Deadly Couture

Went here on October 29^th when my DIY costume fell through.
Was actually on my way to Dressew but thought I might find more original stuff here and I was right!
LOTS of stuff for Halloween plus about 100 dresses I just want to buy for the rest of the year. They have both an upstairs and a downstairs so make sure you check out both.
Ended up buying a frilly lil skirt, some stockings, and a mask = $ 60 and bought some gloves and face paint ect at Dressew afterwards.

I love the clothes and sexy outfits, unfortunately I will never return to purchase something there again.
I find the staff cliquey and rude. Which is surprising to walk in and be looked up and down, glared at when those who work there aren’t really the average normal looking people in the first place. Reminded me of a bunch of insecure high school girls.
I felt so awful inside by the way the staff looked at me, spoke to me. It was so off putting that I couldn’t even continue shopping. I left. I will never go back there again on the basis of the staff being rude, snotty and judgmental.
I guess you have to look their part to get the proper help service and. treatment.
Once again. I will never return there again.

After wearing the dress I bought for a while now and I can tell the fabric quality is lackluster. When I am walking the dress will bunch up into my crotch (which obviously isn’t appealing). Not a good dress, I don’t even wear it anymore.

These guys take all my money all the time. I’m forever looking for sexy things to buy for various events, but their lifestyle/​streetwear store upstairs is just as amazing.
If you need something to wear to Sin City, Plur, or Noir, this is your best bet. Pro tip: they sell festival belts to hold all your goodies so you can boogie hands-​free. They’re also all really rad and helpful. Which helps when I blow half a paycheck.

I came in here looking specifically for a corset. I felt a little out of place in my work suit, but the girls were really friendly and helped me right away. The customer service was excellent. They figured out my size, narrowed down what I wanted it for, and got me kitted out really quickly.
I got lots of tips on how to get it on so that it sat right.
They have a really good fun hosiery section too, so I picked up a pair to keep things cheeky. ;)

DC has really done something awesome with their reno’s. Three for the price of one, now you can go below for a gals only or guys only shopping action or simply go street level to pimp your closet. Having a wide variety of lace, pvc, vinyl, leather and that «other stuff» if you can’t find something awesome then you’re not looking. Vanillas beware. ;)

I love this store ’cause it has clothes that totally suit my style. I am still that goth punk, however, due to the corporate world I’ve had to tone it down significantly, however, there are some designs that work as evening wear that is a good balance of the two. The prices are fair market with the other shops. There is some local designers that are cool. Customer service has always been friendly. My only minor complaint is that they should carry a better line and more variety of hair dye.

Deadly Couture was probably my most favorite place Steve and I went to when we went clothes shopping in Vancouver!
The place is divided up between men’s and women’s clothing so we did not go to the ladies section on our first visit here, we just stayed in the guys.
The men’s section was not small for whatever you may want to label this place. It is a cross between gothic and fetish gear for sure. The merchandise was unique and had brands that I was not too familiar with but had ones that I did know, like Shrine for instance.
In one part of the men’s section they had a considerable selection of rubber shirts which were really cool! I actually bought a pink, rubber rain jacket here. Sure, that coat may be good in the rain but my motive for getting it was more for costuming purposes.
Deadly Couture also has an online store so if you live in the states you can shop online and they will ship it to you!
Really a cool store and coming back in the future is not even a matter to call into question!

This store is wonderful. They have a ton of inventory and something for everyone. Honey was absolutely fabulous, patient, and a huge help. Amazing customer service. I would highly recommend coming to Deadly Couture!

Friendly service, sale section, great selection of styles/​prints (and plus sizes!) and cute accessories. I fell in love with way too many items in this store.

Great items and tho some stuff is super overpriced there are still lots of things in the mid range that are awesome. And you pay for the quality you get. If your looking for party wear, fetish gear and honestly some really radnot too crazy stuff like shoes, pins, leather roses, necklaces and lots more its a fun, great little shop even to check out if you don’t buy anything! Never had a problem with the staff or anything else there. I think they have been around for a long time and Im sure theres a damn good reason for that, cuz they are great! Location is good and shop is easy to get around, find stuff and try on if you need. All in all a fun shopping experience.

I stopped by because I’d seen an item I wanted in their online catalog. Unfortunately, though it was on their online catalog, it wasn’t in their store. The cashier was kind, but unfortunately she couldn’t help me find what I’d come in for. Bummer. From my brief time there, I thought it looked like a great little store with lots of cool clothes, especially for the ladies.

