My car was broken into at the Richards St. lot. Terrible company to deal with. Can’t keep their lots secure and useless to deal with after. Negative stars if I could.

Ive had such terrible experiences with these folk, I refuse to park any of my vehicles in thier lots.
Theyve given me several false tickets, and then claim that it takes 15 minutes to register on the attendants machine. This is meanwhile they will ticket you after 6 minutes of being late. This has happened on many occasions to me.
Completely terrible business to deal with.

I parked and just went to see if I could stay at a park in Vancouver. That took about 15 min, and by the time I came back to pay, I had already got the ticket!

DO NOT PARK at easy park if you are visiting from out of town. They say $xx/​hour, max 10 (or whatever the price for the lot might be) and then gouge you by having your «all day» parking end at 6 pm. By 6:20 you have a very expensive ticket — with no warning. Parking in Van is easy and wonderful — they text you when your meter is about to expire! There’s simply no need to put up with that sort of misleading customer non-​service.

I have a love hate relationship with Easy Park as with any drivers and parkers in the city would. This was one of the hates that encouraged me take the bus during the work week = high parking cost. Parking is not secure. Thankfully nothing got stolen when my friend and I parked here for the folk fest and walked most of the way. Security just sat there and didn’t seem to aware of their surroundings which was a little discouraging. This left a bad taste in my mouth last year from parking anywhere close and near downtown.

It’s about time we caught up to the great American technology, where they’ve had digital parking spots counter before you enter the parade, how handy is that?! Noticed this in past year or two but in the big American cities, they’ve had this for a decade.
Like this one because it’s well lit and easy to connect to either Burrard or Richards St.

Avoid at all cost.
I have parked at the lot 44 (Broughton Street) for 2.5 hours. Initially I have accidentally purchased a ticket for 1.5 hours, so I called the number on the meter. The agent told me to purchase another ticket for 1 hour, and place both tickets on the dash, which I did.
Non-​the-​less, I was ticketed. I submitted a complaint on the website, as well through the phone. I have never been contacted (it has been more than a month) and my appeal has been cancelled.
Easy park has been anything but easy, making me waste my time on something that shouldn’t even have happened in the first place.
If you have another parking alternative, use it. It will save you from hours of frustration after their «service»,

A high-​priced public parking lot should not list their hours as 6AM to midnight if you can’t pay (not even a machine) after returning to your car at 11PM.
I arrived at 2PM and since it was in a great location, decided to pay the $ 7 or so an hour (with a $ 24.50 max day charge) to avoid the traffic and searching for better prices, or the 2 hour limits on street parking that also was about $ 4 – 6 an hour. The signs said 6am to midnight open, so I figured as long as we get back to the rental car by 11:55 I’ll be good.
There was security present too, and large parking spots underground, great!
Arriving back at night, a security guard was present, but said that the pay machines were off and the staff had left. What??? How do I pay? I could write a Canadian cheque (I’m from the states) or call the 800-​number to pay, a true hassle. And the parking notice said I had to pay within 48 hours. I didn’t want to get a late fee, so I called and had to leave a message just to pay. I called again and finally reached someone (at least she was nice) and paid it off via phone.
Hassle. I wouldn’t recommend parking here.

Lot 31: 160 Water St. in GASTOWN
Park here overnight and get your car broken into, regardless if you have valuables or not. I own a reserved spot and live in one of the Condo’s across the street and everyone in my row has been broken into, and some more than others repeatedly. I don’t’ know what to do, it’s just hoping everytime you go to your car your window isn’t smashed. Don’t leave valuables in your car they say… yet only time I see security is during the day. Night time I see no one from security. They need cameras or something. Unfortunately I am at the mercy of parking here as I can’t afford to park anywhere else, but every time my car window is busted it costs me. Savages roam freely scoping out cars and bust windows.

Easy Park Roundhouse in Gastown is great — always lots of spots. The meter is sticky with coins though — bring extra just incase. I had an issue and called their office. The lady was SUPER! She was friendly and helpful. I will certainly choose Easy park over the other parkades when I’m in Vancouver again!

