What better way to start new year with a healthy salad! Ordered my usual winner, the Beach. For $ 17, good value, nice grilled chicken, quinoa & candied pecans. Also the Basa fish tacos definitely worth it too.

I loooooved joey’s! Everything I tasted was delicious! My favorite thing there is the sushi and steak! The sushi is fresh and perfectly crafted, the steak is delicious and cooked to order. Honestly anything you get will be delicious.

I gave it a 1 star because the service was the worst ever! We came here to get a quick late lunch and even though the place was empty, it took them 10 minutes to seat us! Then we had the worst waitress, I mean if she was training, I would completely understand. She gave us the menu and the specials and walked away. We were decided really quickly because we knew what we wanted. When she cam back after 10 minutes, I had to ask her for water! Anyways, the food took way too long even though it was a slow day and the restaurant was pretty much empty! I can even understand and sympathize with that but what made me really angry was that when our food finally came, my fork was dirty. I asked her to replace and she just walked away with it, while my food was getting cold. Seriously, after 2 minutes, I just got up and got a fork from the table next to me. She actually found her way back, after we finished our lunch to give me a new fork! LOL! Food was okay but worst service ever! !

Amazing food and service! Free parking on weekends, flat $ 5 valet parking weekdays! Free refills on all non-alcoholic drinks :) Very nice vegetarian options as they substitute meat with soy-based alternatives. Loved the ambience, will be back for sure!

You cant go wrong with joeys. I really like this location because parking is easy they have a valet service and they vacuum your car. The drinks are always good i think they have happy hour after 9? I always though joey has one of the better food out of franchises like cactus, milestone or rogue. There is not one specific dish thaf stands out. Pretty standard high quality burger and fries and pastas. You go to joey because its consistent and its just a nice chill place to hang out, grab a drink and chat. Actually the patio is okay during the summer.

I won’t go back after this experience. There are too many similar restaurants in Vancouver to choose from. The steak that my friend ordered is hard. The pasta dish is not warm enough, and it comes with a different sauce than what it was indicated on the menu. The blacked basa is not blacked; it’s burned. It requires skills to blacken the fish but it doesn’t require skills to burn the fish. I felt sick throughout the night after eating the fish; my body felt like burning. Our server is not attentive although it wasn’t busy at the restaurant. I also had been to the Burrard location and I have to say that Cactus Club is better than Joey — Cactus Club has more consistent quality over their locations with their food and service.

I like Joey’s the best out of all the big franchise like Earls, Cactus, Moxies, etc. Favorite dish for me is their Ahi Tuna club club with fries! They put onion rings inside the burger and it’s just delicious. The fries are also awesome cause they remind me of McDonald’s fries :) Their butter chicken is also surprisingly good. I always get it with their brown rice and they mix together so well. For desserts, I love the apple pie, but my friends all like their lava cake — I think it’s their signature dessert. All in all, a good easy place to go to without resos and perfect if you’re going for just drinks.

Good: Great location, very central. Modern décor and good food! ! There’s a(covered) patio upstairs, great for groups!(They can accommodate a bigger table) Not so good: It’s *really* noisy there! ! The music is always blasting loud, gives me a headache every time. And I can’t keep a conversation there. Verdict: Great to enjoy the food and drinks if you’re not really into the company. ;- P

We ordered Steak & Frites and Salmon for dinner. It was perfectly cooked and in a good proportion. I’d say it’s a 3.7 stars to me however I checked 4 stars as there’s no options between 3 and 4. The dessert was a bit disappointing to me as when I saw the chocolate soufflé on the dessert menu, I couldn’t help to order it. But(here’s the but), it was NOT soufflé at all. It was a chocolate lava. However(here’s the however), it tasted pretty good. It just bug me a bit that I know how hard for a restaurant to serve soufflé and I was kind too into the mood expecting to taste one.

If you’re under 25, avoid this place at all costs. Service is basically horrendous compared to most other restaurants around. They’ll INSIST to see your ID despite not even ordering a drink, and then just ignore you for the rest of the time you’re there as they don’t think you’d «leave a good tip» if you look under 30. Place is a complete joke, and this is coming from a guy who loves hanging out at great restaurants! If the waitresses here were a little cooler and not just looking for tips from old men who look like they have money, I’d come here all the time as I live just a few blocks away! Otherwise, catch me at a restaurant with more soul, better service, and a more original atmosphere.

