I got the rainbow roll and it was yummy, but by no means exceptional. I don’t think it’s quite worth the money. However, I like that their menu is constructed with both health-conscious dishes and classic comfort foods. Might come back and try something else.

Such a good food! The veggie burger was top class and vegetarian chicken dish even fooled my friends. Nice atmosphere, good service. will definitely go back.

Stopped in for a quick meal prior to movie with my wife. We were promptly seated by the manager who was working the bar side of the restaurant. Once seated, we received no service. We were not provided with a menu, no came and took our drink/food order. Several servers passed by not noticing. After 15 minutes we just walked out. The manager/hostess noticed us leaving and asked if we were served. When I told her the situation, she was very apologetic and professional. I wouldn’t give one star if it wasn’t for the managers concern when we were leaving. I can’t remember the last time this had happened at any restaurant. Brutal.

Food was cold. I had a steak and everything was room temperature. Mentioned it was cold amd they put new sides and heated up the steak again(brutal). Steak came back cold. Manager came over but friend said everything was okay. Waitress and all staff were nice.

Went here for a friend’s birthday party today and I loved the experience! I ordered the summer sangria and the burger. The sangria was sweet and bubbly with a hint of strawberry. It was also on special(6 $) which made me happy. I subbed the thousand island and mustard on my burger for BBQ but I think that was a mistake. Next time I won’t do that. However, it still tasted pretty good. Loved the fresh patty and onions though! I thought the fries tasted like MacDonald fries, which means it’s pretty tasty. I really like the layout of the restaurant… if I bring a huge party we can comfortably split into smaller groups but still get up and mingle and feel a sense of privacy. The service was also wonderful and the waitresses were super nice and never looked annoyed even though we took forever to order. I think I’m going to host my birthday here as well!

What a happy accident that we came upon this place during our trip to Vancouver! I am usually kind of wary of chains(as there are a few Joeys in Vancouver and a couple in Seattle as well) but JOEY was totally great. As others have said, this place has the feel of a lounge – dim lights, bumping music, servers dressed in all black everything(hah!) but rest assured it is not intimidating at all and everyone is super nice. We started out at the bar to pass our time waiting for a table, and the bartenders were super friendly and make a pretty good drink! When we checked back at the host stand and it turned out we had missed our name being called, the hostess was super accommodating and let me go back to the bar to close our tab before leading us to our table. Our server, whose name was Tempo(hard to forget a cool name like that!) was also super friendly and nice. My dinner buddy had an old fashioned and a standard burger, which he enjoyed, and I had the classic margarita and the bacon cheeseburger. So good! The margarita had egg whites in it, which I’d never encountered before but was really tasty! I’m thinking maybe the egg whites added a creaminess to it. Either way I thought it could be weird but it was actually quite nice. The bacon cheeseburger was BOMB and everything I want from a burger – hearty, juicy, and flavorful. The food was awesome and the service was even more awesome. Yes.

This was my favorite meal during our Vancouver trip! Every single thing was great. The paella and chicken flatbread were fantastic. The atmosphere is very cozy and cool as well. Highly recommend!

This place needs no introduction, but I thought I’d give this branch another mention; specifically, about the food/kitchen. It was Joey’s that ignited my love for Tuna Clubs. They make it so well that I have not thought to order any other entrée on their menu. Funny how that works. I’ve had my share of Tuna Clubs here and at other Joey’s branches. I must tell you that this branch is the only branch that gets it right every time. Nothing pains me more than overcooked tuna on my Tuna Club — exaggeration? I think not. When I indulge, I expect my experience to be as close to perfect as… who am I kidding… It has to be perfect. And, of course, the Tuna Tacos. Once again, tuna seared so well. So delicious. Not everyone at my table orders the Tuna Club every single time, so I do see other entrées. Feedback is always good. Mum had the pasta recently and thought it was delicious. I don’t ever skip a Bellini, too. Even that is better here. The consistency is admirable. Something about this branch. Keep it up!

I’ve had some good eats while we were on vacation in Vancouver. Joey Burrard was another place on my list. When in Vancouver, one must have fish especially salmon… at least that’s the rule I told myself. This place has a lounge-y feel to it. The horse lamp, dim lighting and cozy seats. The menu has a lot of interesting items but what really caught my attention were… Lobster Grilled Cheese: Generous chunks of lobster with warm cheese in between warm, buttery and crisp bread slices, served with crispy fries. I wanted more! 5⁄5 Steak and Sushi: Surf and turf. My chance of getting fish with my meal while taking care of my beef craving. Tender and flavorful slices of steak and a pretty sizable rainbow roll drizzled with spicy aioli. 4⁄5 I wish I could’ve tried the Duck Poutine too but I had to catch a plane home. So, til my next visit…

Excellent all around, Food is amazing We both had steak and prawns, grilled just right And what a flavor full steak. Mashed potatoes came deep fried in a spring roll. Sounds different yes it is but in a most excellent way. Service, Décor, ambiance location all awesome Prices are reasonable considering what your getting for your money. All and All a good choice

My wife and I visited Joey’s on vacation in Late September of 2015. I would highly recommend a visit while you are in Vancouver. I couldn’t decide between the Surf ‘n Turf and the Ahi Tacos until our waiter steered me towards the tacos… fantastic choice! My wife had a salad and the Mushroom soup, which she noted was by far the best mushroom soup she’s ever had. There is a variety of seating to choose from– formal dining, bar area, and large outdoor patio. We sat outside, under the heaters. It was a cooler evening, but the heaters kept us comfortable and they even provided my wife a blanket to keep her legs warm. A vivacious staff, great selection of food and cocktails, and the variety of seating Joey’s offered warrants a 5-star rating.

