a large soup). Today I got the Santa Fe chicken salad, which I’ve had a few times. With taxes it’s $ 6 and is a decent sized salad. Nothing to fancy going on here but a solid salad that I can’t complain about. There’s pasta salad options, quinoa salads, cous cous salads and more along with sandwiches, not to mention their fantastic breakfast sandwiches as well. This is a place I frequent when I want a quick, healthy, and fairly priced meal that’s steps from my office. Highly recommended.

I love this place for a post 1pm lunch b/c there’s no crowds, you can sit down in peace, and the staff are super friendly. For food I always get their chicken baguettes because they use real chicken and not mystery deli meat. For around $ 8 w/a drink I feel it’s money well spent.

I’m visiting Vancouver for work and had the pleasure of finding this charming café nearby. The paninis and salads are made fresh everyday, and it shows! It’s a convenient spot to grab a quick and delicious meal. The staff was friendly, and the owner makes an effort to say hi to the customers. Due to its central location downtown and welcoming atmosphere, I came back the next day to try their breakfast menu. Their muffins are baked there FRESH every morning– I recommend the banana chocolate chip :). The coffee was also up to par and a great complement to my pastry. I saw they had other warm breakfast items, I’ll have to try them next time!

Terrible. Really bad service. A friend of mine got food poisoning and when he told the owner what happened, he said, ««Thanks for letting me know. But I think it’s because something you ate yesterday Would not recommend to anyone.

I work closeby, yet had never came here to grab lunch … until today. I grabbed one of the pre-made sandwiches, turkey and Brie on artisan cranberry sourdough. It was quick and delicious. I think this may be my new quick and cheap sandwich place. I have come annoyed with all of the $ 8 – 10 sandwiches I pay for at lunch, it was a nice treat to walk out with a great sandwich for around $ 6. I will be back… often.

THEBOBBIFORBREAKFAST is all i have to say. although every time i ask for mine without a tomato, they repeat it back to me… and still add the tomato in lol. oh well, minor detail that’s not the biggest deal because it takes me two seconds to pick it right out. my work always gets cookies and sandwiches from this place delivered during group assessment days, and those are all pretty decent(except i’m not a huge fan of the veggie sandwich with pickles, or the egg salad one, but that’s just a personal choice). my favourite mini-sandwich is the turkey cranberry one — it’s like thanksgiving leftovers! i’ve never actually sat inside to eat, but while i’m waiting for my breakfast sandwich, i notice chill, loungey, house music always playing in the background… which is so unfitting for a sandwich shop, but so awesome at the same time.

I’ve gone into Mangez Mangez a few times simply because of its proximity to work. It’s just your average café with soup, salad, and sandwiches. If you’re really strapped for time there are pre-made sandwiches and salads by the counter. And, if you’ve got a little more time there are also wraps and paninis. So far the sandwiches have been great. My favorite so far is a bagel sandwich with salmon lox and capers. I tried the brie panini, but it was altogether a little cheesy for my tastes, and quite a bit messy as well. As for the salads, they all strangely and unfortunately contain meat, except for one. The one time I did opt for the green salad without chicken the lettuce was definitely past its prime. And, the soups are all sickeningly sweet, as if they’ve been doused with a cup of sugar. It doesn’t matter if it’s barley vegetable, mushroom, you name it, if it comes from Mangez Mangez it comes out wrong. This is quite unfortunate on one of the many rainy Vancouver days when some soup would really hit the spot. Otherwise, the staff are really friendly, the service is quick, and it seems like it would be a nice, relaxing spot to sit in for a bit. So, I’ll steer clear of the soup and salad, but probably pop in for a sandwich next time I’m in a rush.

The coffee here is pretty standard — their americano’s are alright but when it comes to theirs WRAPS, they are delicous!!! I’ve tried both their Bacon Breakfast Wrap and their BaconLess Breakfast Wrap and they were delicous. The BaconLess Breakfast wrap was lacking one thing: BACON(Both of these wraps are under $ 5 :)) Other than that that, this place is great for going in and getting out. They offer free water while you wait for your wrap.

The muffins are baked fresh on-site and are very good. The coffee is also good. However, the service leaves something to be desired. I always pay with a credit card(for the past 6 months) and this morning, the owner(the man) told me to go somewhere else if I didn’t want to pay cash. The total was $ 2.25(so not like 2 cents), and they accept credit cards and don’t have any written policy saying there is a min purchase required, so to tell me rudely to go somewhere else is pretty unacceptable, especially since I have been going there for the past 6 months. The lady is always very nice though but they’re often on shift together.

Food is okay but the staff is unfriendly and the owner a real smartass. He yells at his employees in front of everyone and not professional at all. Dont bother with this place

A-OK’s around This is basically a grab and go place. There is seating in and outside, but it’s minimal. Sandwiches are premade and fresh made. The premade sandwiches appear to be made daily, so it’s safe to assume freshness. I’ve had sandwiches and wraps here. Nothing terribly mind blowing and nothing terribly terrible. It does its job.

