Evolution Sails is a full service sail loft in downtown Vancouver, offering sales and service for all sailors. We sell new sails and hardware, repair sails and canvas work, and do recuts, UV covers, smaller canvas jobs, and most anything your boat may need. We sell and service cruising as well as racing sails, windsurfing and kites. We also offer on board consultations, to ensure your sails and hardware are performing well for you or to help you fly that new spinnaker to it’s potential. History

Established in 2011.

After 8 years of working in the sailmaking industry in Vancouver, Jason chose the Evolution brand to represent in his own loft in the Pacific Northwest. With one of Evolution’s main production lofts here in Canada in Toronto, the brand, it’s history, and it’s other supporting lofts made sense. Evolution makes world class sails, and now they are available in the Western market.

Business Owner

Owner/​operator Jason Fanjoy grew up sailing the Kennebecasis River out front his family home, in Rothesay NB. After teaching and coaching for many years there, life brought him out west with his business degree and solid sailing background, melding in to the local sailing scene and finding a job in a good loft in the lower mainland. After 8 years, today he is the owner and operator of Evolution Sails in Vancouver.
