Finally tried this place after hearing about the hype and seeing everyones snapchat/instagram. This place reminds me of Chatime a little bit because you get to choose the ice and sugar level(not sure which business came first). Didn’t flip over backwards for the bubble tea but I wouldn’t mind coming back every so often. I order the Taro sago drink… it was mediocre… the drink tasted like any other BBT shops around town. Props for being unique with their drinks though!

So amazed that Coco made it to Vancouver’s bubble tea market too! Coco is literally EVERYWHERE in China(or at least in the city I’m originally from) As always, I HATE regular milk teas with powders(so bad for you), I tried their«fresh milk tea» with real whole milk, it was surprisingly delightful. I was expecting it to be more bland since it’s only tea and real milk. Their pearls are a bit smaller than usual. Texture is good. The only thing is they seem to pre-make their popular milk teas in bulk ahead of time(problem when you order bbt from a popular chain shop). I would prefer my milk teas made fresh and vigorously shaken before served. Definitely better than Chatime.

After a bad experience at Cha time Burnaby yesterday, decided to give Coco a try. Called in and ordered about 10 bubble teas. I was instantly greeted by the employees right when i walked into Coco. I walked right to the cashier, and all of my bubble teas were ready for me. I could see there was a huge selection on the screens but I found that a lot of the drink available were tea based. They didn’t have much unique flavors. I asked them if they have a point system, and they do! They currently have the Belly card and the cashier scanned my card 7 times. Staff was really nice and I really enjoyed when the female employee that was making the bubble teas, took time to explain to me the difference between milk tea and a milk latte.(Latte has fresh milk while milk tea does not). Will be coming to Coco instead of cha time!

I love COCO! It’s pretty new and close to my house. I wanted to try it since it got pretty rave reviews from my friends that live in the area. It costs a little more than typical bubble tea places but I think has comparable prices to Chatime. The drinks are really yummy and I like the sago toppings. They’re also pretty fast to get drinks out and have a loyalty program. The only drawback since it’s a take out place is there is very limited seating if you’re planning to stay.

Herro if you like the milk teas and the pearls, Coco’s is the best place in town for that. They have fresh, good quality milk tea– unlike a lot of over sweetened, powdered milk tea, Coco’s tastes really fresh because you can actually taste the tea. You can also choose how much sugar/ice goes into your drinks to meet your specific needs. Drinks range from $ 4-$ 6. And ermagerd dont even get me started on the pearls. Perfect texture, really flavourful(without it being too sweet) and they always give you plenty. The pudding is amazeballs too. Go for: kick ass milk tea and pearls and pudding and matcha and red bean and smoothies and fruit juices and nomnomnom Don’t go for: a bad time, Coco’s will always make you happy *review contributed by an unnamed person

Love the 3 Guys, and Black Tea Macchiato here, but for some reason, even 30% sugar is still a bit too sweet. Not a fan of their pearl’s texture though. Service is always great

I honestly think most bubble tea places taste the same… Chatime milk tea definitely has a more roasted milk tea taste in my opinion. coco seems a bit more creamy/milky. I don’t mind both. I also got ‘3 guys’ which gave me pearls, grass jelly and pudding which Chatime did not allow me to have so that was a plus on my part. The line up is not as bad as Chatime but their parking is very limited. Atmosphere inside is really relaxing in my opinion. I would be able to study/work if I needed to. Doesn’t seem to be any WiFi. It is semi loud. I’m not wowed but not disappointed either!

I made my way here right after my sister told me about a new bubble tea place in the area. The place was super busy as I made my way to the counter to place an order of 2 ladies(milk tea, pearls and pudding) and mango slush. At just under $ 10 for two drinks, the pricing is decent. The quality of the drinks are slightly better than Milk & Sugar Café nearby. Less icy than the competitor. However, you are also paying more for the quality. There is also a loyalty program in place for those interested. The milk tea was very good. The tapioca pearls had a nice chewy texture. The pudding was somewhat lacking. I did not get much pudding in mines. It was on sale in that the large size was the same price as the medium size. The mango slush was that of the canned variety. If I went to Blossom Teas or Bubble Queen for the fresh mango slush, it would have costed more. Overall, solid bubble tea option for the price point they are charging. Seating is limited. The street parking can be difficult depending on time of day. Cash and debit card only. It is nice that they actually accept debit.

