Danny’s Dogs and Shakes

The seawall walking/​biking path is so pretty and inspires me to take up a regular schedule of walking and jogging. However, it also makes me think of hot dogs and ice cream at Danny’s Dogs. On a sunny summer day it’s a great place to stop for a bite to eat. Several tables outside overlook to the beautiful boats at Coal Harbour.
The ice cream flavors are wonderful. I definitely recommend the black cherry and the chocolate peanut butter cup. I have not tried a milkshake (yet) — but you can pick any of the ice cream flavors– so I know they must be good.
They microwave the hot dog buns to be warm. I have mixed feeling about this. A warm bun is a nice touch– but the only time I want my food microwaved is at home! But really, it’s not that big a deal. The hot dogs are average size– they have a special 2 for $ 4 which saves you a little money and will fill you up if you’re super hungry.
Hot dogs and ice cream are summer foods for me, and Danny’s Dogs agrees. They are closed for the winter. I’ll have to wait til June to finally try a shake and get my next hot dog.
