History

Established in 2006.

In 2003 Cori Maedel, CEO of the Vancouver-​based human resources consultancy «The Jouta Performance Group», set up her professional mentoring program, Kokoro (e), with the initial purpose to help three particular women who all had the potential to be so great but who were getting in their own way. Her purpose was to help them understand what was required to be successful in business as a woman. She believes in supporting women in how to be stronger, to have faith in themselves and how to be their best.

Cori is a member of the International Coaching Federation and over the years has successfully coached hundreds of businesses and individuals, both personally and professionally.

In 2006 Cori founded Jouta, an HR consultancy based in Vancouver. What started as an idea years ago grew from a bedroom business to a company initially employing three, then four and now ten people with offices in Yaletown, Vancouver.

Cori began her career as a successful entrepreneur over 25 years ago. The world of human resources and coaching has been her home ever since and she’s helped many business owners along the way. Her strength lies in translating the often overwhelming subject of HR in to practical and realistic tools for business owners to implement, giving them consistency and strategy to help their businesses become more effective and productive.

Her areas of expertise include (but certainly aren’t limited to) legal compliance, recruiting, retention, development and training.

As a Certified Executive Coach Cori also has a gift of being able to see what is hidden below the surface and to bring that which is hidden into view. Using these skills she has been able to assist employees, colleagues and senior executives reach their individual and corporate goals and their greatest potential.