Saturday they had a Black Friday sale with all in stock items 25% off. I could not wait !
Lucky when we arrived the store wasn’t too busy so we were able to look at the latex and try it on without having to wait.
They have by far the biggest. & best selection in Vancouver– (actually prob the entire Pacific Northwest) as I could not find much latex/​rubber in Seattle and locals actually told me to shop here in Vancouver !!
When it comes to rubber /​latex clothing, They have Polymorphe, Honour, Skin Two as well as Bespoke Deadly Couture latex and a few other assorted brands.
As usual the customer service was attentive and helpful. The owner Jenny is awesome. ! She always is friendly and fun to talk to.
Considering that a large amount of latex sold there is her designs — she isn’t pushy at all when it comes to her stuff. In fact she is very modest. (her stuff is super cool and can be custom made for you –size, colour texture & trim)
Plus She laced up the corsets I was trying on. Which is defiantly helpful! I ended up buying one as well as a few other outfits and I am thrilled with my purchases!
Besides the latex — Huge selection HUGE — stockings, gloves, hats, bright hair color, PvC clothing (all kinds) wigs, shoes, boots, — accessories galore! Men’s fetish wear — (which normally is a real bitch to find) Costumes, tutus, jewelry, the list goes on.
Need a specific theme? Military, Cyber, Goth, Steampunk, School girl, Head Mistress, Fetish — Pretty sure they have what you desire.
All and all this is one shop you simply cannot miss checking out — for all your alternative needs. Selection & service that really can’t be beat !

This place had some exquisite latex, some fun accessories and so much hosiery!
I felt that this place was definitely a treasure chest of goodness — and badness in the best way possible– and most folks should find a little something to lead them astray in the vast selection.
I see some of the reviews mention some odd treatment, and while we didn’t have bad service, I did feel that our clothing being more ‘tourist’ than ‘torture’ seemed to have an impact on the service we got.
Overall, I wouldn’t hesitate to come in and I did enjoy being able to browse reasonably unfettered, but they seemed very shocked to know that yes, I know all about latex wear.
Don’t judge a book by it’s comfortable shoes, I was covered in it when you were still watching Rugrats, lovergirl.

Luv this cute fetish/​rubber latex shop in gastown, great staff with great clothes!
Of couse the first thing I had my eyes on were the hand made corset’s{ designed by a lovely lady who owns the shop?} and had to try on a amazing latex skirt to top it off. The staff were super helpful, they had me try on a feather shrug and little top hat that finished the outfit to maximum fetishness.
My main goal here was to pick up a new wig for my Priss halloween costume and a top and fishnets to complete my Blade runner inspired theme.
I will be returning to buy a few outfits for some Noir nights and Sin outings. If my wallet can afford the luxury of super sexy outfits that is!
Since being there last I heard an update that they opened a store upstairs from the shop. They also have a online store if you’d like to check out the wares prior to visiting, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed :]

I was a little surprised by the one negative review, as I have had nothing but fantastic experiences and customer service when shopping here and have many friends (even non goth ones) that have nothing but nice things to say about this store, but some people are just hard to please I guess.
I came here for the first time a few months ago and decided that I was going to buy my first latex piece. Deadly Couture offers a huge selection and I spent the first 20 minutes not really knowing where to start. Jenni was very patient with me while I tried on about a million different dresses and spent forever trying to decide which on to get.
After wearing my dress out to Sin City that night, the zipper got stuck and I couldn’t undo it all the way. I took it back to the store for Jenni to have a look at, and since it was stuck really good she sent it back to the manufacturer and exchanged it for a brand new one, no problem!
I would most certainly come back here, as well as recommend it to friends.

Firstly, I’m not into the «scene» per se but I had a terrific experience here.
Me and my female pal were just finishing brunch and started discussing shopping. She said she really liked this brand of clothing called Lolita because of the designs and the long sleeves. She IS quite conservative so I had to think about this one… hmmm Myself, I was dressed fairly conservative.
As we entered, we were greeted by this delightful lady with short blond hair in a punkish style. What a sweetheart and so professional! My friend didn’t buy anthing but I ended up with a leather jacket with studs and a these extra loops for… hmmm guess it could be for something naughty? or I guess it’s just the style. Anyhow, I really liked it and the price was awesome!

This is Vancouver’s leading store in fetish and rubber wear. They carry tons of different brands of men’s and women’s alternative clothing. They also carry accessories and shoes and some hair falls, so no matter your style, goth, punk, lolita, pinup, steampunk, they will probably have threads for you.
Don’t walk by too fast or you may miss the front door! If you can see Venus & Mars, just follow the stairs underneath and you will find yourself at Deadly Couture. The store itself is quite small, and on Saturday afternoons, can get a little cramped, but the goods are all packed in, and there is a ton of styles to chose from.
The store is run by a lady named Jenny, who will go out of her way to make sure you have the right size in the outfit you have picked, and even go so far as to do alterations for you (on the spot sometimes) just so you can wear your new outfit out that evening! Now is that customer service or what?! She has a friendly staff of cute girls who are always smiling and giggling and look like they just stepped out of Harajuku. If you have any style, you will check out this store.