In from the right, out on the left. This will help if it’s your first time visiting this place. On the right side is where you can grab a premade sandwich, drinks, salad, or place orders for a hot sandwich and then you work your way across to the drinks and cashier. I ordered the French Brie Panini Sandwich, they gave me a small wooden stand, I paid, and I found a seat. A few minutes later, presto! Panini magically appears and the wooden number stand is no more! I did like the brie panini. It was very simple and not greasy at all. Nice crispy grill marks, soft bread on the inside, fresh tomatoes, lettuce, and melted brie dripping on my plate. Brie is a very versatile cheese as long as you don’t over power it and they did not. Well seasoned and balanced. Although there was minimal interaction between the cashier lady and I, she was very kind to help a elderly lady bring her coffee to the table. That’s very sweet of her and I’m sure the customers waiting to pay didn’t mind at all. Realistically I would give this place a 3.5, but for the excellent service I saw… 4 stars :)

I just started working across the street from this place on monday. So for my lunch break I decided to check it out. I ordered the steak sandwich and the american peppermint latte. it took about ten minutes for them to figure out if they had the ingreidents for my drink. which was fine I wasn’t in a rush. when I got the drink it was just a regular old tea. So I asked the girl to exchange it for the latte like I asked. She said«oh but you were only charged for a tea.| so I told her I would pay for the different. that should have been the end of the story. But no she sighed and with an attitude informed me that i couldn’t just pay for the difference she’d have to refund the sale. Awesome service there lady! but not really caring that much the next morning I went for breakfast. i ordered the jimmy to stay and the coffee to go. The SAME girl handed me the coffee in a mug. so like any normal person would do I asked her to put it in a to go cup. ‘I specifically heard you say it was for here.» wow. this girl just doesn’t get it. when you work in a service industry the correct response is, «no problem.» One my third attempt at this place(beacuase the steak sandwhich is actually to die for) the girl made me so mad that I decided i would never return. I miss the steak sandwich but its not worth the annoying girl at the counter that has to push the blame abck to you whenever she makes a mistake.

I’ve considered writing a review of Mangez Mangez for quite some time now, however as I’m sitting here enjoying the sheer delight of the«Jimmy» breakfast panini, I figure it’s the perfect time. I work in the SunLife building, which means my co-workers and myself visit Mangez Mangez on a fairly regular basis. Sam is a wonderful barista, who always remembers my order, and builds a great rapport with the customers. It’s really nice to have your barista get to know you a little, whether it be by your name or remembering your fave cup — especially when it’s grumpy morning time. For breakfast, it’s hard to beat the Jimmy breakfast panini. A baguette filled with succulent bacon, baked eggs, tomato with the right amount of tang, finished with havarti. It’s then placed under the sandwich press, where it becomes melty on the inside, and crispy on the outside. Delicious! It costs somewhere around $ 4.25 plus HST. Very reasonable for the size and quality of the ingredients used. They also have a vegetarian variation, and offer wraps as well. The muffins are also delicious. They all seem homemade and have a crispy edge that is fun to pick off and snack on. The bulk of the muffin has a satisfying dense crumb, and the fillings(berries, bananas, etc) do provide some areas of moisture — just the right balance! This is no fluffy-barely-there Tim Horton’s. There is a cold lunch fridge, which offers a generous selection of sandwiches, salads and drinks. The BLT is super, as are the chicken sandwiches — the smoked chicken and the mango chicken are among my favourites. It’s not the kind of place I’d venture to on my days away from work. The décor is nice and the food is delicious, however it does have that vibe of catering to the daily grind of office workers. But if you are in the area and you need a good coffee and a bite to eat, do not pass up Mangez Mangez.

These are the hardest reviews to write. This is a very nondescript kind of place. The sandwiches are OK, nothing fancy. The mushroom potatoe soup was not very good — way to sour for some reason. The tables were not clean, but I made some amends and sat down. There is a large TV for lonely diners that dont want to people watch. Dont go here but if you are in the area and need a quick bite it may work.

Mangez Mangez is a nice place to grab a quick bite to eat, but it’s best to just run in and grab something, as there isn’t much in the way of ambiance(or seating if it’s busy), and the staff banter I could do without. As soon as you walk in, there is a «cold lunch» section filled with pre-made salads and sandwiches. Get here before 12:30, as many of the pre-made salads(mmm seafood pasta salad) and sandwiches run out quickly. Next to the cold lunch area is the hot lunch area and the cash. Here you can order soup and pre-made panini sandwiches to put under the sandwich press. I don’t even think they make paninis to order, which is a shame, because the vegetarian sandwiches run out rather quickly. It’s worth coming here for the soup alone. Their coconut lentil soup is incredible and very filling. A large soup is a meal in itself. Mangez Mangez is not worth going out of your way to visit, but if you’re in the heart of the business district and need a quick, filling lunch for under $ 10, it’s worth stopping by. The staff are not friendly, at least in my experience, so keep that in mind.

This café is just a nice place to grab lunch when you’re in the business district. They’ve got all the basics — soups, sandwiches, coffee — plus just inside the door there’s a big case of drinks, ready-made sandwiches, and salads to grab and go. It’s around the corner from the office where my friend works, so this is the place we go when we just want to get sandwiches and walk around and chat for a bit. For about $ 6.50, I can get a huge wedge of panini sandwich oozing with Brie cheese and stuffed with fresh, hot tomatoes. It’s wrapped in foil, rather than nasty styrofoam, for ease of walking, talking and eating all at the same time. My freelancer’s version of multitasking!(Note: get napkins.) It’s also a good place for eating in, as there are high ceilings, art, and free newspapers aplenty. Or just watch the businessmen go by.
