Apparently owning a panini maker entitles you to charge $ 9 for a sandwich. Dry turkey, wilted arugula and non existent cheese. Extremely disappointing.

Horrendous. I actually created an account just to write this review. Walked into a dimly lit restaurant with very strange table linens covered in plastic like grandmas couch. Was a mess with many tables having not been cleared, so finding a place to sit was a challenge. Sandwiches are pre made and wrapped up so you can’t really see what they are, though there is so much condensation on the refrigerated glass display case you wouldn’t be able to see them anyway. Soups aren’t made in house and are just warmed up bagged soups they sell on site from another company. Two sandwiches and a small bowl of the worst beef barley soup I’ve ever tasted came to $ 18. To add insult to injury the sandwiches tasted awful and the poor girl working there was all alone, likely accounting for the dismal condition of the restaurant as well as the delay in getting our food. Cannot believe that there was a positive review from this place.

I’ve been to this restaurant a few times. It’s touch and go for me. I’ll order a sandwich and it’ll be really great(chicken pesto) and then order the same sandwich another time and it’s blah! The same for their walnut beet salad. I’ve had it a few times and sometimes it’s just not on point. I love the Cuban bean soup. Simply delicious! It is a very small place with little seating and is very busy at lunch hour on week days. The service is pretty good. The staff are friendly and try there best to get you your order quickly. They will take your order while you are in line, b/c it’s THAT busy! Free water is a nice plus!(Jugs and glasses so you can have something to drink without purchasing something, though they do have pop, juice etc).

Expensive… Sloooooowww… Last time I went, the bacon was raw in my potato salad and made me sick. When I complained, they said they needed my phone number for the manager and they would get back to me on their time… … Have not been back.

Sandwich/panini is good and not to mention the soup is awesome. I went in today on a friday and they have a deal where you add a soup for an extra $ 1.95. not bad sandwich and soup added up to $ 10.40. I had the Blue Moo and the Thai soup is great. Place is busy with a lineup. but they speed it up by having someone taking order and once you are up at the cashier you just give them the sheet of paper and pay.

The name of this place was so silly I didn’t check it out for years and I regret that now because the food is DELICIOUS. Amazing soups and sandwiches, plus I think they guy their pop in the states because they often have vanilla and cherry coke zero… It takes time — don’t come if you’re in a super rush. But it’s totally worth it.

Solid lunch spot. Delicious sandwiches and soup. Can get pretty busy at lunch time but I’ve always managed to get a seat. I think I ate here every day for a week once.

I have been to this spot for lunch numerous times as my office is just a stone throw away. The staff is very friendly and animated so no dull moment there. The décor is just your typical soup and sandwich corporate shop. I have had a variety of soups here but have to say never had the chance to try the chilli as every time I tried they were out! My favourite soup here is the moroccan chicken and the nutty chicken panini is a good sandwich. I have had mediocre soups and sandwiches too so the rather low rating. Some of the soups are just bland and taste like something from a can.

Good soup and sandwiches, not very pricey, and usually a decent selection of vegetarian soups if you’re into that sort of thing. The borscht is excellent as is the pulled pork sandwich, and interestingly they usually have some interesting Coke products in the cooler… I hadn’t seen Vanilla Coke for years!

This place is in my neighborhood so whenever I need a lunchtime meal to warm me up I head here. I usually get soup and a sandwich and take half of the sandwich home for later. Whenever I eat the whole sandwich I feel like I’ve had too much food. I really wish they offered a half sandwich option. They use quality ingredients here. Though the soups and sandwiches sometimes don’t taste as amazing as they should for the price. It’s a really cozy place with a nice atmosphere but sometimes when they get busy they don’t have time to clear the tables and it’s a little gross sitting beside other people’s leftover half eaten plates of food.

I was disappointed. The mushroom soup was pretty bland and was very«gummy». It sat in my stomach like a brick. The music was so loud.

Cute name for a café that reminds you of what you should be eating when you’re sick. Good selection of eats and drinks. Nothing wowed me that stood out from the pack, however, it serves it purpose. Customer service was friendly.

