GiGi’s Hair Salon & Spa

I had purchased a Groupon for a colour for Gigis Hair Salon. I got there 10 mins early as I don’t like being late and having businesses run behind because of me. I didnt get seated until 15 mins after my appointment. When asked about my colour I had requested a Dark Black border lining «Blue Black», they said okay perfect. Sweet Im thinking. The service came with a hair treatment which I never got. (Maybe it was the post styling with products?), I’m pretty sure I recalled reading about a mask when I purchased the Groupon. The hair colouring is done and blown out and styled (slightly curled) but I saw no difference in my hair colour. :(If there were not able to get my hair to Blue Black, they should of mentioned it or offered additional services on top like colour correction etc (which I would of been fine with) but unfortunately nothing :(

Do not go here, even with the Groupon. She dry-​cut my hair, not even layer by layer, but randomly. I asked her to layer my hair more and she refused, saying that’s not what was on the photo I showed her. Then she asked the other stylist to finish my cut because she had double booked herself. The highlights were horrible, I asked for ombré and showed several photos but ended up with splotchy orange hair. The second stylist managed to somewhat fix the terrible cut. I am also pretty sure this place is a drug front because at some point a guy walked in to collect money randomly and they also didn’t take my visa so I had to walk to the ATM after my appointment, which they did not warn me of. They were very unprofessional throughout and I doubt they have even gone to any hair school.

I don’t get the terrible reviews. I just had one of the best haircuts of my life with Audrey. She has a terrific personality, listened to what I wanted and I walked out feeling refreshed and (according to my friends that I met up with afterward) looking terrific. I’ll definitely be back!

So, I’m on the fence. I went here about two months back and im considering going again. Mostly coz its close.
I too had the infamous Gigi… But my needs are not as elaborate as the prev two reviewers. Just a short mens cut with a few specifics.
Surprisingly, even with a stack of good reference pics on my phone, it was an hour long and some coaching from me… «shorter here. Shorter there. Keep going. Shorter more…» in the end it wasn’t bang on to my reference but it looked good and here I am a month later once again in need.
With tip (as a rule I almost always tip) I paid $ 20. I think a quick mens cut should be $ 15 all in, and a cut for a nice occasion where photos count i’ll drop $ 40 if I’m sure they know what they’re doing.
In the end Gigi herself may have good intentions but limited skill, while her staff might be pretty good.
Anyone had a positive experience here?

Horrible service, nasty little salon… Poor service by bad stylists!
