Dolphin World Travel is a full service Travel Agency. Additionally, we can customize travel and tour arrangements to suit individual requirements and budgets.

From time to time we operate special interest tours that are hosted by a member of our staff or by a qualified guest host. All privately arranged tours, even for two passengers are hosted locally at each destination.

History

Established in 1993.

The business was established primarily as a full service travel agency serving the Lower Mainland and the Pacific Northwest. The primary functions were those of providing expert counsel to passengers seeking travel arrangements ranging from air fares, car rentals, hotel bookings, cruise reservations, and wholesaler based travel packages.

in 2000, we added another layer to the operation, offering the travelling public our own brand of tours, customized to their specific needs and budgets. We also added special interest packages and can arrange group travel with themes ranging from Anthropology to Zen. Included in that range would be specialty items such as Destination Weddings, Honeymoon packages, Adventure Packages etc.

The next phase of our operation will include wholesaling our own tour products to the travel trade in North America.

Meet the Business Owner

Francis F.

Business Owner

Francis started his career in the travel industry in East Africa where he worked as a travel conultant from 1963, and later worked his way into travel management. Part of his responsibilities included overseeing elements of the local tour operation. In 1972, he moved to London (UK) and was responsible for business development of a tour company based in East Africa. He migrated to Canada in 1978 where he worked in the tour field, managing reservations and operations departments for a large tour operator. He moved to California to service the tour needs of a large non-​profit organization which ultimately moved their headquarters to Europe. Then he returned to Canada and purchased Dolphin World Travel to develop the tour layer that is currently in place
