Considering its location in pricey Coal Harbour area, price is reasonable. Mani and pedi combo is $ 45 and they have a wicked massage chair I kept playing with until the aesthetician asked me to stop so she can get my nails done lol. Service is nothing much to rave about and the result was average. They seem to get a lot of regulars and walk-​ins. Staff frequently chit chats amongst themselves and it can get pretty annoying. I was able to get a same day appointment on a Saturday so I was very happy about that. I would come back here if I really needed to get my nails done quickly close to home.

The Service is AWFUL. I’ve been there many times and saw how girls talk bad behind their clients backs. They GOSSIP about clients! They turned out one old lady by saying that they are fully booked, then they had a big laugh and called her «annoying».
Also, they are RUDE, they eat at the spa, they are on the phone, sitting on the chairs.
Feels very UNCOMFORTABLE in there! Avoid!

HORRIBLE SERVICE. I’ve been been to chi chi more than a few times and even though they do an ok job on nails they have the worst service I have ever seen. They are really rude, disorganized, and often ignore you while talking in Vietnamese to each other.
I called last night to book an appointment and left a message. They phoned me back this morning and left me a message saying it was booked for the time I requested and to call back to confirm. When I called back they had no idea what appointment I was referring to at first but then ended up telling me they would see me at 3:30. I drove all the way there and paid for parking for an hour and a half but when I walked in they told me they don’t have a record of my appointment and don’t have time for me. I don’t understand how they couldn’t have had my appointment when I confirmed with 2 different people??? Waste of time. They were rude to me the whole time and didn’t even apologize. Don’t waste your time with this rude/​disorganized nail salon!!!

I go here out of convenience. It’s close to where i live and they almost always accept walk-​ins at any time. I recommend Betty for gel/​shellac manis. She’s very precise and does a clean job but whatever you do, DO NOT MOVE while she’s working on you. Do not talk to the person next to you, do not laugh, do not breathe because she WILL get mad at you.
Place is pretty clean. Massage chairs are always, but is it just me or are they kind of difficult to figure out!
Yes, they do speak in another language, and yes im sure at times they are talking smack about the customers, but get over it. We all do it.

I got a gel nail set done on Friday. By Sunday I had one of the nails that the gel was lifting and all the corners between the nail and gel would get makeup in between because it wasn’t sealed properly. On Monday when I got back in the city I went back and they took three of them off and sanded them all down and re did the top coat. By the very next day one was lifting again and the day after that the corners of 3 different nails chipped off. I filed them down myself and painted them. Not sure what was wrong but not going back to chichi again.

I didn’t think this place was very professional, they were on the phones talking, sitting around chatting with each other, their smocks were over shorts and T– shirts with flip flops. The Pedi is the most sloppiest massage like their just going through the motions, not special or relaxing at all.
I don’t think it is professional when a business has employees and they are all talking in their language in front of non speaking customers. Not a cool vibe. Nail salons are known for this kind of behaviour. not to be tolerated. I can find a great place for the same price that will be so happy to do the work and give nice decent service. Actually I have and am so Happy.

I had a great experience. I went for a pedicure, and the woman who did my pedicure took time to make sure I liked the polish I chose (put it on a fingernail to see), gave a great leg/​foot massage, and the whole atmosphere of the place felt very welcoming. The prices are super reasonable and I’m glad it’s only 2 blocks from my mew apartment. Happy I found this spot!

As a server at a restaurant my feet are always in need of some TLC. I came to ChiChi nails for that and was very disappointed, a quick 25 min pedicure including what I suppose could of been considered a massage was not what I had in mind. Also having the tv blaring above was not my cup of tea.

HORRIBLE! From actual experience to application.
APPLICATION
I went the day before my Italy trip and went in for a shellac mani and normal polish pedi, the shellac mani was peeling within days after and the pedi came off completely by 2 weeks which was unusually short for me. Also my friend who went on the trip with me went to a different salon and both her mani and pedi lasted the entire trip. My mani was shellac, hers was normal polish and it lasted much longer. I felt like I wasted my money.
EXPERIENCE
In terms spa/​nail experience, although this spa looks clean I found their nail practices to be very unhygienic (handling money while wearing the exact same gloves and returning to do customers pedi’- this was a big concern and red flag to me) I’m actually not sure why people continue to go to them, there must be some good aestheticians in there, but I will not risk going back there (despite living right next door) and would strongly advise everyone to go somewhere else for a similar price or pay extra for a more hygienic place.

Nice, big massage chairs, but I didn’t really enjoy this place. From the moment I stepped in, I felt like the service was really lacking. The folks working there made me feel like I was bothering them, and the pedicure itself really wasn’t great. The water was cold, the pedicure was really fast, and it wasn’t very friendly.
I’ll keep looking for a good salon in my hood.

