First of all, my review would be biased if I had failed the out of province safety inspection that I had performed here. HK auto passed my car, and it should have passed, it’s a well taken care of car, but the point is, he didn’t try to screw me into getting my suspension changed, brakes, or tires. He was fair and honest. The price for the inspection was reasonable. Friendly guy too.

I just moved from Quebec to BC and it was hard to find but finally I found a honest mechanic that is not out there to rip people off, unlike hundreds of mechanics that lie, cheat and invent problems just to make more money out of it.
I took my wife’s car and my truck to H & K auto repair and everything was fast, easy and with no complaints whatsoever, from now on I will go to this car garage and I will let this honest mechanic to be the only one that see after my cars.
I highly recommend this man as if there’s any job he can’t do, he will send you with any other honest mechanic that has the same line of work and values.

Ken has been taking care of our cars for 8 years or so, and we are pretty darn happy. He takes responsibility for looking up the regular service schedule and is conscientious about sticking to it but doesn’t replace anything that doesn’t need to be replaced. Checks everything carefully and reports thoroughly. Has tons of experience with a variety of makes of car and is good about explaining his recommendations. Sends us to the dealer when it is appropriate, keeps up to date on recalls, etc. Rates are entirely reasonable.
