CB2

Reasonable midway between Ikea and EQ3. Some hits, some misses. I.e. some of their stuff is rather nice, some tries too hard to be trendy. But what is nice has a rather simple and bare design, which is what I prefer.
Ditto with prices, especially on their kitchen stuff — some is good value, some is not. I am given them a moderate price based on the good deals, not on everything’s value.
Since there isn’t all that much choice to pick from, it is a bit hit & miss. I.e. go there to browse around and grab the special little item that strikes your fancy, but don’t plan your home’s entire furnishing on the expectation that CB2 will have all items as you like them.

I frequent CB2 often because sometimes you can find little gems. The furniture is very trendy and they have a big selection. The staff are quick to greet you upon entering the store but soon after you are forgotten. I was trying to find a product and had to ask the staff at the front three times until they turned around and noticed me. They were too involved in their conversation. I wasn’t appreciative of that.

I like their furniture but the experience with them is just… terrible…
When I made my purchase, I was told that my order will take 6 weeks to be shipped. After six weeks, I called to check on the order, then i was told it’s gonna be another 4 – 6 weeks. I guess what i’m paying is just the product, comes with no services at all…
no, i will not recommend to my friends and yes, i’m telling them to stay away!

I check out this store every time I am on Robson st. They have a few things that interest me but somewhat overpriced. There aren’t a lot of sales at this store. I have bought many plates and kitchen/​dining room stuff. The furniture isn’t that modern and quality seems similar to ikea.

One of the biggest furniture places that I’ve been to downtown. Styles are neutral with some edge if you’re looking for that. I find that the designs are cool, however, can see this getting outdated 10 — 15 years later, therefore, you need to be careful about how you want to set your room. Very reasonably priced.

Great product, great staff, have been shopping there multiple times and was very happy, just do not give them your e. mail address, they will use it to send you promo e. mails every single day, took me a while to have them remove it from the list.

I love this store. To date, I have purchased an avec pewter sofa with two down-​filled throw pillows, a carbon go cart desk, a carbon filing cabinet, and orbit chairs (made in Italy — really nice feel). These particular items I found to be of excellent value between quality and price. So far the furniture still looks like new since the day I purchased them (6 months ago). Recently I also purchased some Kronos drinking glasses from them, made in Poland — very light and just the right size to hold in the hand (but must wash by hand). They were only $ 1.50 each! It’s hard to find well-​designed drinking glasses — usually they’re too heavy, too big, too clumsy feeling.
You are not going to get the cheapest prices or an extremely large selection at CB2. However, it is still a couple of steps above a certain big chain furniture store that I shall not name. The pieces they do put out are for the most part very beautifully designed, with a modern flare. I also rely on their website for reviews of their furniture pieces to see what others have to say first before buying.
Overall I found the customer service at CB2 to be top-​notch. No complaints from me.

On it surface it looks like entry level lower price furniture and home accessories store, but then you get inside you encounter the High Tech Staff with Headset radios and their pointed questions. They you learn this poor cousin of American Furniture and Lifestyle Powerhouse Crate & Barrel. Let use the people were nice but the Furniture was uninspiring and the prices were steep.

If you’re tired of going to Ikea, why not try CB2? It’s a step up from the usual Swedish retailer, without having to go too far into the deep end of price with something like West Elm.
I really love all the stylish pieces, great colour combinations and playful take they have on dishes and cookware. Best of all, many of their items is sized perfectly for condos — perfect for Vancouver.
Pro-​tip: Head to the back for the clearance/​as-​is section to find a good score that’s heavily reduced!

When i last visited cb2, i was not impressed from start to finish. At first, i got no greeting because the staff that were working were all standing behind the counter talking amongst themselves. The music is a bit displeasing to say the least, too loud and somewhat like rap. The quality doesn’t look that great and the pricing is somewhere in the middle. Anyhow, no one ever greeted me till i left the store.
In my opinion, this store is in comparison with Ikea.

Wonderful addition to the downtown core. A bit more style than Ikea but also reasonable prices. Definitely worth a look if you like modern furniture.

