Name is changed to ribs? This is the one of best Korean restaurant in Vancouver. Their service is very good and taste is so amazing — I highly recommend this place.

Food was good. The place is too dark for my liking. Cleanliness of the place can still be better if they do more cleaning.

First time we went to this place I was so ecstatic. Then we came back a second time and everything had changed. The menu has changed a lot, and not for the better. Maybe this stuff is just easier to make. Koreans want chicken and beer and all the usual Korean traditional dishes– they seem to have tossed all that out then window. Hit Denman/Robson for fun, delicious Korean food instead.

Came here 2 days ago for lunch. Been here numerous of times before. The prices for food and drinks are reasonable and the food is decent as well. Apparently they have a new owner now, so I guess that’s why they no longer have their points reward system and don’t have the 20% off lunch. The menu is now more Korean rather than a mix of Japanese and Korean. I ordered the beef cup rice which is one of their lunch specials for $ 9.95. It comes with rice, marinated beef, lettuce, seaweed, kimchi, and mayo. Pretty good imho. I would give the place 5 stars, but I can only give it 4 because it is almost never open on time. They say they are open at 12pm but more likely than not, it is not. And even if they are open, they are not setup and ready to go. Their real opening time is probably more like 12:15pm or 12:30pm if it is actually open.

I did not expect that. A pretty young woman urged us to go in while we were looking for at the menu. She was right that we did enjoy ourselves. First the pirate décor makes little sense, which is fantastic. It is small and cozy. The waitress was smiling and attentive. The kimchi pancake was very very good. I’ve been to Korea and to be honest I am not sure it is really how is it done over there, but does it really matter if it is good? The bibimbat was also crunchy just how I like it. We will be going back!

cute décor, decent food, okay prices, they have Asahi Black(automatic +1 star), friendly and smiley service, prompt food, but they limit the time you can spend eating(which I thought was enough, but still a somewhat unwelcoming concept)

Next time I go I really want to bring my pirate hat so I can blend into the décor ;-) I stuck to the Korean menu items and was happy with my decision. Good mix of flavour and I enjoyed everything we ordered. We’ll be back :-)

AMAZING!!! We live literally 3 buildings away. Tried it for the first time tonight and the this place is Awesome!!! The menu is huge and the food is so tasty and well priced. The pirate theme is so much fun and the music got us dancing in our seats! The Sapporo Jug of beer was huge and cold. The serves was way better then anything else on Davie st. With big smiles and beautiful personalities. Have to go for sure. Super cool heritage building, hidden tables around back you can rent out for parties. Gonna have my birthday there in December :)

This place was a pleasant surprise. We were looking around for dinner pre-fireworks and stumbled across this place when everywhere else was full. The décor is cheaply Pirate themed and they had the Pirates of the Caribbean movie trailers on repeat on a TV. It was a cluster fuck and I loved it. The food is fusion, so expect to find rolls like you’d find at The Eatery or The Local. I had the Jack Sparroll, and I don’t really remember what was in it. So the only really big issue there is their choice of music. It’s loud and a weird choice… Almost enough to get them 3 stars. They were blasting EDM over the speakers and it kind of effed up the mood… but that may be something you like, so I left it at a 4 star.

Wow this place just blew me away with its Kimchi fried rice in a hot stone bowl. It has this subtle aroma that is pleasantly lingering around your nose and throat with cheesy buttery flavour. This marries beautifully with spicy Kimchi taste. We ended up ordering one more. We couldn’t resist. We also had their big salad with loads of sashimi and vegetables. It complemented really nicely with the scorching hot and pleasantly spicy Kimchi fried rice. Oh Oh Oh and the biggest thing I REALLY like about this place is THETABLEBELL. You don’t have to worry about fighting your way through somehow catching servers’ attention and waiting forever. Just simply press the button on your table and the server will be there right away. The place is cozy and somewhat intimate. Great place for little groups and couples. Mmmmmm maybe I should run for it again.

Bulgogi Don was meh. Could have used some sauce to tie it together. Spicy KFC style chicken was a 3 out of 5 stars. Cheese kimchi fried rice was a 5 out of 5. The décor is very fun & pirate themed but the food is not pirate themed. Had to admit I was hoping for some costumed servers given the proximity to Davie Street.
