Overall a rather enjoyable meal. Nice restaurant and décor. Tried the buffet — 8 items(2 rice, 2 veg, 1 ochre, 1 paneer, 2 deserts) plus salad — they delivered fresh naan to the table as well as a pitcher of cold water. All of the items were great especially the paneer with spinach and the lamb not to mention the chickpeas. The naan was my wife’s favorite which is saying a lot given the number of places she has sampled from over the years. We will be sure to visit again — great experience overall.

I’ve been here twice and had a great experience. Wait staff are courteous and efficient. The food is very tasty. The pakora is crispy and hot and the curry was adequately spicy. I’d definitely go back!

Very good indian food on fraser st. Have been here thrice. We are vegetarians. So we hv tried chaat items like padi chaat, dahi balla, bread pakoras, samosas n sweets. Also main dishes like dosa, parotta n veg korma. All of them were very tasty. The main cook is a south indian. So south indian food items were really authentic unlike other places.

The décor is nice and the washroom was clean. I’ve been here for lunch buffet twice and both times the food was absolutely delicious.

Delicious food, ordered the«chaat» and«chana bhatura.» Our server had a bold personality. She was very kind and cheerful. 4 Stars because the food took a while to be cooked and served. Anyhow, would definitely go back and love to eat there again. Food was authentic and cooked thoroughly. Parking wasn’t a problem as it was a late Thursday night.

So I was cleaning the piles of paper on my desk and came across a social shopper coupon I purchased for Dhoom last year. Since it was about to expire, I decided to bring home some Indian food one fine evening. Ordered the butter chicken, chicken tikka, paneer, rice, plain naan and spinach and cheese naan. Obviously the restaurant wasn’t making money off my coupon, but the wait staff’s attitude totally changed when I presented the coupon — from smiling to scowling/stares from the 4 people sitting at the bar — it was most unwelcoming at that point. Food was ok. The naans were the best things, but the butter chicken didn’t have enough meat, the chicken tikka wasn’t tender. The paneer(cheese) was actually the best curry I had — full of soft cheese and the sauce complimented the rice really well. The good thing about Dhoom is that the portions are pretty big. There are other better Indian places that provide better food and service in Surrey and around the Fraser area to be honest.

The food here is pretty good. I sampled several dishes and none left me wanting. What did leave me wanting was that I was there with someone on a weeknight, we were the only ones in the place, and it took them forever to come and seat us, forever to come back and take our order, and forever for our food to show up. That is, an otherwise pretty ok experience(again, good food and kind of neat –if a little safe– décor) marred by terrible service.

Haven’t eaten here yet but can report its décor is considered fine-dining in this neck of the woods and date-worthy, booth seating too. definitely a modern, clean environment. parking usually tough to find here.

Four stars. Butter chicken is excellent. This is a real gem among a variety of Indian restaurants in the Fraser St. area.