I didn’t know about this place until we were driving by Kingsway and we saw a super long line up outside. In our heads, we were thinking, how did this place popup suddenly and become so popular. So after dinner and shopping we decided to drop by to see what makes this place popular. Apparently this place is a franchaise chain like Chatime etc. I looked it up online and saw they have it in Malaysia, Taiwan, Korea, Canada, United States, Indonesia and other places. I looked at the menu and it looks like any other bubble tea place. I actually didn’t know what to get but I did notice all their drinks came with pearl. Even the pictures of their drink on the wall have pearls or bubble in them. I have to tell you, I personally hate pearls or bubble. I find those chewy things pretty disgusting. So I did notice all their drinks has pearls and taking it out won’t make the drink 50 cents cheap. Yes adding pearls or any other chewy stuff cost an extra 50 cents. So I saw bubble Ga Ga drink and in small prints it says it passion fruit tea with coconut jelly and tropica. In my mind tropica are tiny white balls. So I ordered that. When I got it, I saw the pearls. In my head I was like… Grrrr… I didn’t want to argue. So tropica are pearls according to CoCo dictionary. So I just drank it the way it was. The pearls are different compared to other places. Its not nasty at all. The drinks are not bad. Yes you can let them know how much sugar you want. I got 30% sugar. Also this place give Belly Points. By visiting this place 14 times, you get one free drink. That is pretty good. I recommend this place and I will definitely be coming back

Having tried the new bubble tea back home since there were so many coco’s opening up I got a first taste on how this chain is compared to other bubble tea places. This was the first time trying it out here in Van. I tried the signature 3 ladies which came with tapioca and pudding. After taking a couple of sips(more like numerous gulps), I was a bit disappointed in the taste. It just tasted very original like their coco milk tea. Not very special imo. The tapioca was nicely brewed. Soft and chewy and not overcooked. +1 for Tapicoa! Pudding was pretty tasty as well. The drink was a bit boring. Nothing to get really excited about nor there was not distinct taste from any other drinks. I would have to give this place another try to give it a more fair review. Pros: — Convenient if commuting — Lots of other food places within the area –Good walking distance if your within the area Cons: — Located right on a very busy road. — Parking is very difficult all street parking unless in the back there is space and not many people parking — Only one location which is only in Burnaby — Driving from Metro town is still a hassle

Bubble tea isn’t bad, pretty standard/average compared to other places honestly. I had the fresh lemon black tea with peals and it lacked the lemon taste in it, making me question the fresh lemon they added. Their selection for the drinks is pretty small, not many options also they are more pricer than other bubble tea places. I rather go to Milk and Sugar which is 2 blocks up for my bubble tea fix, which is cheaper and better.

The bubble tea competition is growing in Vancouver with the newest addition of Coco Fresh Juice and Tea. Having a strong presence around the world similar to Chatime, they offer their top ten drinks and options to customize sugar and ice levels. Being an avid bubble tea drinker and coincidently living walking distance to the location, this has instantly become my go to place for a grab and go drink. Parking and seating may not be the best here but their clean décor, quick service, and quality toppings make up for it. I see this location being great for the summertime where everyone will go in and out with a drink instead of sitting down. As of now in the cold season, I do prefer Chatime’s larger seating and parking availability. As for their drinks, the flavour is strong and the pearls have the right chewy consistency. I’m sure I’ll be visiting here more often!

There have been so many bubble tea places opening lately. Coco claims to be the biggest bubble tea chain in the world and has bogo during grand opening. Order any of the speciality ones and get a regular bubble tea for free. I got the matcha green tea with red bean, a few pennies shy from $ 5. I asked for 30% sugar yet still found it really sweet. I don’t drink a lot of bbt so I can’t compare it to anywhere else. No parking around the shop.

This is actually a big chain bubble tea brand making one of it’s debuts today hence the very soft opening. They only had 10 selection on the board, long wait and slightly stressed but friendly staff. The ironic thing is that there was barely anyone inside. Close to Kingsway and Joyce. I had the lemon bubble tea. Very generous on the pearls. Lots of seating. No real décor.

fast and efficient even on their first day. all the flavours were just like from taiwan. ask for the less/half sweet as they are on the sweeter side. Strongly recommend the grassjelly. none of that crunchy fake gelatin crap at the other places. price range is average, many of the train’s traditional flavours are available like the 3 guys(milk tea + pudding + jelly + bubble) drink up
