Colour Nails And Waxing

I’ve been here a few times, give a place a chance ya know
First time great
Second time, felt a little rushed but I just walked in and a pile of people came in after me
Third time, I’m done. For the first half it was just me there for a manicure and in that time stopped to answer her personal time over 4 times. Then when someone else walked in for a pedicure the rest of my appointment was rushed and slightly painful. The lady was rough and my fingers are red and unbelievably dry, like my skin in cracking down my fingers. And the polish job is sub par, not enough time to set under the light and the edges are sloppy, not to mention a lot of parts there wasn’t enough polish put on and you can see my nail show through (I got them painted all black, it’s pretty obvious)
Slow down, get off your phone, maybe hire another person to handle the workload
Either way, this was my last visit

This is my favorite place in Vancouver to get my nails done. I always get a full set of acrylics from Kayla and I absolutely love her. She’s not the most talkative and she sometimes speaks to her coworkers in Vietnamese, but she shapes and does my nails perfectly.
The nail salon is always really quiet, which I love because I usually end up in the salon for about 1.5−2 hours and she can take her time doing my nails. When it’s quiet they also don’t mind if I request they change the channel on TV. Best nail place in Vancouver!

I decided to try this place out because I just moved into the neighbourhood and it was pretty close. The first time I went was alright, a little thick with the application but passable, so I decided to come back and I really wish I didn’t.
They recommended me a certain shade of the colour I wanted and I trusted them as they probably know better but as they were drying they would wrinkle. I pointed it out but she just put on more and more to cover it up, until it was about 6 layers in and it was still apparent but she said top coat would fix it all.
I wasn’t happy and showed it to the manager and she was trying to convince me first that they were okay but I disagreed because I didn’t like how they looked all wrinkly and plus some of the application was sloppy you could see the uneven layers.
I had already been there an hour so she wanted to re do those nails but I could not be there any longer. At that point the manager was fed up with me not wanting to stay longer and just walked away.
I mentioned that that wasn’t great customer service and the manager came out of the back shouting. I had been told this wasn’t that great of a place as they have a reputation for messy application but the manager said bluntly and loudly «I DON’T CARE WHAT PEOPLE THINK!»
I am all for supporting small businesses in my neighbourhood but I am for sure
never ever going there again!

I love this place. It relaxed and the people there are really nice. Every time I go I leave feeling great.
I’ve been to a number of places for pedicures and theirs is the most thorough. A lot of places skimp out on the foot and calf massage.
Great massage chairs and a clean environment.
I’ve been here twice and wont go anywhere else as long as I live in this area.

I left a review previously about the painful and horrible job, and the verbal abuse I received because I pointed out the errors and the bleeding cuticles.
So I went to get it repaired by my usual place and thanks to over unskilled overzealous sanding and filing I’m now going to have to pay to have all of my acrylics replaced so a trip here has now cost me $ 60 all for a colour change.
Go elsewhere, save your money, cuticles and quality of your nails!

I live right across the street so I figured I would check it out and get a pedicure with my BFF. Price was reasonable, pedicure is lovely. They have massage chairs to sit in while they massage and sand your feet… I definitely felt pampered!
Kayla the owner is really sweet. I am considering returning to try out the waxing. I will definitely return for a pedicure again.

I’ve been here a couple of times now since it’s in my neighbourhood and both times have been quite pleasant. Gentle with the cuticle nippers, use warm towels, even application with the polish. I have nothing bad to say. I will be a regular.