My experience with this restaurant has be wonderful! I had recently received an email informing me that they shared the review with the staff and as a thank you I received a free appetizer or dessert. I’m so looking forward to going back here for the great food, service, and the baked Apple pie(I’m not even a sweets person). Thank you again Joeys for the wonderful dining and food experience.

We had a nice night at Joey’s. We snagged a seat on the patio for happy hour which with perfect weather. The staff was friendly and we had attentive service. Their happy hour specials are limited, but I got a double gin and tonic with a scoop of lemony-lime slush, which was supposedly on happy hour all day. I tend to stay away from any drinks that include slush, but this one was great! Very light and not overly sweet. I ordered the salmon Caesar salad which was also light and fresh. The fish was perfectly cooked and I enjoyed my meal. We also had the Korean cauliflower and the yam fries, both of which were great. The cauliflower was spicy sweet and cooked perfectly. Joey’s is a nice spot, especially for patio sitting and gin and tonic drinking. I would recommend if you are in the area.

This place is crazy busy during weekday at lunch time. But probably because of its location. This like any other Joey serves pretty much the same thing as all other Joey. I do infact like the atmosphere here more than the other ones. Probably because I find the staff quite friendly. But they can get personal and remember your name. Well not my name but my friend’s name. Since they work downtown and go there more often then I do. Food wise is good and they are quick. They have seating outside but only problem I find is that its infront of a busy street which I feel the food can get dusty if sitting too long before consuming.(I didn’t see dust but I can imagine) Will I come here again. Of course. Well again this depends if my friends want to go to this location. But they usually do because they work downtown and this Joey is very central to offices.

Came here two days ago for lunch. Ordered the Steak and Sushi which is described as «Japanese surf and turf, tataki style, CAB prime steak, ponzu sauce, rainbow roll» for«24 ¼» dollars. The steak I was told was 5oz. I just wished it was 7oz or more instead. The steak was pre cut and was in a dish of the sauce. The steak and sauce were both wonderful in taste and complimented each other well. The rainbow roll was also very delicious. I love this dish because I get the best of both worlds, steak and sushi! How can it go wrong?! Service was great. I only wished the meal was cheaper or had even more food. Even after gobbling everything down, I probably could have an additional steak and sushi to fill myself up. Due to the price point and with all the other great options in the area, I probably won’t be here too often. But if I am, there’s a good chance I’m ordering the steak and sushi again!

A cool place to stop and grab a few drinks before bar hopping. As we didn’t eat any food, this review is based solely off the alcohol menu and service. The female bartender had a weird attitude with us, but the guy that ended up closing out our tab was awesome and gave us some dessert shots! Can’t argue genuine hospitality and kindness.

Oddly, or unoddly enough… this place has become somewhat of a weekly/weekend gathering for that last call before everything shuts down in Vancouver… well everything that is not a club! So the weekly after hours meetings… yes, they happen here, right up till 2AM. I give this place props… being open that late and taking in all the stragglers that come in through the front door. My friend likes big, wide, open spaces, in the bar area(the only most important area of any big establishment!)… so here we are. listening to top 40’s music, sometimes a little too loud. but it brings the mood and atmosphere of this place… as a fun, hip, downtown fun joint where all are welcome. The order for us always has been the ‘McWilliams’ Chardonnay… and it has been so automatic that the waitresses. when we are here… seem to remember and magically the glass of holy liquid appears right before our eyes. As much as I feel like a usual suspect to the place… so are the waitresses here… it’s just which one of them is serving us. If you can tune yourself away from the music. there’s enough screens playing the highlights of sports for the night so you will not miss a beat for the next morning when you have to jibber jabber on what awesome play happened in the world of cricket or rugby! If you are here late enough at night you will realize that much of the industry comes here to play after their own establishments are closed… and it seems that everyone in the core of downtown knows… let’s head on in here… so if your scared of big groups of people. well tough. you will see them here, and all having that last beverage before they lay their heads on their pillows. Whether it’s booth seating, bar seating, or upper stool like bar seating… it’s all there in the lounge area, seat yourself, sit back, order, and enjoy… that’s exactly what has been happening everytime I am here. The service has been great, and until they decide to open another one to these hours of the night… I guess I will be back… rinse and repeat.
