Really good stuff here. Well priced, fresh ingredients, delicious meat. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who likes this kinda of food.

The falafel was really tasty. One of the best I have ever had. However, my issue is with the one running this place. Unilocal offer mentions $ 6.75 INCLUDING tax for falafel on check in. However I was charged this plus taxes. On confronting the owner about this, he acted as if he didn’t know about it. It isn’t so much about the money as it is about people trying to cheat you for a few cents and then acting as if it’s not a big deal.

This is an updated/​edited review. Since my disappointment in first trying this place, the owners and staff provided good customer service and stood behind their product. This was appreciated.

I honestly almost had an orgasem after eating their food. Was very fresh and high quality. I wish I could give them 6 stars because they treat me like a VIP

The falafel platter is my favourite. It is nearly impossible to find a delicious and fresh falafels for on-​demand take-​out food for under $ 10, yet alone one accompanied by a compilation of nutritious and tasty customizable food choices. My go to selection for sauces include the house honey dijon for the included fully-​loaded custom salad, and a combination of the made-​in-​store tzatziki, tahini, and spicy mango which is drizzled onto the 4 falafels and rice. The hummus and dolmades balance the meal nicely in providing a complementary neutral yet desirable flavour. Sheik does a great job providing a well maintained atmosphere, and it is great to collect points from their loyalty program (already have a free falafel wrap :))

Hip mom and pop operation. The owners were so nice and friendly. Pick your pita and chicken, beef or lamb. Add your veggies and then sauces. There are about a dozen veggies and as many sauces to chose from. They then wrap and grill it which toasts the donair slightly. I had chicken with tebouleh, turnip pickles, lettuce, tomatoes, humus and tzaziki, garlic and hot sauce… excellent! A great lunch!

I think I may have just found my new favourite donair joint! Not only do you get your pick of unlimited vegetable and sauce choices for your wrap or platter, the meats are OFF THE HOOK! The chicken was seasoned perfectly and had some nice crispy bits while still maintaining it’s moistness. The folks that run the place are friendly and patient so if you’re new to this kind of joint, they’re more than willing to show you the ropes in what comes with what and what sauces go well with what meats.

Friendly service by family-​owned shop. Their ingredients are super fresh and the lamb/​beef is so delicious. Pricing is appropriate for what you get and they really care about their food and their customers. I wish they’d be open for dinner, too!

Donair joints can be hit and miss, but this one is a bullseye. Great wraps and friendly service. And the taste is off the hook.

Awesome lamb kebabs, friendly service and the nature documentaries are enjoyable to watch while waiting for the food to be prepared.

Its my first time here and I found the staff to be very friendly and helpful with choosing the type of sauce and toppings I wanted with my chicken donair. Great all around environment.

Best Donair wraps in town! Love the Beef and Lamb. Great selection of sauces (most homemade) and toppings. Management and staff are are always freindly.
I’m on a budget and treat myself to lunch out once a week… 9 times out of 10 I’ll come here! Good portions and «bang for the buck».2 BIG thumbs up!!!

I still love this place, I just wish it was open on weekends. Weekends are the only time I can visit Vancouver anymore, otherwise I’m doomed to never eat here again :/​It’s literally the biggest buzz kill about this otherwise awesome place.

I’m literally writing this review as I’m eating my donair (chicken with falafel, if any of you were wondering). I’ve had a few donairs in my time and I’ve got to say that this is the best one by far. The ingredients are fresh, the meat is seasoned beautifully and to top it all off, the staff there are fantastic!
The location is a bit of a drive away from my office, but my coworkers and I make the trip out there because it’s worth it.

Really great donairs. For $ 8, it’s quite a good price for the Gastown/​Downtown intersection. The owners and workers are polite and the inside of the restaurant is clean and orderly. I had the Large Chicken donair and even though I work two blocks away, I couldn’t resist and had dug into half of it by the time I got back to my office!

Just had a late lunch there. Very good food and service. I tried beef and lamb platter. The owner is very humble and polite, he gave us complimentary desert when he came to know that we are visiting from Calgary and its my wife’s birthday. A must eat when you are in downtown.

Great little lunch place with gluten-​free falafel! We had the very tasty chicken platter, with rice and chopped salad for a mere $ 8. Great sauces to choose from.
And super friendly service.

Not just your usual great quality donairs and falafel but they’ve got some interesting toppings like pickle turnips, that are pink… and they’re known for their spicy mango sauce.
And for a Donair place, they’ve got the best drink selection by far, even offering San Pellegrino for just $ 2.
You’re allowed 2 free sauces though don’t know why anyone would want more lol.
too bad they close early on Saturdays, 3pm.
