Specialties
We specialize in rare psych, garage, prog, punk and new wave vinyl. We also carry a wide selection of LP’s in all genres. All of our products are fairly priced but we’re always willing to negotiate on the price of used records. Our LP stock turns over pretty quickly so it’s a good idea to drop by the store often if you want to see what’s new. There is a great selection of gift items in the store as well including an eclectic selection of books, cards, stationery, tea, lighting, chocolate, mobiles, umbrellas and toys. Check out dandelionemporium.blogspot.com for current updates on what’s new in the store.
History
Established in 2006.
Dandelion Records began as little more than a table at the flea market in the Big Red Barn. The shop then moved into a shared space on Kingsway (that is now occupied by Budgies Burritos) and a year later moved into it’s own space on Broadway and Main. We opened the doors of Dandelion Emporium at our current location in October, 2008. In May, 2009 we merged the 2 stores into the store we have today, Dandelion Records and Emporium…
Meet the Business Owner
Laura F.
Business Owner
My husband, Jeff, and I had a dream of opening a store together in which he would sell records (his passion) and I would sell unique and wonderful products from around the world (including handmade local goods). We both have an interest in music and a background in art and design, so it seemed the idea might actually work… through some hard work and perseverence Dandelion Records and Emporium was born.
