History

Established in 1983.

Logotex started in 1983 in the basement of the founders home in Horseshoe Bay, BC, pioneering the corporate clothing business in Vancouver by offering embroidered logo clothing to small businesses that had never before been able to access this type of look for their staff and clients.

Logotex started with a single-​head embroidery machine, adding a 12-​head machine a couple of years later. By 1990, we needed to add a 3rd machine — 24 heads, and there was no more room at the house! So Logotex moved to its current premises at 1460 Venables Street in Vancouver in 1990.

In the mid 1990s, we added promotional products to our product mix, and opened our 1250 square foot showroom to give our clients a one-​stop promotions shop.

Founders Stan and Barbara Shackell retired in 1999, and their daughter Anne Carroll took over the running of the business. Anne is a national board member of the Promotional Products Professionals of Canada, and a past president of the Vancouver Executives Ass’n

Meet the Business Owner

Business Owner

Anne Carroll has been an entrepreneur from a very young age — selling Regal products door to door to earn money before she was old enough to qualify as a babysitter, later selling Tupperware at home parties, and then working in the family business for several years before taking over the day to day operations.

Anne has volunteered on many business-​related and community association boards and has been involved in Boy Scouts of Canada and Girl Guides of Canada as a leader in both associations.

She is a past president of the BC Chapter Board of the Promotional Products Professionals of Canada (PPPC), and currently sits on the national board of the PPPC. She is a past president of the Vancouver Executives Association, as well as a past president of the Influential Women in Business Association of BC.

Anne actively pursues human potential training, and is an active soccer player in the North Shore Thirty Something Soccer Association.
