Terrible service, unhelpful staff. I would spend more at another location just to not shop here.

I’m pretty sure the rayban custom lenses they ordered for me aren’t authentic. for one, it doesn’t have the rayban logo on it. yes, im serious.

I’m really surprised to see the reviews for this shop. I get that they are saying it’s pricier than Holt Renfrew and other big department/​store chains. I was looking for a great pair of sunnies a week ago or so and I happen to have stumbled upon Lotus Eyewear Optical Shop, at first I was hesitant to go in but i noticed (just like any other stores in downtown), they have a discount offering Buy 1 Pair Get 1 Free Pair. Sounds like a good deal. So went in and checked, and found the pair i’d like to purchase for someone. I didn’t buy it that day as I wanted to check other stores along Robson St as well. Let me tell you this, their prices are just the same as the ones being offered to the other stores. Holt Renfrew is different, and so is Sunglass Hut.
As for the service, i was quite intimidated because they weren’t that «SMILEY». The real story is, I bought two pairs, One (1) from Tom Ford and One (1) from Persol. I changed my pair 4 times. Yes, that’s four times. and they weren’t giving me a hard time at all! they were very nice and accommodating. I’ve went to several optical shops along Robson and most of them are way too pushy and giving me way too much sales talk. Of course, it is part of their job. But there’s a proper way to do it. So back to Lotus, they are courteous and respectful whether i wanted a new pair, change lens, or change pair. I was getting shy cause it’s not in my nature to keep on requesting for a replacement. But honestly, i was relieved that they were very open to it and was giving me open and appropriate suggestions.
I’d say more power to this shop and thank you for a great transaction!

Avoid this place at all costs. This business is completely ripping people off. I was interested in a pair of their Prada prescription sunglasses that I had also previously tried on at Holt Renfrew. They wanted $ 600 meanwhile Holt Renfrew was selling them for $ 355. Not only did they want $ 600, but making the lenses prescription was an extra $ 100. I called the lady working there (who seemed to be one of the owners as her husband was working there as well) out on their price discrepancy and she had the audacity to tell me that there was a difference in price because Holt Renfrew’s sunglasses were lower quality. She even went as far as trying to convince me that Holts sold customers the pairs that were out on display for everyone to try on instead of them selling newly packaged pairs. After assuring her what she had told me was completely untrue, she quickly ran to the back of the store and told me her husband would help me instead. Bottom line their glasses are completely overpriced and the staff will lie and deceive you just to get a sale.

One of the rare shopping experiences where they didn’t listen to the customer. Repeated a few times what I wanted but seemed to steer towards something else.
They do carry their house brand of lenses, $ 100 cheaper than Nikon 1.74.
The usual brands like Boss, Armani and Oga, decent selection, not as much as Lenscrafter or Clearly.
Nice Persian lady though.

If you really want to know what is the worst customer service you can go to Lotus Eyewear. I really won’t recommend this place to anyone.

This place is so sketchy! I worked here for one day and high-​tailed it out of there! I should have declined the job offer after the interview but I decided to give them a shot. There is no formal training program, and the owners were impatient and the man was even rude to me because I did not know everything on my first day. Pardon me, it IS my first day you know. Though I studied sciences and have a good knowledge of physics, light rays, optics etc., none of this was recognized.
Their poor attitude also reflects in the way they treat their customers. Jumping on customers as soon as they walk in and pretty much going right for a sale rather than making a connection with the customer first and making them feel welcomed. Also, I worked 6.5 hrs on my first day and was only given a 15min break which by BC labour laws is illegal. Any shift longer than 5 hrs requires an unpaid 30min break. The owner is also only a qualified optician NOT optometrist or opthamologist. The equipment they use is old and the backroom is dirty. The hot water in the washroom wasn’t even working. They don’t explain refund policies when selling glasses, just to try and get away with selling low quality products for high prices. Their social media is poorly managed; perhaps a reflection of poor staff management and task delegation as well?
Go to Clearly Contacts a few blocks east of here. It’s WAY cheaper, the customer service is friendly, the store is clean, and there are qualified optometrists on site. Whatever you do, stay away from Lotus Eyewear.

Very disappointed. Polarization on my expensive sunglasses began to come off less than 2 months after buying. When I went into the store I was told that not only would they have to send off the sunglasses «to get them evaluated» but that I had to pay for shipping. To boot, they wouldn’t ship them to my house after evaluating (even though I have to pay for shipping), so now I have to pay for a ferry trip just to pick up my sunglasses… Poorest warranty policy I’ve heard of… obviously they don’t understand what good customer service is!

I will never recommend this store and their services, if I could give them a zero on this review, I would!

I had good service. They made custom lenses to replace to badly scratched ones in my non-​prescription, and discontinued design, D&G sunglasses. I mailed them from Alberta and they had them back to me in 2 weeks. My local eyewear place said they couldn’t/wouldn’t do it for me so I went with Lotus. For something like this I’ll choose them again.

My husband already has a post on this shop, so I won’t add much more. Only that it is the worst store and optometrist I have ever encountered. And I have been wearing glasses from around the world since I was eight. Poor craftsmanship, offensive customer service, and horrible warranty and return policy. I would not wish this store on anyone!

Located on trendy and convenient Robson St, Lotus Eyewear is one of many eyeglasses stores to choose from. My recommendation: choose anywhere but Lotus Eyewear.
The employees buzz loudly in their efforts to up-​sell. After a multitude of frames in escalating price ranges, a pair of Versace frames and lenses came to nearly $ 400. Which is reasonable — if they weren’t the worst pair of glasses ever and if the faux sugar-​infused customer service wasn’t last to none.
Leaving out the politically incorrect comments by the on-​site optometrist, we were back in the store within a month because the nose-​piece was defective. The glasses were also unevenly weighted and the scratch-​resistant lenses easily scratched. After a year of wearing them — for reading, writing, and not contact sports — the wiring near the nosepiece gave away. We returned to the store to fix them.
Unfortunately, the warranty (which we were never made aware of) expired last month (which we did not know about). Perhaps the fine print was too difficult to see.
So the cost of fixing them? Just 50% of the cost of the glasses themselves. After all, it is Versace. But if having a professional fix it isn’t important, they’ll solder it for $ 39 plus tax.
