My friend tried to buy a piece of pizza for a homeless guy that approached us as we walked by this place. The owner told us straight to my friend’s face that they don’t take credit cards from foreigners. We obviously questioned that one and then as we handed him cash we told him that’s a pretty douchy thing to say to a tourist. Then the guy threw the piece of pizza on my friend’s suit… It was actually pretty funny and if this was a comedy club or hidden camera show I’d give it 5 stars… but I’m sorry as a restaurant assessed for customer service… This place gets a 1. And we didn’t even get a pizza or our money back!

Got the vegetarian! The price is good and it’s nice that it’s by the bars. It does need more seasoning though. But for the drunchies I would recommend this place. Open till 3 am

The prices are good and the pizza tasted great, but it took a while to get our food. I don’t suggest eating there. Probably best to just order take out.

Surprisingly, in a sea of surrounding more expensive restaurants, this is a nice change. It’s been awhile but it’s a bit better than your Fresh Slice, a smaller joint obviously more for takeout. And for tourists who are in Gastown lol.

Unsafe business. Not clean at all. I do not want to waste my time to write. Just check the official reports : I really don’t understand people doing business like that and worst, I don’t understand people who eat in this place !!

This joint has great pizza-by-the-slice! It’s my bit of indulgence after a long day at work when I don’t feel like going home and cooking. Too handy, if you ask me ;) I enjoy nearly every flavor here. I love the thin, crispy crust and the lesser amount of cheese they use. I do love cheese but I, at least, want to feel like these slices are a bit healthier than the average. Only downside I’ve found with Hot Pie is the inconsistency in how they are made. A lot of different people have worked here and every person seems to make the pizza differently and they’ve got their own standards. Sometimes dry or overcooked, sometimes deliciously overloaded. Please don’t charge 2.75(full price) for a slice that’s been sitting around for awhile. Put it in the $ 1 category or something. No amount of reheating will make it more appetizing.

Little by-the-slice pizza joint in the heart of Gastown. It’s a great for a late-night snack, or even a lunch visit. The pizzas are surprisingly delicious. The ingredients are fresh and the dough is crispy. I’m a fan.