Would I go back? — Yes, sandwiches are one of my favorite, guilt free foods. You get all the food groups in one bite and it always satisfies. Really hard to mess a sandwich up and I really like their rotating menu selections. Everything is from scratch with the utmost respect for integrity, which really shows through in their food. Would I recommend it? — Yes they have more unique sandwich options then«Quizno’s» and use fresher ingredients than«SubWay». It is a gourmet fast food sandwich for the same price as an almost 6 inch foot long. Don’t deny your cravings.

Very Tasty Chicken Chile faily priced. I think the line could have moved a bit faster, but the person at the till was decent .The stews seem worth it. the bead they served with the stew was little dry. Still a good chose for that block glad to see them in the hood not a fan yet but make become one soon.

Great concept and service for such a tiny location for soups and sandwiches. I walked past every morning and I always wonder how this business is surviving – it always looked empty during their breakfast service! However, they have quite a crowd for lunch. A variety of sandwiches were displayed which will then be reheated on a panini press. Soup choices were abundant with a couple of specials for the day. My Montrealer came with corned beef and sauerkraut – a far cry from a smoked meat sandwich that I expected. It’s more like a Reuben, skimpy on meat, sans Thousand Island dressing. And the walnut scallion bread didn’t quite complement the filling either in my opinion. My special mushroom soup, whilst tasty, was excessively gummy in mouthfeel. When I looked at their ingredients on the website, I found out why – xanthan gum. I would recommend their sandwich and a side of soup deal for lunch. But skip the mushroom soup and try their borscht if they offer it. Sandwiches were okay but plenty of choices to suit everybody.

The name is awful. When their friends and family heard the name, did no one say, «You need to change the name.» But moving forward… This is just what the Broadway/Granville area needs — quick service, real food, fantastic prices, a place to sit without wine glasses. Us office workers over the bridge do not have the variety of lunch trucks or restaurants but thankfully this place has us nourished in a snap. I’ve have been to this ‘green’ establishment a few times now and I’ve never been disappointed with their daily specials, hot soup and wait for it,… people who use your name. Imagine. Genuine customer service. This will be my go-to place every week or two.

For $ 9.95(taxes included) for a sandwich and large bowl of soup, that’s really well priced for the area! Of course cheap doesn’t necessarily mean good, but it is here! The service is extremely friendly and sincere. The food is delicious! If you’re craving a soup and a sandwich(or one or the other), this is the place to go to. It’s not coming out of a can like the stuff at Tim Horton’s across the street and it’s really tasty. I know where I’ll be going when I’m sick and wanting some soup! My friends rave about the chicken pesto sandwich. The Turkey Club looks really tasty. The Montrealer was decent but nothing spectacular. I’ll be coming back.

Welcome to the neighbourhood, you healthy, moderately priced lunch option you! Fast, flavourful and friendly service — that about sums them up. The grilled panini options got my tummy growling, but alas, the sourdough, cranberry+walnut loaf and the baguettes were full of wheat-y goodness, with no gluten free options, so I refrained. Quiches, pot pies and tourtieres also graced this menu, but by the time I saw the clipboard/chalkboards, my heart became set on soup and salad. I opted for their salad of the day — a roasted beet, cranberry and walnut combo with a maple balsamic dressing. I was incredibly shocked by the amount I received for $ 6.95 — huge! Okay, not huge, but it filled a full size take away container. Next time, I’d ask for the dressing on the side, as it was a little on the soggy side of the fence. And, for an additional $ 2.95 I also went for a cup of piping hot soup. Portion size — big again. Note: If you were a Soups Etc! fan, no need to fear — they’re serving Soups Etc made recipes on the menu and in the well stocked cooler for your home-souping needs. If it’s your first time in, it may seem like you order on the lefthand side of the counter, and pay on the right, but it is the opposite. Head to the cashier first, make your order and then wait for it towards the left/near the door. There’s plenty of tables to sit for a working lunch, but I took mine to go. It was ready in less than 5 minutes. Pow!