JOEY on Broadway is your typical chain restaurant where you can expect decent food and service. The NR team arrived for our wrap up lunch and the restaurant wasn’t too busy. It appeared that they were doing their staff training while we were there, which I thought was a little odd… Anyways, the interior is pretty nice with comfy seats and wooden décor. They also have a bar/lounge area and they offer happy hour from 3 – 6 pm. We started off with the Japanese Gyoza, which features pork dumplings with hot mustard and a spicy sauce. These are pretty pricey gyozas, since an order comes with only 6 gyozas and costs $ 12. Everyone quite enjoyed these as the sauce was delicious and they were pretty well made. J did mention that she wished they came sizzling hot. They were rather lukewarm. The Rainbow Roll featured Ahi tuna, salmon, crab, and topped with a sriracha aioli. I was surprised that it was actually pretty well executed since it’s not a Japanese restaurant and the flavours worked well together. Basically a Califronia roll but topped with salmon and ahi tuna. We all agreed that the rice was a bit cold and seemed like it was premade and refrigerated though. For my entrée, I was sad to hear that my favourite Beef Dip was removed from the menu. Perhaps it’s because beef is so expensive now! Anyways, V and I both ended up getting the Ahi Tuna Club and paired it with a Caesar salad for my side. The sesame bun was filled with two large slices of Ahi tuna that was grilled to medium rare, bacon, onion rings, and some sweet pepper relish. It was a mouthful but the tuna was seared on point and I liked the crunchiness and sweetness of the onion rings. I wasn’t a huge fan of that sweet pepper relish though. The salad had just the right amount of dressing and was topped with a generous amount of Parmesan cheese and croutons. M got the Bacon Cheddar Burger and paired it with sweet potato fries. A classic and it seemed like he had no complaints about it. S got the Sashimi Tuna Salad which had seared rare Ahi tuna, mango, peanuts, avocado, tomatoes, and a cilantro ginger dressing. The tuna was seared perfectly with the edges being slightly seared and the center a beautiful pinkish red. Delicious and visually pleasing as well! J got her go to Beach Salad, which comes with strawberries, quinoa, candied pecans, avocado, lemon poppy seed dressing, and grilled chicken breast. It normally also comes with goat cheese, but she asked for it on the side. It was all tasty and good… until she found a piece of chicken that was still raw. We notified the waitress and she had the kitchen cook up a brand new set of chicken. To finish, we had their famous Baked to Order Apple Pie. This is a must order if you like pie! The menu claims that the pastry is hand-folded, and I’m not sure if that’s true, but the pastry is the star of the dish. Extremely flaky and one of the best pie crusts I’ve had. The pie is filled with cinnamon coated apples and toasted almonds, and topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. It also comes with maple syrup which was asked to have on the side. A delicious way to end our meal! Overall, the food at JOEY Broadway is pretty good(other than their failure to cook chicken). Service though, is a hit or miss. I’ve had some pretty good service in the past, but this specific time was terrible. Our appetizers arrived rather quickly, but then the wait began… Our entrees took literally another 30 minutes to come and our waitress seemed lost and confused. She even came back to confirm our orders, so it seemed like she had forgotten our orders. It took so long that our lunch ended up being almost 2 hours… And we also did not get any apology or reason why our food took so long at a not so busy restaurant. Pros: — Food is consistent and usually well-executed — Ambiance is pretty nice and comfortable Cons: — Wait for food to arrive was extremely slow this time — Our waitress seemed lost and confused…

Ordered the veggie burger: flavourless, soggy, shapeless. Covered with alfalfa sprouts, cucumber, avocado. Korean flavoured cauliflower was tasty.

Today, I ordered the Ahi Tuna Club with yam fries. The food is a bit over priced but its close by my work place and they don’t have much competition. My Ahi Tuna is a very large piece so I am happy. However, my yam fries were really salty today. Its a hit and miss. The place is not as busy as it used to be couple years back. And the service is a bit slow. I sat down and was not given water until 10 mins later. The décor is nice and during lunch time most of the people who come in works nearby(you can tell by what they are wearing) The restaurant is not as loud as the other Joey’s chain.

This place surprised me,. but not in a good or bad way. We live right by this location and at night… our neighbourhood is a ghost town so when we decided to go here to relive a dessert we’d had many years ago at a different location,. I felt like I entered the Matrix. It was packed! Clearly this is where anyone in our area with d-bag tendencies converges. Like Cactus Club and similar places, the wait staff are not hired for their skills or intelligence, but rather their bust size. The interior was one of those economy version of a high end places with the backlit bar. A perfect match for the fake and pretentious clientele — trying but not quite being, cool. It is a place to be seen for sure by a certain crowd, just not my crowd. We had the lava cake dessert, and admittedly it was good in an assembly line guilty pleasure sort of way, but the other dinner dishes I saw were typical Mark Donnely fare — just not my cup of tea.

We were really impressed with the level of service we received. From the time we were seated until the time we left, the service was impeccable. Servers and managers were very attentive and friendly. The food was acceptable. The apple pie dessert was excellent. Would definitely go back.

Descent service. Waitress seemed distracted. I just came for dessert. My apple pie topping was slightly burnt… but the pie was barely warm. Over cooked a bit and then just sat out too long? This is my guess b/c my icecream wasn’t melting. I’d usually complain but I just didn’t bother. Their happy hour menu seems pretty good. My $ 3 bellini was good! I liked how the manager came over, intoduced herself and gave us the h.h. menu.

Absolutely horrible. Soup came half full and it was $ 6.50, yam fries were few and cost $ 8! What happened to this place and the quality is awful! The stars are dir the service only. Will not return and neither would my friends. What a rip off.

Good food, but they could have made it better. I had the chicken souvlaki with yam fries. There were chopped up pieces of charred chicken inside the wrap, but they didn’t remove the skin on the chicken. The yam fries was delicious with a mild sweet flavour, and they were perfectly fried. The chanterelle mushroom soup was quite wonderful, but it could have been better if they added a little less salt. It was nice to know that there were actual pieces of chanterelle mushrooms in the soup. The small sized soup was quite big too. I had to find out when I went home and I looked at my photo at my unusually tasty charred garlic toast. Wowzers, it was very charred and I don’t like charred food. There was so much garlic spread on the toast that it masked the taste of the charred bread. It was so dark that I didn’t see it, and I would have sent it back. The atmosphere was comfortable. The service from the server was reliable even on a Friday night.