These people are horrible, they aren’t even accredited by the BBB, and have complaints on their service.
We went to the opera, parked in the easypark lot, and paid via phone, as per their instructions. We were definitely charged. We arrived back to a ticket, saying we hadn’t paid for parking.
What follows is several days of calling and leaving voicemessages, no human answered their company phone, and we informed them of their error and that we would not be paying the fine.
Any business looking to provide even half decent customer service would have then refunded the $ 25 cost of parking for the evening. Not these people, no, instead, despite wasting over an hour of our time having to track them down to inform them of THEIR error, they hung up on us when we told them we wanted a credit!
To that end, we will be looking to do a chargeback, since they wasted an hour of our time, and we bill at more than $ 25/​hour. Don’t park here if you can avoid it– choose any other neighbouring lot, but not easypark.

We have an Easypark lot for our apartment and one space comes with the apartment but we’ve requested several variations on additional spots over the last year — adding and removing an additional car, adding and removing motorycycles, adding a reserved sign, etc. — and they have been incredibly responsive, friendly and all around awesome.

Well located for Waterfront/​Burrard area, but inconvenient for evenings.
We parked at the Easy Park at 65 West Cordova for a family wedding at the Chinese Imperial Restaurant, right across the street on Burrard. The lot closes at midnight (as reads the signage), but the car gate and all entrances into the parkade lock earlier.
We came at 11PM and called the general Easy Park emergency number provided, after a couple had done the same about 10 minutes earlier. A security guard arrived on a bike about 25 minutes later. He was kind and apologetic, and got there as soon as he could, but that doesn’t cut it when waiting in the rain and cold at night like that with my parents and Grandma. Poor staffing on Easy Park’s operations side.
Cost was $ 7 (6PM — midnight), which is normal for downtown evenings, but problematic when it’s false advertising. If the sign reads «Open until midnight, be open until Midnight!»

We very occasionally park in a public lot in downtown Vancouver, and I never find the ticket purchase process that easy. Recently, I found the Easypark lot bounded by Beatty, Dunsmuir, Cambie and Georgia streets to be a new low in purchasing experience:
It was night, and the machines had no direct lighting: you could barely discern the text instructions by ambient street lights. Perhaps that was for the best: in my brief attempt to understand them I had a growing suspicion that they would only complicate things.
At the first pair of machines I went to, several people ahead of me spent maybe 3 – 4 minutes each attempting to purchase tickets. I’m not clear if they were successful. They did resort to talking to each other, attempting to sort things out.
At my turn I was thwarted: the machine eventually started displaying a «illegal operation» display, repeatedly. On the off-​chance that the machine was malfunctioning I walked over to another pair of machines, about 100 yards away.
There, the first thing that happened was a young man came up and started offering suggestions on how to navigate the machine’s menu. It quickly became apparent that he was a panhandler, but on the ball, and providing a much needed service:
He jumped back and forth between me and person struggling with the other machine, coaching on the required sequence of steps, explaining the intricacies of the cancel and print buttons, when to put in the credit card (right at the start, a step that no one seemed to catch on to).
Whenever someone successfully printed a ticket, and this typically took more than one attempt and required cancellations of the process, he politely asked for spare change.
Bottom line, he is making a living, at least that night, due to the insanely complicated ticket machine. For what it’s worth, this was a Saturday night, around 7:45 pm, and the lot was very sparsely used. Maybe due to maddening machines?
I tried emailing them, suggesting they try out their machines, with friends/​relations as test subjects, see if they can navigate the process. Their response was very noncommittal. Basically I don’t think they care.

When downtown you must park somewhere, and easy park is just so convenient.
When attempting to park at Holt’s the other day I was traumatized by the broken machine not taking credit card payments (I don’t carry cash so rarely have change for the meter), but ooooh, I remember when I look at the machine they have a tele-​pay option! And I already have a credit card number saved from several months back (when ta-​da didn’t have any change and forgot my card at home!) I dial, enter the lot number, it verifies my license plate and I’m on my way to some good ol’ retail therapy.
Swish!
My only complaint is the tiny little spots at the Pacific Center lot, although I know the other locations around the city are much more generous (and don’t require 3 tries to back into a spot haha).