Furniture wise, I love this place. Having lived in San Francisco, I was so excited when this place finally opened up in on Robson. I ordered the Alpine bed, Marble C-​table, and a Phoenix Swoon Chair. Style wise, I love all the pieces and as far as quality goes I think they will hold up for quite some time.
Their delivery service leaves a bit to be desired though. You’re supposed to check over your furniture while the delivery men are in your apartment so that if there’s a flaw you can put the furniture back on the truck. Great in theory but this is really not feasible in practice when they deliver you 6 boxes of well packaged furniture that you need to assemble yourself. Those delivery men are not going to wait around while you assemble your furniture only to find out that there is a huge dent in your chair and the legs wobble.
Since they won’t do pick ups on defective furniture it looks like me and my Phoenix Swoon Chair will have to make a trip on public transit to do an exchange (I’m just thankful it wasn’t the bed that was damaged!).

I want to take you all home with me, each and every one of your functional and funky sofas that also double as sleepers. Pair them up with one of the many brightly patterned area rugs and serve snacks on delightfully whimsical dishes perched upon one of those little end tables that tuck in neatly beside an armrest. Why, I think I can actually furnish an entire home with your stuff.
I’m guessing it’s not the best quality, but I was so distracted by the bright colours and, wow, wait are those green wired edison bulbs on a distressed piece of wood doubling as a headboard? What was I saying?
From the outside, I don’t know if it’s easy to tell how deep CB2 is, and by deep I don’t mean soulful, I mean literally. I got lost in there for a solid 30 minutes. And in that time I had outfitted several homes I don’t own.
When I left, the only thing coursing through my veins was a sense of home décor urgency. It’s time to redecorate.

I would consider this place in between IKEA and EQ3. The prices are a bit on the expensive side but the quality is better. I would pass on CB2 but I like their sofas. They were comfortable, almost too comfortable as I almost fell asleep.

When I first went to a CB2 store in SanFra, It was love at first sight, kinda’ the same effect I had the first time ever at ikea.
It’s been less than a year and I am starting to get over CB2. Just like it happened with ikea. Although… I think with ikea the love lasted a bit longer.

I’m a fan of CB2 in the States and was happy when it opened in Vancouver. Reason — it’s a bit more trendier and better quality than Ikea.
The store is massive, but well designed. You can spend a couple hours in here looking at all the knick-​knacks, wall art, and décor. The prices are decent, although some items may be more on the expensive side (i.e. a $ 500 desk that looks more like it should be $ 300).
My husband and I have been looking for a nice curved floor lamp for a while, but they are usually all more than $ 500. If they weren’t, the quality was poor. We finally found our lamp at CB2! It’s called the Big Dipper and cost about $ 220. Best of all, it’s very sturdy and easy to assemble.
We also picked up some affordable stemware! Most importantly, they were dishwasher safe.
There is an underground parking lot behind CB2 where you can pick-​up large items. They also deliver.
Can’t wait to go back!

I really, really, *really* didn’t want to like CB2. It threatens all that is «cool» and «underground» in my design aesthetic. I mean, we all know Ikea — we all get that it’s mass-​produced, inexpensive, and relatively inoffensive in appearance. And we all know EQ3, Inform, et al – we understand that the products found there will be of a higher quality, better design, and will therefore be more expensive. Both have their place in my world, it’s just that one appeals to my elitest design-​loving tendencies a bit more than the other.
And then there’s this: CB2, a mashup of mass-​produced, well-​designed products that bring the product prices down *just* enough for the average person to comprehend spending, but still high enough that the design itself won’t be sacrificed. And yes, I like it. I like it a lot. Unfortunately though, the products themselves aren’t what I’d classify as «investment pieces,» if you’re pickin’ up what I’m throwin’ down. It’s kinda like that $ 15 bottle of wine: why not just spend the extra $ 5 and get a the one you *actually* want?
As it stands right now, the design is there, the products are there, but the quality doesn’t really warrant the price-​tag.
… but really, who am I kidding? Y’all know I’m a be there errr’day.

I couldn’t be more excited when CB2 opened on Robson. YES!
Their items are a cross between the Home Delight and EQ3 styles and prices. Unfortunately, the quality is Ikea and maybe just a tad bit higher. Most of the items are pretty well made, except there are a lot of flaws in their glass and bar ware. I had to look through about 15 carafes to find one without as many bubbles or imperfections. That’s what happens when it’s made in China, I guess. Even though I had to do some digging, I found what I needed. CB2 would get higher marks if their prices were lower because I don’t think the quality is all there.

Just in time for Nood closing down, CB2 provides pretty home things for less than EQ3 prices, but better quality than IKEA.
Since they’ve just opened, seems like staff there is a little … disoriented in their own store. No biggie — at least they’re friendly.
I just wish their bed frames came in doubles.
Not sure if I just remembered the price incorrectly, but some prices were different from the catalog. I’ll go check again!
