Yesterday I walked out of Dunbar Cycles with everything I needed within my budget. I had a great time working with Tony who outfitted me. He knew exactly what he was talking about and was very helpful in recommending the products I needed and the products I didn’t. I highly recommend this shop!

I really liked the service at Dunbar Cycles when they were located on Dunbar st. Very knowledgeable staff was the main reason to buy a bike here. The service at the new Broadway location, however, has been dissappointing. I’ve been in twice to purchase a Specialized bike but was ignored by staff both times despite standing there for a good 5min (parking is expensive in vancouver so my time frame is short when I shop).
My policy is, if staff do not appreciate my business, or do not see me because of invisibility due to my ethnicity, then I will leave. Even when I leave, i see staff thanking other customers for coming in. They then look right past me when I walk in front of them.
Considering that Simon’s bikes gave me full undivided attention, from Simon himself, I will offer my hard earned money to them when I purchase a new bike for the 2015 spring season.

Great store. The guys are super helpful and know what they’re talking about. All of the employees are great bikers as well, so they’re passionate about they’re work.
Service is a little slow, but that’s only due to the amount of bikes they have to repair and build. If you need your bike repaired quickly, might want to go somewhere else. However, if you want a quality fix, these guys deliver.
They carry top of the line parts and gear and will special order something if they don’t stock it.
Pricing isn’t amazing, but it is fair and (I believe) you receive free or discounted service with a bike purchase… don’t quote me on that. They do apparently price match though!
All in all, great shop if your looking for a high end bike, parts, or gear.
