Dr. Chan has experience treating patients from all walks of life, from soccer moms to elite athletes. History

Established in 1996.

Dr. Chan works out of the C.A.R.E. Clinic that was originally established in 1996. The C.A.R.E. Clinic is conveniently located in the EastVan Medical Center, just one block south of Broadway and Commercial Drive.

The Clinic has a close working relationship with many other healthcare providers in the area including; Family Doctors, Physiotherapists, Massage Therapists and even mid-​wives!

Manager

Dr. Dominic Chan, BSc, DC graduated from UBC with a degree in Science after attending high school in Richmond. Immediately after earning his Bachelors of Science degree, he traveled to the US to pursue his Chiropractic education. Dr. Chan then went on to earn his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the University of Western States in Portland, Oregon.

After a brief break, Dr. Chan returned home to Vancouver to start practicing at the C.A.R.E. Clinic. Since 2004, Dr. Chan has been happy to practice in the Commercial Drive neighborhood of East Vancouver and treat hundreds of wonderful patients!

Dr. Chan has been helping me for over five years since I suffered an injury to my lower back. He’s absolutely fantastic — he is incredibly attentive to the individual anatomy of the patient, and to their needs. He is also very good at explaining what’s wrong rather than simply adjusting it as other practitioners might do. He also knows just how to get you to relax so that the experience is as pleasant as can be. I even took my Mom to see him, and she’s terrified of being adjusted or even massaged. She had a very positive experience, and often says she wishes she could move him to Europe where she lives.
Thank you, Dr. Chan, for years of being awesome to me and my achey hip. I would recommend your services to anyone and everyone.

I have seen many chiropractors for my back pain due to years of playing sports and being in an office setting. I have to admit that Dr. Chan is the best Chiropractor, hands down! He explained his adjustments very thoroughly and did not pressure me into further treatments. He recommended exercises and stretches so that I wouldn’t need alot of treatments and am able to get better faster. I appreciated his honesty and for not pressuring me to come back. I would recommend Dr. Chan to everyone. You won’t regret it!

I came here for the good reviews and it was not disappointing at all! Dr. Chan helped with my lower back pain and identified the issue I had been having with my hips. I’ve only been to two sessions so far and it’s made a world of difference. He is so friendly and easy to talk to and invites any questions you might have. The prices are reasonable as well. I’ve been to a lot of other chiropractors who had a basic strategy and who would send pestering emails about coming back in for more adjustments, but Dr. Chan isn’t like that and encourages you to only get adjustments as needed. He gives you lots of stretches to do at home so you are well equipped to deal with any injuries and so you will require less treatment. If you are looking for a chiropractor, I would highly recommend him.

Dr. Chan is more then a chiropractor. He’s a friend. He takes care of all who arrive and gives them the extra time they need to help work out the kinks. I’ve personally found myself very relaxed and receptive to his adjustments. He’s friendly, professional, and very informative. Lovely space and location. Thanks man. After having some negative chiropractic experience, I was relieved to visit Dr. Chan. He’s very thorough with explaining what adjustments he’s about to give you, and why. He also is good at massaging and relaxing your back muscles before performing an adjustment. A nice change from the other «in and out» experiences I’ve had with other chiropractors.

Had a rmt massage with another clinic in this building for lower back pain. After I left the office I felt as if I didn’t know to much about my problem. Apon leaving the building I noticed this clinic and decided to see if I could get some chiropractic work done. I was able to be seen by Dr. Chan and he was pleasant from the moment he came into the room. I was super impressed with his willingness to talk with me to get to the cause of my pain and then immediately fix it! If I could rate a 10 I would!!! Thank you Dr. Chan see you Tuesday

Dr. Chen is a master.
I have been to many chiropractors before (in the U.S. and abroad) and I can say unequivocally that Dr. Chen is the man. Lots of people talk about holistic care but Dr. Chen actually does it.
His bedside manner is warm, heartfelt, and genuine. Every time I go there I know he is curious about what’s been up with me beyond just why my neck feels destroyed.
He’s also a fellow athlete so his advice feels like it comes from a place of knowing.
I cannot recommend him strongly enough.

After suffering lower back pain for almost 6 months and and doctors not knowing what was going on with my back. I decided to look for a chiropractor on the internet and I came across Dr. Dominic Chan’s page and mad an appointment. After the first treatment I was feeling better and today after my second treatment my back feels the best is has in a long time. I have been going to Dr Chan for over a year now. I had been experiencing a lot of back pain and decided to go to him. He relieved the back pain, quickly and painlessly, I felt so much better! He is always professional, courteous, and helpful. Like another reviewer mentioned he has given me stretches to help relieve temporary tightness so I don’t need to see him as often! Would recommend him to anyone looking for a great, reliable chiropractor!

Dr. Chan was discovered by me after trying 5 other chiropractors!!! Dr. Chan is attentive, ask questions to determine the type of injury and treatment and then proceeds with practiced care. Dr. Chan treats each patient as individuals and creates a customized treatment based on you. He has kept me mobile and healthy and I wouldn’t go and see any other Chiropractor other than Dr Chan.
If you’re in pain go see him, he’ll help.

After having mediocre results with other chiropractors someone told me
about Dominic Chan. I was very impressed by his professional and
friendly manner, his extensive knowledge and his willingness to spend
time on adjustments, explanations and teaching preventative strategies

I came to see Dr. Chan based on Unilocal results and his award in the Vancouver Courier. Switching over from Dr. Chen on Victoria Dr. I was quick to find everything I ever wanted in a professional chiropractor.
–punctual appointments (did not wait over an hour like @ Dr. Chen)
–spent more than 10mins with me
–listened and made some very good hypothesis on my injury
–focused on rehabilitation so that I don’t have to return as often for medical attention
Bottom line: If you want a chiropractor that’s sensitive to your needs and is confident enough to rehabilitate you, then Dr. Chan is your guy!

I’ve been seeing Dr. Chan since 2005, sometimes twice a year or once a month if I’m in alot of pain. He is knowledgable, patient and does not rush through each appointment like some of the other chiros I’ve tried! And he teaches you stretching techniques very well, so well even that I hired him for an hour to come to my game studio to teach an ergonomics/​stretching workshop. Now our employees stretch at 2pm daily in small groups and it’s really helping to prevent carpal tunnel and RSI. Dr. Chan is awesome and well worth checking out if you have any sort of pain.
