I’m so happy to have a local Korean taco truck. The tacos and the bowl are both tasty. I’ve tried all three fillings-beef, chicken, and tofu. I like beef bulgogi the best; I found the other two a bit sweet. I love the kimchee, which I’ve never really had before.

These guys make Tuesdays my favourite day of the week. Ok, not really. But damned close. Their burritos are unique and amazing tasting and more than enough food for a full grown man.

Incredible! I discovered these by chance, and now I am hooked. Wish they had a real location. I would go there all the time. Nice staff too. Great job guys.

At the Shipyards Night Market, I decided to try Disco Cheetah, which is a Korean Mexican fusion truck. They feature tacos and burritos but with a Korean twist. They roam around everywhere, but usually around the Strathcona area and are often at any food cart festivals. Be sure to check their social media to see where they are. I decided to get the Bulgolgi Beef Burrito which is huge! It was filled with bulgolgi beef, kimchi fried rice, pickled red cabbage, kimchi slaw, spinach, and Korean chili mayo. I loved the sweet flavours of the bulgolgi sauce mixed with the hint of spice from the kimchi. A really good twist to your typical Mexican burrito.

Of course I’m going to be drawn to anything disco! And when this yellow truck pulls so often into my town, whether at Steel & Oak or at the farmers’ market or the annual epic food cart fest, I have to get them at least once out of sheer laziness. And with YVR not being known for its high-density … of tacos, and good ones even fewer and and far between, Disco Cheetah’s Korean tacos leave the others in the dust. They’re spicy, but with kimchi and Korean BBQ instead of peppers and cilantro, and are generously topped with cabbage and fixins’ but not to the point where you can’t pick up the tortilla without everything falling apart. The tacos are just the right size and two for $ 9(or $ 5 each) makes a nice shared light meal. I’m game to try to a burrito version the next time I catch the Disco Cheetah in my ‘hood. Kimchi fried rice and spicy beef or chicken sounds just about like a little bit of heaven rolled into a(locally made) tortilla.

Had their chicken tacos today at the food cart festival. Chicken was tender, lots of greens, decent portion, amazing customer service. A bit of a wait for food but not too long.

Oh these were yummy! I tried the food cart when it was based at the plaza of nations(downtown Vancouver) food cart night on a Saturday. I don’t know why this food truck has never crossed my radar, but it will not be forgotten. Ordered two tacos(2 for $ 9) and they were the chicken and beef tacos. I tried the beef first — the beef was seasoned(marinated?) and packed with flavour. The chicken was good, but I think had more veggies than I would have liked. Of the two I liked the beef more, but both tacos were jam packed and they do have a good amount of meat in them! I’d try these again.

I loved it! I got the Chicken Tacos today at the Shipyard night market. I don’t normally go for tacos but wow were these good! Yes they are more on the expensive side but they were generous with the slaw when I asked for extra. The people serving it were really nice too. I would definitely go back to that cart. Maybe next time I’ll try the tofu one.

My favorite food cart in the city! I had no idea that Korean tacos were even a thing until I tried these guys at a Vancouver farmer’s market last year. The beef and chicken tacos are amazing, especially if you add cheese. Why not try the kimchi on it too? Yum! The people who operate the cart are so nice too.

I’m a burrito fan. It took awhile for me to buy into the hype, but I’ve gotta say, it’s a handy way to eat a bunch of deliciousness. Disco Cheetah — that’s Wednesday for my fellow Railtowners — and the burrito special for $ 9. I get the beef — it is so good. A little bit of spice, and pretty filling too. They also take credit cards! This is a big deal. The staff are super friendly, and the food is pretty fast(5 minutes or so, I’d say).

I can’t get enough of the kimchi chicken tacos. I’ve tried the beef(I’m not gonna go near the tofu, but it’s available if that’s your thing), and it’s good, but the chicken is great! I get three of these things for $ 11 and I am a happy, happy guy.

This little food truck may not come across as the most exciting from it’s appearance at first glance but does pop out some awesome and interesting food. I’ve been there twice — both times because my partner loves supporting the ‘under dog’ businesses that don’t have a huge line. they serve Mexican favs but with a Korean flavour twist. The first time we passed by near the Vancouver Art Gallery we tried the chicken and the beef tacos. There were only 2 people in front of us so we got our food pretty quick. I enjoyed the beef the most since it resembled a typical taco but had a Korean spice/sweetness to it. I wasn’t a huge fan of the chicken taco(mainly since I don’t like fruit with savoury meals) but my boy friend enjoyed it. It had a sweat/savoury flavour with the pineapples added to it. We recently went back since we really enjoyed the beef tacos and they were stationed at the Khatsalano Festival. The line was quite huge! It took a while for our order to be taken and for us to get food since there were only two people in the truck to pump out food and the beef taco tasted very different than the first time(softer meat, sweeter in flavour). We weren’t sure if it was because they ran out of food early in the day and that the second batch of food tasted different than it typically does due to last minute food prep OR if they changed the flavour of the meals — we preferred the food the first time around than our recent experience. The service is super friendly(they provide awesome recommendations and love cracking jokes). I wish they made the food truck itself look more«flashy» so that more people tried it — but after the Khats Festival experience, they may have developed a clientele even with it’s cute, simplistic look!

For a moment let’s forget that ALL foodcarts in Vancouver are overpriced,… Disco Cheetah was one that I had not heard of before and appeared today as part of what looked like a mini-foodcart festival at Granville and 10th. I asked the owners what they suggest from their limited menu(basically 3 «meat» types that come in 3 forms: Quesedilla, taco, burrito). They said Taco so I could try 2. I like that concept but in today’s gourmet taco market that usually means sample sized,… Not so in this case, I received a Korean beef and spicy chicken taco, both on a medium sized flour tortilla and not small at all. The flavours were good and the toppings healthy. Do not be fooled by my photo which makes the tacos seem small,. they are above average and for $ 8 for 2, I think the way to go.