Terrible salon– bad service, terrible technique in cutting and filing nails as well as over booking appointments so you time is never when you actually book. The staff is so rude and they have absolutely no interest in providing a service of any kind. When they first opened and the owners were there all the time is was so much better. They all speak in Vietnamese and so obviously talk about you. All the women I know in my Building will not step foot in there anymore.

The girl was slapping my legs and talking to her co worker during the massage. She even stopped mid massage and rolled her chair over to converse in another language with her co worker. All the other clients were looking at me in disbelief. The pedicure wasn’t even 20 mins long and when I called the owner to complain all he asked is well was the polish good? I was invited back to redo the pedi but only for the next morning appt and I had to work. Boo.
Update: I’ve given them another try and maybe they had some staff changes but it’s much better now. Still speak in another language which is my pet peeve but it is what it is.

I’m updating my review as this is my go-​to for nails. Cheap and fantastic quality. The owner is always in and all of the girls are lovely and hilarious. My mani lasts a solid two to three weeks and they have fantastic massage chairs for pedis. They have tvs and four stations with a great selection of polish colours. I cannot speak highly enough of these ladies.

I love that this place is always well staffed when I come in so there’s never an issue getting my nails done in a timely fashion. The location is new and always spotless and parking is usually available right in front of the shop. Actually, I’d give them 4.5 stars if I could. but I’m holding out on giving them all 5 until they start serving wine and cocktails (c’mon there’s a wine shop right next door!)

My hotel, a couple of blocks away, referred my wife here as the closest salon was fully booked for the morning. We booked an appt for her, and walked over and they took her immediately on arrival. My wife is very picky, and she said they did a very good job with her french tips.
I had recently cut my own nails, but could have used a «touch up» on my cuticals, which they did immediately and only charged me $ 10.
We would obviously return!

After admiring my coworkers shellac manicure, she told me about this place right in our neighbourhood, so we went after work today to get manis and pedis.
The place is very clean and the staff are friendly-​although I was bothered by the fact that they spoke to each other in Vietnamese the entire time. On more than one occasion I noticed one say something to the other and then they would glance up at me, which uncomfortable thinking they could be talking about me. I used to work as a receptionist at a popular nail chain in the city, and our staff were very good about speaking English around customers unless they were unsure what a customer was asking and needed a translation.
Aaaaanyways, on to the nails. They did an OK job. They did my mani and pedi at the same time, which meant I had to have the UV light on my lap which was not the most comfortable-​this would be great if you were alone and wanted to finish quickly but I found it very difficult to talk much with my friend while there.
The pedicure was alright-​I HATE that they use the tubs that pump water in. These are IMPOSSIBLE to clean completely because bacteria can hide out in the tubes that pump the water in-​although it isn’t glamorous, a simple stainless steel tub is much more hygienic. There are a couple of spots on my feet where they scraped off the callouses but did not smooth them out, so there is now a ridge of dry skin on the bottom of my feet.
This was my first time getting shellac, and it is something I would do again. However, I notice a couple of spots near the base of my nail where you can almost see through the polish as it was not applied thick enough-​fortunately, you can only see if you look very closely.
Price was not bad-​it came to $ 60 for the shellac mani and regular pedi-​but I think I will go elsewhere next time.

Recently wet there and had an alright experience. As a guy it is a different experience. My fiancé took me there for a pedicure and manicure.
Overall the location is nice; however, I find the staff hard to understand. They certainly expect that you know what to do and which foot/​hand to have where. So, not so great for beginners. Also, you would think they would charge less for a man’s manicure/​pedicure because of less work being involved; however, that is not the case!

As someone that has recently gone a bit nutty with those goupon dealy things and have been getting a LOT of mani/​pedis lately, I’d have to say this place is just ok.
They have massage chairs, which is nice, and they could easily handle a group of 5, but the set up is a little strange in that there is minimal privacy and people walking on the street can look right in on you. The pedicure was really good and they did a good job, but the manicure, which was done while you are sitting in the massage chair was just ok. The woman just held my hand in her hand and just did a quick job. The nail colour selection is a bit lacking as well.

I’ve passed by this nail spot since it opened over a year ago and am kicking myself for not trying it out sooner!
It’s super close and convenient and I have to agree with the other reviewers sentiment: excellent overall!
Great value for money — they offer a discount on nail services Tuesday and Wednesday! I got a full 1hr long manicure service with massage, great attention to detail and the woman (Rose) was just so sweet! I will definitely be going back and taking friends with me!
